Nightmare Experience, Time to Move On - I hired Dunstan Plumbing to replace an old gas water heater with a new, electric one. This required a patch of my new, metal roof as the old water heater had a stack which was no longer necessary. I had to leave town shortly after and returned three months later to a failed roof patch and water damage inside my house. It had been a very wet summer, and had been raining nearly every day this year. Arent plumbers supposed to prevent water damage, not create it? It took a lot of aggravation on my part, multiple phone calls and ceaning up after them and painting and caulking their plywood patches over the better part of the weekend to get everything back to normal, and my house looking like a house instead of an unfinished garage after they were done. It took three visits for them to do their repair work, becaue they did not clean everything up the first time, and this was a few days before Hurricane Irene passed by and we were expecting weather from that. I still had to clean a plywood laundry shelf after they left the third time to get it ready for paint. They do not understand basic communication, or quality work. Even though I requested to speak to the owner he was not available even though I was having obvious problems, and he never called me. It is terrible for a homeowner to be victimized by the sloppy work of contractors, and receptionists who dont care that they are wasting your time by not calling back when they say they are going to. This was a nightmare experience, and its time to find a new, competent plumber who has decent customer service and good bedside manners. Robin Cheri

The company I work for has been using Dunstans since long before I ever started working here. I have since dealt with them myself on several occasions, and no matter how nasty or how difficult the jobs have been, every single person who has come out here has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. No matter what they have ALWAYS been extremely professional and polite and have always done the job right the first time. I have had them do jobs that would infuriate most of us, but none of it seemed to phase them. I cant say enough good things about this company and at this point I would not even think of using anyone else. Thank you guys for all you do. Keep up the good work.

Great customer service day or night. 24/7. I have used them during the day. I have used them during the night and on weekends. Always good service and most importantly always a fair price. At the time of my post they dont charge differing rates for emergency work which is amazing. Job 1. Toilet valve repair. Job 2. Leaking main leading to rental property. Weekend and they dug it up and had it fixed in two hours. Job 3. Removed toilet and snaked. Reinstalled toilet. I cannot list all the jobs my employer has used them for over the years but we still call them back when we need them at work.

Had an issue with water backing up from all the toilets. Called Dunstan and Son at 3pm (after calling a half dozen others that couldnt make it out till the next day) and they assured me that they could arrive the same day by 5pm. They did better than that...instead of being late like most companies, they arrived an hour early! Gentry was the on-call tech that fixed the issue. Very prompt, courteous, and professional. Very pleased with the overall experience and i will call them again when the need arises. Highly recommend this company!

These guys are slow. A job that would have taken me 3 days to do with a friend helping...has taken them over one week now and they still arent finished. Geez! Note to self... save some money and do it myself next time! Ridiculous! They dont even know how to clean up after themselves! Never Again! Ill either do it myself or hire someone else next time!

Four stars out of five because no one is perfect, especially myself. But I will say this, I have used Dunstan exclusively since 1981 and have no intentions to ever consider any other plumbing company. Morning, noon, night and dead middle of night, they have always come through for me.

This is one of the best plumbing companies weve ever dealt with. Weve been using them for years. What ever your issue they always have some one that comes to your house and fixes the problem, fairly and economically. Weve been very pleased with their service.
