The services here were not *bad* but for the price, they were not excellent. I had to wait about ten extra minutes after my appointment time, even though I arrived early. My stylist was professional and greeted me warmly- I also saw many of them do this with various clients, even if they were not working with the particular person they were greeting. I was just getting a hair cut, but they started with a complimentary mini massage and mini facial. They do not force you to do these. You can decline both of these services, but they are complimentary, so why not? When she started washing my hair she was trying to upsell the Aveda products at every turn, but she was not pushy. For the actual hair cut, I got a "higher level" stylist (according to the receptionist) but paid mid-level price. Based on the job she did on my hair, I am going to assume she was a mid-level stylist. The cut itself was okay, not the best ever, but when she straightened my hair afterward (my hair is naturally very curly) her technique was not very good. She halfway straightened it with a blow dryer and did the rest with a flat iron, which seemed a little lazy to me. Also when walking from each location to the next, she did not wait to walk with me, but just walked ahead of me from station to station, even when leaving when it was time to pay. I would consider myself pretty laid back, but on the whole it seemed a little impatient and rude to me.

I have been visiting this salon for 6 years now, and I have floated to every stylist there. Dan Shepherd is definitely my stylist of choice. He always gives a sexy cut, and beautiful, natural color that is so easy to maintain. From experience, Dan can also do the more "edgy" styles that most stylists have a difficult time pulling off. Even though his prices are a bit high, Dan is a "higher level" stylist and you will get your moneys worth! I highly recommend seeing him for whatever type of hair you have, or whatever type of style you want! He can do it all! I have had issues with this salon however. I once had a "lower level" stylist attempt to turn my dark hair to red, and she let me walk out with the same color I had came in with. I asked for red hair and left with dark brown. DO NOT see a lower level stylist! Yes, the prices are cheaper, but you get what you pay for and there is a reason why the higher level stylists get paid more. The worst feeling in the world is walking out of a salon with no self-confindence in what you just spent money on. However, in instances like these, the manager of the salon took great care of my concern and had another stylist completely re-do my hair for free! It turned out great, and the salon was very understanding and helpful. I would recommend hair services at Pure Concepts. Stylists like Dan Shepherd and Megan Heher will guarantee satisfaction!

I made a nail appointment over a month in advance and the salon cancelled the appointment without any attempt to reschedule within my needed timeframe. I purposely made this appt. well in advance as I will be out of town for two weeks. I mentioned at the initial scheduling how important this specific date was and was assured that I was booked, no problem. I get a message a few days ago telling me that the salon had cancelled my appointment for "mandatory training". I called to reschedule. I said I would accept another nail tech or any different time that day. No help whatsoever. Person I spoke was clearly not interested in trying to make this work. I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

I just moved to the area and was really nervous about getting my hair cut in a new place. Ive had several bad experiences in the past with new places. Pure Concept was recommended to me and so I checked it out. I absolutely loved it! I loved the complimentary services and everyone was really nice! The atmosphere was very nice and clean. I love the cut Karen gave me! She was also so friendly and easy to talk to! Im so excited I found my new salon so quickly!!

I love Pure Concept Salon. I have been getting my hair cut and colored there for 10 years. It is a nice, professional, relaxing atmosphere. My favorite part is the spa like shampoo and mini facial I receive which is included for free with a hair appointment. Sharissa is awesome as massaging my scalp when she shampoos my hair. And my hair always looks great! I highly recommend this salon

Pure Concept on Montgomery Rd was willing to schedule a Mani. Pedi and massage for 2 friends at the same time (I looked at many places). No one else had the staff to handle the request. We were treated and welcomed as friends from the moment we walked in. We enjoyed our day and it was full of laughter including the staff!

My hair is very difficult to work with and it recently reacted badly to getting colored. I went to Pure Concept to have it fixed and Megan was awesome! She fit me in, fixed the color, and gave me a great cut. Her prices are great and she made the tense process fun and relaxing. I highly recommend seeing her.

I was in today and got my hair done by designer Lauren. She is awesome!! I have thin and flat hair and I am very particular about my haircut (as i cannot take chance) she patiently listened to my requirements and gave a perfect cut. I am definately visiting again. I highly recommend this place.

I was unfortunate enough to have Nicole do my highlights. She was very rude and rough on my hair. The highlights were not good but they were expensive. I have found a great salon called Greenline. They are nice and do a fantastic job. Wolf NEVER go back to pure concepts!

Had a wonderful experience here with Karren, super relaxing, pleasant conversation but not too much to disturb the relaxation. People actually noticed my skin looked fresh. If I would live nearby Id definitely become a regular.
