My family and I book a cruise with Hilliard Travel and Cruise Quarters about once a year. We love working with Brenda and Kirk. While we typically have an idea of the cruise that we want to book, Brenda and Kirk have always had great recommendations. This year we booked a 5 day cruise on Carnival Victory for early October. This cruise consisted of 2 1/2 days at sea and 2 ports of call. The ship was slightly older (built in 2000) it was vibrant, colorful and buzzing with activity (exactly what you would expect with Carnival). This year we booked an interior room as it was easily the best bang for the buck (we paid $403). Our room was small (but there are no "big" rooms on a cruise ship, and you dont spend that much time in your room anyway. The room had all of the typical room ammenties, including a strange looking hair dryer attached to the wall in the bathroom that looked like it should have been on the Love Boat (in 1970). Our bathroom was fine, about the standard for cruise lines and very pink (Pepto Bismol color to be exact :) ) Our first port of call was Grand Turk. I LOVE Grand Turk. This is my second visit to this beautiful island. The ship docks very close to the beach. When you get off the ship and walk down the pier, most people go to the left. This of course would be because of the DJ, beach chairs and Margaritaville. My first visit to Grand Turk in 2006 my friends and I went to this side. It is very nice, but crowded. Margaritaville overlooks the beach and there is a large fresh water pool on the other side of Margaritaville with a swim up bar. This year I opted for more serenity and some snorkeling. When we got off the pier and went through the Dufry shop, we went to the left and walked through the newer NASA exhibit that honors our ex state Senator John Glenn (according to the plaques, John Glenns space capsule landed 20 miles off the coast of Grand Turk and his space capsule was recovered by the Grand Turk government. We kept walking past the exhibit down to a area of beautiful palm trees and a fenced in area. We claimed our chairs with our cruise ship beach towels and some cheap clamp clips I got at the dollar store and walked out to the beach and past the ferry pier to a place I like to refer to as the "Conch Shell Graveyard". This part of the beach is not very often visited, but if you want some amazing souveniers to take home, definitely visit this place. After selecting my beautiful 8 lb conch shell (and subsequently checking to make sure there was no animal inside...ALWAYS check or you will have an interesting trip home), we donned our snorkel gear. I think we snorkeled for about 4 hours until the tide changed and we had a hard time swimming back to the beach. We saw an array of fish that one typically only sees in aquariums. I highly recommend snorkeling here to anyone who wants to just try it out. Our second port of call, was Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. My cruise was the first ship to be in that part of the Dominican Republic in 30 years. We pulled into the dock in Amber Cove and it was breathtaking. We got off the ship around 9 am and walked in the new "compound" that Carnival spent $80 million dollars to construct. It was very nice. It had waterfalls and shops and a large swimming pool (there isnt a beach that is directly associated or easily accessible by foot in Amber Cove). We walked around for a while and then booked a bus to Playa Dorado. Our trip was $25 and we booked it through Carnival. Playa Dorado was easily one of the MOST beautiful beaches I have ever been too. With our group we had access to the beach, the sun bathing four poster beds, chairs, umbrella and the sand volleyball courts. We were also given a free drink when we arrived. We just couldnt get in the water due to the seaweed being kicked up by Hurricane Joaquin. Overall, we had a great time and loved the ports of call.

I would like to recommend Hilliard Travel for all of your travel needs. My family has used Hilliard Travel for the past 16 years. We try to plan a cruise at least every other year. I usually work with Brenda and have found her to be very helpful in finding exactly what my family needs. She is able to recommend ships, excursions, and hotels to stay in before our cruise. I am a person that tends to have a lot of questions. I have found Brenda and Kirk to be very patient with all of my questions. You will find them to be very professional, experienced, and helpful. Make a new friend and plan a great trip. Give them a call today.

My husband I have used Travel & Cruise Quarters for many years. We initially contacted Brenda 9 years ago to get advise on a cruise. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She has booked 8 cruises for us as well as several all-inclusive resorts. Brenda and her husband Kurt are so helpful in choosing the "right" room for us on our cruises and just the "right" destination for the all-inclusive vacations. They are both so patient in the planning stages (I always have a thousand questions). Brenda and Kurt go out of their way to help clients and I trust their opinion and know they are looking out for us.

we have used Hilliard Cruise Quarters to help with multiple cruise bookings on at least 5 different cruise lines to many destinations for over 15 years. They have always been prompt in helping us to book a cruise and make suggestions to make our experiences even better. They obviously value their clients and make a special effort to make sure we are more than satisfied with our vacations! They recently were very helpful in suggesting trip insurance which we did have to use for the first time. It was very appreciated.

I was referred to Kirk and Brenda at Hilliard travel and cruise by a friend who also had a great experience. I have booked multiple trips through them to date. They are very knowledgeable about various destinations. They take all the hassle out of booking a trip and I have never had any issues with the trips they have booked. They are always accommodating and easy to get a hold of. I would definitely book through them again.

Walked in and it was a complete mess, papers scattered everywhere. There was a man who gave me a dirty look as I walked in as I was trying to ask him a simple question. I just walked out due to the messy presentation and how rude the guy was to me right as I walked in the door. Not a very welcoming place, very disappointed.

I have worked with Brenda for several cruises in the last few years and I have found that not only is she very knowledgable regarding cruises and associated land excursions, but is a wealth of general information on travel and general. I highly recommend that you give her and Kirk a try for your next trip.
