I was very happy with the outcome but not too happy about all the "hidden" charges. I specifically asked what the hourly rate was before they came out. I was told no hourly rate, they charge by the job. Well, I had 3 separate charges for one job. One of which he told me was "for my time" They took 30.00 off that fee but didnt let me use the coupon then, so no real rectification there. Also, took 5 days to complete the job which took all of 15 minutes to complete once he had the part. Leaving me to ponder "what about MY time without the shower?" All the charges were explained to me, but still feel I was way overcharged for this job. But, its fixed, saved me from a new shower unit, the workers were very professional and cleaned up after themselves and are definitely knowledgeable so no complaints there. Now to find a dry wall contractor because there is a hole in my ceiling, another cost for me. This problem occurred again for me less than 6 months later. However this time I felt the service was exceptional! I wasnt overcharged, they were fair about going a littler further in insure it didnt happen again. Marco and Josh fixed it in less than 24 hrs! Istill need to hire a drywaller to repair the whole in the ceiling but Im hopeful this problem is fixed once and for all.

Over priced Contacted Roto-Rooter because I saw so many ads. Thought they were reputable and fair. My mistake. I should have checked the reviews online. Problem: Clogged kitchen drain. Needed a snake to get in under the disposal. Should be a 15 mins job with the right tools. What happened: Called the Roto-Rooter 800 number. They were very polite but would not quote a price. Said the plumber will inspect and quote. That wasnt true. Because there was a price list for services. Plumber comes in on Fri afternoon. Takes a look and quotes $450 for the services. But will do it for $350 because he can give me a discount for cash dont trust Keith. Given that I have a party on Sat morning I decide to cough up the money. Ugh. I feel like I was robbed. I had seen the local plumber quote $125 for the same job. Keith does a good job. Then he says if you give us a good review then they will run a lottery and may refund your service fee. That is just wrong! I wonder how many people will write a good review hoping to win the lottery while misleading other customer! Anyway, I am kicking myself for not comparing their prices with other vendors. Unclogging a drain is not rocket science. It should not cost $350 bucks. Hope you dont make the mistake I made!

Service: Leak in water main shut-off valve, 1/15/2012 Technician: Joe, operator 3219 After comparison shopping, I called Roto-rooter as they didnt charge to have a technician travel to you and give an estimate. Joe, technician 3219, came out to my house to inspect, service, or replace a leaky water main shutoff. Joe gave me a reasonable estimate for the repair, and quoted me a lesser charge should he not be able to repair it and have to replace it or escalate the service. Joe attempted the repair without insisting that I have the city shut off the water to the house, (which a city rep had told me could take 2 weeks due to the service call backup) and succeeded, instructing me on how attempt to service it myself in the future. He was very polite, professional, and informative; he did not push for a most expensive replacement, and saved me a lot of time, money, and frustration having the water main shut off (and later turned back on) by the city. Joe accepted my $40 coupon from the Roto-Rooter site, and my leak was fixed for $57 out the door. Much less than most other companies charge to even have a technician arrive at your door. I highly recommend Joe and Roto-Rooter for any plumbing work you need done.

When I have plumbing and septic issues there is only one man for the job, Orlando! Bless his heart the first time he came to our home it was still freezing outside with a bit of snow on the ground late February. Our septic had backed up due to clog in the line requiring the line to be hydro flushed, but not until I had the tank emptied. It was a nasty job, but through it all Orlando smiled and cleaned the line. After he ran a camera through to see if there were other issues, good think too because a 5 foot section had collapsed and was no longer connected to the septic tank causing the solid sewage to stay in the line while liquid drained through. That day ran close to $800.00, but it was well worth it. Fast forward to May 27; when I finally had the $1,950.00 to fix the pipe, it is 87 degrees outside, full sun, and light breeze. Orlando came in on his day off before the holiday weekend to get the job done. I cannot say thank you enough. If you want peace of mind knowing the job is done right the first time and every time, then ask for Orlando a plumber with integrity.

Was in the hospital and nursing home for two months doing rehab for a broken back. Needed to up date our master bath toilet to comfort height and investigate a continual clog that had been occurring.. Orlando from the Avon office came out And found that apparently when the house was built the contractors who put in the ceramic tile poured the excess grout down the drain and blocked 2/3 of the drain. This was uncovered through a camera and then cutting out the grout. Problem solved! I had plumbers on two different occasions out for the same thing nothing was fixed. Orlando came in put on foot covers and proceeded with the job. Everything neat, orderly and clean. Which was not the case with the other company. Outstanding Job. Had another toilet installed today 10/22

On 4th of July at 7:30pm my sewage line backed up into our basement creating quite a mess (large wad of TP), leaving us without the use of toilets or showers. We have four young kids, so not being able to use toilets or showers was an emergency. After calling several companies with "24 hour" service that all said they had no one avail to send out. We called Roto Rooter and the technician Kyeth came out approx 90 minutes later. Kyeth was very nice, professional and fast. Kyeth and Roto Rooter both get an A+ in my book. Pricing was higher then most places, but it was a holiday and you get what you pay for. I am just happy that Roto Rooter was really a 24 hour company as advertised. I will def be passing your name along to anyone in need. Thanks again.

my mother had a major sewer back-up, with standing water and sewage in her basement. this happened to be 3 days before Christmas. we called 5 plumbing companies, with Roto-Rooter being the only one to respond. they were able to send out a plumber within 90 minutes. more extensive work needs to be done, but after a few hours, they had the drains running (slowly) so we could at least use the water. they will be coming back on Tuesday to excavate and do all the line repairs, with a very fair estimate for everything that needs to be done. the plumber was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable throughout his visit on Thursday. we are very pleased with the services of Roto-Rooter..
