If you have a choice, if you have an alternative, if you can help it, by all means avoid this shop. They will cheat you, and you will never know you were cheated. I went there because of an issue I was having with one of my windows, which was stuck for some reason. Everyone I met when I was there was quite nice and courteous. The gentleman who looked at my car advised that, though he could lift the stuck window for $79, the real issue was with my window regulator which needed to be replaced for a fee in the neighborhood of $390. Having read the reviews here and elsewhere, I figured I was speaking to a professional and readily agreed to do and pay whatever was necessary. They didnt have the regulator in store, so the gentleman provisionally lifted and closed the stuck window ($79) and -- here is the FRAUD -- he taped up the base of the window and the interior window controls and told me NOT to touch them until I came back for the regulator replacement. Should I touch the controls, the gentleman warned, the window would come down and I wouldnt be able to get it up. This, it turns out, was not true. He had fixed the problem; I didnt need the regulator. He simply wanted me to come back for the more costly procedure. And I would have never known had my son not fiddled with the window controls. How is that for a swindle! Granted, there could be a perfectly logical way to explain this seemingly fraudulent conduct. If not, perhaps the ungentemanly conduct of the gentleman who looked at my car is at variance with the policy of the shop. This all may very well be. But whats troubling is the indifference I was met with when I tried to lodge a complaint. The response I got was more a shrugg of the shoulders -- which often is a gesture symptomatic of systemic willful blindness.

I recently hit a poll which left a decent size dent in my passenger side door. Ive been shopping around at several different body shops over the pass few weeks. This shop was my third estimate. I have already decided that I will be self-paying for the damage. I am a young driver and claiming the damage on my insurance would sky rocket my insurance and I would certainly pay more over time. My deductible is $500 and the damage was going to cost me somewhere around $1,100 and $1,400 depending on the shop I picked. The woman inside asked for some general information. As soon as I told her I would be self paying, she insisted I use insurance. She spent the next several minutes, in a very rude tone, telling me why I am making the wrong decision. She was clearing talking down to me and unwilling to accept my decision. I almost left before getting the estimate because of the way she was treating me. I decided to stay and get the estimate, just to find that the man doing the estimate was no better. He spent almost the whole time he was inspecting the car, telling me that this was too much to pay out of pocket. The estimate ending up being around $1,300 which was lower than $1,400 (my first estimate) but higher than the $1,100 (my second estimate). Even if this estimate would have been lower, I most certainly will never use this shop. There are just as reputable shops in the Columbus area. In fact, the shop that gave my the $1,100 estimate was by far the nicest to me, is requiring 3 days versus 5 days AND has better customer reviews on Google and Yelp than McCombe. (As well as having a A+ BBB rating.) I would never recommend this shop to my worst enemy. All I ask is to be treated kindly when offering to be a customer and the opposite of that happened today.

Mary, the receptionist, has been so nice throughout this process. Shes been the one Ive been in constant communication until I was able to bring my car to the shop. The gentlemen who was with her, was very friendly as well. They were completely honest and generous in giving me advise on taking the next steps. My car was deemed totaled by the other drivers insurance, but I was sure that it was fixable. They both told me it wasnt worth putting all my money into it, and the SAFEST and most reliable measures was to get a new car. My friend referred me to this shop and I know why now. Thank you so much! I appreciate all of your help and honesty.

My wife needed some work done to the vehicle while I was overseas. I was very sketchy about sending her somewhere to get the vehicle fixed without my presence; but Larry and the guys at McCombe got the job done hassle free. Also, the prices were unmatchable, these guys know how to make an honest living. If you care about your vehicle, your wallet, and want the best people for the job, then you will definitely go to McCombe Body Shop.

The people who work here are AMAZING. I was devastated because a minor dent was preventing me from opening my door. While other places were quoting me thousands of dollars, Chad at McCombe was my knight and shining armor and had me back on the road in MINUTES. I would recommend this to all of my family and friends. In a world full of individuals with questionable character, Chad and the others at McCombe give me hope.
