I am quite surprised by the negative reviews. I am a newly enrolled AAA member, and my fiancees battery totally died last night (and he needed his car to be running first thing in the morning). I contacted AAA. Within two minutes of ending my call, K&M called me to verify the information & informed me that the driver would call me when he was approximately 5 minutes away. True to their word, he did. Unfortunately, the cost (via AAA) for a battery was more expensive than we were willing to pay, as I knew that I got mine elsewhere on my own for $40 less. So the man from K&M, I know only as John L. (he has some tattoos on his neck, and two teardrops under his eye), said we could either try to jump it or tow it to my mechanics office for the mechanic to install a battery first thing in the morning. Well, I personally had an idea. I recently blew the motor of my VW Jetta, but had a brand new battery installed less than two months prior. My fiancee has a Mercury Mariner. I figured it was a long shot but asked John if he thought they would be compatable. Sure enough, everything looked like it would match (voltage, terminal locations, etc...) I asked him if he would assist in removing the battery from my Jetta and installing it into the Mariner. Sure enough, even though I highly doubt that doing such a thing is a part of his job with K&M & their relationship with AAA, he didnt hesitate for a second to at least try. He gladly (and very quickly) installed it for us and it worked. He was very polite, seemed to also appreciate that I am a female who isnt a vehicular idiot :-), and was just in general a friendly, helpful person. Im totally shocked by the negative reviews on here, as my experience was exceptionally good. John went above and beyond. So if anyone has had a negative experience, but want to try this company, I recommend requesting John L. I wish I knew his last name, but when I asked his name, he just said John. I mentioned that I wanted to put a good word in for him, and that if there were multiple Johns there, and he said that he was "John L." Give at least this guy a shot. He does a great job, and is willing to go above and beyond. (on a Friday night even!!)

I rented a Uhaul from these people. Good grief, what an ordeal. I reserved it for 10am, showed up at 10am, the truck was there but... the person there wasnt train in the uhaul stuff. The assured me if we waited a few minutes one of the tow drivers would help us. Fast forward 2 hours later - someone finally shows up and he doesnt know what the hell hes doing. We dont sign anything, he doesnt write the mileage down, he just hands us the keys. Now being 2 hours behind schedule, the stove and fridge I was trying to buy for the new house I was moving into both sold, and in the end I ended up paying over $100.00 more for the same appliances. Also had to drive all over NEO to find them, putting more miles on the truck and costing me more money. Finally, when i bring it back to drop it off, the guy sitting behind the desk says "just drop of the keys, I dont know how to do the Uhaul stuff." !#@%$%!!!! What?!! He wouldnt check the mileage, he wouldnt give us a total or a receipt... nothing. I dont even know how much Im going to be charged. Safe to say Im going to contest it on my credit card. Ive called Uhaul, and Ill be calling BBB and anyone else. This place sucked.

Horrible. Horrible. Service. Called said they be 45 min, 45 min past by I called back said they needed another 35min because they were stuck at another tow. I said ok to help them out I said I meet you in 45min for tow they said ok. Another 45min pass by no calls, no show. I call back was told guy on his way. Wait 35 min never showed. Called again claim guy was there I told them his was not. Was told he should be and they didnt know where he was at but could I give him few minutes they know he be pulling up wait 20 more min called back and canceled tow. Went with *Icon Towing* they said 20 min, they were there in 12min and was $25 cheaper. I suggest people use *Icon Towing* if you want the job done on time, friendly service, and reasonable prices. I will never use K&M Towing.

I was near Gordon Square after the Dia De Los Muertos festival last Saturday night with my daughter when I came back to find a flat tire. After attempting to change it myself I called my insurance roadside service. They sent out Brian from K & M and he arrived earlier than estimated. He got us right into his truck to stay warm and sign the paper work and was very friendly and funny. Instead of just towing the car, he took a look at the tire and discovered it had a locked lug nut on it. He changed it for me and I was on my way. That meant a lot considering I was in the city at night with my daughter. :)

Called K & M Towing to set up a tow for my car the following day. Individual I spoke with put me on hold five times throughout the call and then assured me that a driver would be at my house between 6:30am- 7:30am. I waited until 8:15am and called and was told they had no record or drivers available to get my car. The operator then told me to find another place. What a joke.

What a scam this place is. Very rude and unprofessional. Towed me from a spot i was in for 5 minutes and then towed 25 min. away. Was never told on the phone that they were cash only. Damaged my vehicle and stole money out of my vehicle. Total charged tow of $194 which reading some laws is not supposed to be over $150. Beware of the scam artists. Reporting to BBB

My truck broke down on 71 and the police officer that stopped gave me the phone number for K&M Towing. I called them and 15 minutes later they were here. I was surprised to see they had brand new trucks. I thought the old gay dude Bobby still owned the place with all his raggedy old trucks. Cheers to the new owners o) Im K & M Towing. Great rates too

If I could click no stars thats what they would get. I called at 12 noon to get emergency roadside asst to come tow my truck. Its now 5 and not only did no one ever call or show but after I called them 3 times they never even told me y they were late. Canceled the tow and will never do business with them again

Was told 45 minutes after an hour I called and they gave an excuse waited another hour called again and was told they be there shortly, another hour passed they call and say they are now on the way will be there in 15-20 took over 40. 4 hours waiting on the side of the road.

Rented a uhaul and never saved so much money on truck rental....all they charged me for is the day I used the truck No MILE FEES.....Im not sure if they just forgot or what but it was cool with me...I have had the towing service from my AAA card and never had a problem.
