I found American Moving on Angies list and they had over 400 outstanding reviews. I cant say enough good things about how easy they made everything for me. I spoke to Oscar over the phone and he took inventory of what I was moving and put together a quote. The final price was slightly more because they did have to make a second trip which took extra time. I will say they packed the truck like Tetris pros though. When the team arrived they didnt spend much time coming up with a game plan. They got right to work. Not only were they hard working all 3 were very friendly. As they unloaded everything was setup were and how I wanted it. Im talking beds. TV etc These guys were literally jogging back to the truck as they unloaded. They understand your paying good hard earned money for their time and they do NOT take advantage of that. I dont think they initially anticipated having to do a second trip and I know I would have been exhausted. But they kept the same pace he entire day. I highly recommend their services. I will never move myself again. It is well worth the money and they truly are professionals In What they do. Mike the lead and driver has 15 years of experience and it shows. You can tell they have been working together for years and arent some college kids making money through summer. They literally have their own language and telepathic powers and its amazing how easily they moved some big heavy items up and down stairs. They will treat your items like they were their own. Advice for those moving:-----Learn from my mistakes. Be sure to have EVERYTHING you can boxed this makes the move go faster and easier. A few items broke which was completely my fault from throwing things into open top bins last minute. -Be sure to label every box. Several boxes I didnt label and though this seems small its a pain in the you know what to have to do work such as move boxes around the house because of not planning properly. -Also be right there with them as they unload. They move quick and it helps them and you to direct. At time I was off on work calls etc and some items were placed in the wrong room. Completely my fault but word to the wise be there to direct them so your not stuck shifting boxes around after you move in. If you take my advice you could literally sit down and relax when they pull away. They will have everything where it needs to be setup and working.

Right from the first phone call to additional calls and emails with questions, and then confirmations of service, American Moving & Storage of Ohio was wonderful. Hubby and I are in our 50s and both of us have moved many, many times in our lives ,so were experienced with both moving ourselves with friends and with professional moving companies and, let me tell you, THIS company rocks! Their price was very reasonable and the two men sent out were clean, good natured, professional, and worked their butts off! On our last move we used Leaders and the movers dilly-dallied around the vast majority of the time, which left a bad taste in our mouths, so we wouldnt recommend or use them again. These guys, however, sincerely hustled, took good care of the furniture and boxes, asked appropriate questions when needed, and werent hesitant to move something in another place if I didnt like it where they originally put it. In addition, they also put down a blanket in the entryway to protect the carpet from their in/out trips loading and unloading. So very helpful and pleasant to work with. We will use this company again, without hesitation, and will recommend them to our friends. Excellent company and employees!

I never use a moving company before.This is the first time. We just bought our first house.from our 2 bedroom apt,we still have lots of small stuff and some basic furniture.I google and yelp Columbus moving company and find this one.It is great. I did not sleep well before moving because I worry it will be very hard and difficult.But they do great great jobs. Both guys are very very professional. They came to the apt 10 mins early. We have tons of boxes -more than we thought. They did fast!super fast. You can tell they really work very very hard. They have good tools to carry the boxes.I really appreciate them.Anyone in Columbus search for a moving company, choose them. They are great people.Thank you.-We move from Columbus to Lewis Center and its a local move.Price is very reasonable.We also leave some tip to them. I am not a super generous person to leave tip.sorry, not very rich...But for their work, I really feel I need to give them more tip as I can. They deserve more tips than restaurants or barber place. We will use them for next time and refer to anyone we know.

Long story short, when I moved in with my ex roommate, she did not tell me she had bed bugs, when I found out I made sure it was taken care of... The apartment had been bed bug free for over 6 months. This company did not ask if this had been a thing. And apparently it was a huge deal. Because they claimed to have found eggs, dumped my stuff just inside the door, trapping me in my own house, and walked out. They did not even give me a chance to explain. Then the manager called and scolded me for not telling them before (they did not ask), and I advised him that the bugs had been dead for months. He said he would call back in an hour. I called him an hour and a half later, and he said he had tried to call me then when I said that I did not get a call he yelled at me saying that I was calling him a liar. Then he said the owner would call me in an hour... Its only 20 minutes into that hour, but just thought everyone should know, you know before that they dont ask the questions required to do their job apparently, then blame you the customer for their incompetence.

What an amazing experience! Like most people, I HATE moving, but Jason and Paul made it painless. These two guys were awesome. I did a local move, and they quoted me for a price and time that were spot on. No hidden fees or anything. Also, they were quick and efficient but also took their time caring for my furniture. Its funny because my couch could not fit in the door of my new apt, but somehow these guys made it work. They could have easily just left and not have tried as hard as they did, but they stayed and tried every possibility without damaging anything. I am so appreciative, AND I wish I had more money to tip a little more than I did but unfortunately I am a broke college student (haha) so I tipped as much as I could. I can go on for days about my experience, but just know I will be recommending and using this company in the future. Outstanding job! Thanks, AMSO.

Jeff was very informative during my call for an estimate. He gave me a time that I thought was reasonable and I went ahead and booked it. The first day the movers were at my house and ready to work about 10 minutes early! They got started packing my stuff and what I thought would take 4 hours, these guys (Chris and Jason) knocked out in 3. The next day they came back handled the move with ease. They moved some of my bigger pieces including a piano, armoire and full length dresser. The entire time they kept a great demeanor and handled the move like pros! They moved our entire house (loading up at one house and unloading at the new one) with a 30 minute drive in 3.5 hours!! No dings or scratches or any issues at all! I cant recommend them highly enough! Save yourself the hassle of dealing with the other guys and use American Moving and Storage. I know I sure will!
