I had the worst day. My kitchen sink backed up and then ran over and flooded the kitchen floor. I was getting kids off to school and when I came back inside I slammed my finger in the door, slashing wide open and breaking the bone! I had to go to the ER. When I came home I called Roto-Rooter and they sent out Tim "the farmer" the same day. He was so nice but said he couldnt do anything without the landlords permission. We could not locate him so Tim said he could shop vac the water out for me at no charge. During that process other things happened including a disagreement with the upstairs neighbor who didnt want to stop using her water. She called the police! Then the the landlord reached us through his friend since he had just had surgery that day! Tim was caught in the middle of all of this and still stayed professional. We got the ok to do the work! Tim came back the next morning with Nick and they did the job efficiently and quickly. Tim also explained what the Water Restoration people would be doing the next day as well. I felt so taken care of and confident that everything would be in the best working order. The third day the Water Restoration Team came out and carefully moved my things, threw out what needed to be discarded because the towels tried to clean up with had been sitting for 3days because I had an open fracture and couldnt risk getting an infection. They also explained everything to me and made me feel less worried about mold and bacteria in our home. At least two people traveled out to the landlords home which is almost 45 minutes away since he was incapacitated and couldnt come to the property. I havent experience such great customer service and professionalism on this level in quite some time and I want others to know that your company is very good at what you do. Thank you!

Did not have a service performed, so this is not in regard to RRs service. Speaking to their punctuality and salesmanship... We had a backed up bath tub. Was not completely blocked, but barely draining. Like an inch of water took overnight to drain. Tried doing it myself with a 25 ft 1/4" auger attached to drill. Not successful. Called RR to come out and look at it. Was given a 4 to 7pm window of arrival but no one showed up til 8pm. Dispatch even called at 6:50pm saying tech would arrive in 30 to 45 min but was still late. Upon arrival tech surveyed the scene and told me because of a fixture called a drum trap in my older plumbing there was no way to snake it. That it required a major plumbing replacement. Didnt even attempt to snake, but did spend an hour looking over the whole house and left me with a $1300 estimate. And suggested I get the same work done on 1st floor, at a 20% discount. So for a single clogged bathtub I was offered $2300 of work and no attempt at solving my singular problem. Now I dont know if because RR is a corporate entity it had to be approached this way. That the traps needed to be removed to bring things to code dictated the scope of work offered. Either way I feel I was being sold something I didnt absolutely need. I needed a problem solved and no attempt was made. I called a local competitor and the bath tub was snaked and had a kitchen sink fixture repaired for $80. Both with 1 yr warranty. Took all of 20 minutes total. Again I am sure the work of RR here in Cleveland is top notch. I have no reason to believe otherwise. But I simply feel I was trying to be taken advantage of with the lofty estimate for work.

I dont usualy write reviews, but this experience was such a surpise (wonderful) I have to tell someone. Water backed up in my basement. My first thoughts were, oh my God what am I going to do. How am I going to get this cleaned up and the drain unclogged. We had the same experience with my mothers home and we called roto rooter, so I called roto rooter. Shane 2401 came in to asset the situation. He was honest about what needed to be done. The Dan 180 came in on Wednesday to fix the problem, which he did professionally, explaing to me what he was doing, showing me the part he had to replace. Most important to me he cleaned up the mess he had to make. Little did I know, there was still another team of people who had to come in They came on Sunday about 10am the "water restoration team". They came in and really cleaned the basement. removed damaged and water logged items ie. carpet, I had a desk in the basement which was water damaged. When they left it all left with them. Now I still had another issue which had to be dealt my bathroom had some water damage. Dwayne 3 came in while the water restoration team was doing their thing and fix the bathroom issues. This is what I call teamwork everyone playing their positions and taking care of business. They also kept me in the loop with information explaining about the chemical being used in the basement. The air movers and dehumidifiers which they were leaving, to continue the drying process. By 2pm everybody was packed up and gone. Thanks

My experience with Roto-Rooter was amazing! I scheduled my appointment using their online form during my lunch break at work. It was really easy. I was able to pick a same day appointment and select a timeframe that was convenient for me; unlike other service companies that tell you a 4-6 hour timeframe which seemingly always end up being at the least convenient time… I got an email confirmation with my appointment details and even a 30 minute courtesy call from their customer service informing me my technician was on his way. My technician, Walter, was extremely polite and friendly upon arriving at my house (Seven Hills, Ohio). He quickly assessed the issue, explained the solution and drew up an estimate. I was shocked at how competitive the price was (I had gotten quotes from some other local plumbers) and that he could do the work right on the spot. They even honored a coupon I printed from their website! Within less than an hour, Walter had the issue resolved! They offered various forms of payments which is nice to have and even guaranteed their work for 6 months. I was even more impressed to find out that Walter had already worked a full shift and that he took my job last minute to help backfill with some delays. Dedication! Overall, my experience with Roto-Rooter was extremely pleasant. Convenient, great customer service, competitive prices, efficient solutions and a high level of professionalism all around. I would highly recommend using them for all your plumbing needs.

My Carbon Monoxide alarm went off Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and I called the fire dept to see the issue. They believed it was coming from the hot water tank. I called Roto-Rooter (the only place open that weekend) to have someone come out to check out the issue. The technician who arrived was very nice and friendly but his knowledge base and ability to explain the issue to me was of concern. He diagnosed the problem as possibly coming from the gas valve and recommended it get replaced or simply replace the whole unit. I was quoted $490 for the gas valve replacement and $1700 to replace the entire tank. I decided to get the gas valve replaced due to my home warranty company only covering $400 of the cost. Throughout the process I questioned whether or not replacing the gas valve would solve my carbon monoxide problem and the technician provided little help in explaining how he would be able to fix that problem. Although it was very helpful that Roto-Rooter was open Memorial Day weekend I feel like I would have been better off waiting and going with a trusted plumber instead of Roto-Rooter. I feel this way due to the poor knowledge base the technician had and ability to figure out the carbon monoxide problem and explain it to me. This problem is of big concern as it can affect the health of myself and my entire family.
