I brought my car in due to a check engine light being displayed on my dash in the middle of the week. Upon inspection of this the indicator warning was for a thermostat irrationality. Took the car to Midas on the corner of Glendale and Byrne in Toledo, OH to have the thermostat and gasket replaced along with an oil change. The car was brought in the morning and was due to be done within a couple of hours. Once I returned in the later afternoon after work to pick up the car the vehicle work was still not completed. The maintenance tech noted that the previous tech did not anticipate how long the work would take and got started on it late. Not only this, but I didnt even end up being able to retrieve my car that day! While apologetic, the maintenance tech noted and showed me how a bolt under the engine was being stubborn and was worried about working after hours in a rush and accidentally stripping the bolt. The maintenance tech ended up giving me a ride back to my place for the night and I had to figure out a ride into work the next morning. The vehicle was serviced and finished later the next day. Inconvenient and that was all I hoped it was for the fix - $170 later. However, several days later my car again had the check engine light come on. Going into the weekend on Saturday and working all day I chalked it up to a possible adjustment needed from the previous work. No biggie right? Ill take it in on Monday morning since the Midas location is closed on Sundays! Nope. By Sunday my car not only had a check engine light but also the car temperature indicator showed my vehicles engine overheating and then the oil pressure indicate showing an oil issue. I was able to take the car into the Midas location again on Monday and asked the counter tech to double check the previous work. I was worried that the previous work had jostled the components of my vehicle while trying to change out the thermostat. I received a call quoting another $180 of work for a water outlet/bleeder need. The oil indicator issue? The wiring had been detached and not connected properly in the vehicle and needed to be plugged back in appropriately. Only people moving wires to get to the thermostat would be the techs. How I suddenly had a water outlet component issue after the work previously done has me suspicious of the quality work done before. Especially when the vehicle had ZERO indications of this during the previous work. I firmly believe the techs working on my vehicle may have been trying their best but ultimately did not double check their work to assure the vehicle they were working on was returned in a better condition than originally given. Im not sure I would recommend having major repairs done at this location unless you have the ability/aptitude to double check the work done.

Shame on Midas. If I can rate no star I will definitely do that. I just had a very bad experience at Midas. I had a truck which was leaning, so I went to the Reynolds Midas, the mechanic checked the situation and told me there was something wrong with the torsion bar. They asked for 2.5+k to replace it. The manager also said there was no other ways to solve the problem. Its too much for me, so I did not ask them to replace it. Then, a few days later, I went to Glendale Midas, I told them the truck was leaning, the manager went to my truck and looked at it without lifting the truck and told me there were something wrong with the shocks, if I had the front shocks replaced, the truck would come back to normal, they asked me to pay almost 400 dollars to had them replaced, I thought its not much, I could afford them, so I agreed to let them replaced the front shocks. But, after that, the problem was not solved, the truck was still leaning, and they did not know why. I still paid the money and left. Then, nightmare began, the shocks kept going bad every a few days, I went back for warranty, they did replaced the broken shocks, each time they spent more than 3 hours to fix it. I could still bear it. Then, I came back the fifth time when the shocks got broken again, they changed the manager, the Reynolds Midas manager came to Glendale Midas, and told me they would not fix it for me again, because the shocks are going bad due to the torsion bar problem. If I agreed to ask them to replace the torsion bar, they would fix the shocks for free...How ridiculous! I went to another auto repair shop, the mechanic there adjusted the trucks leaning situation for free without replacing any bar... And they found out that, the shocks midas used on my truck were very cheap ones from auto zone and they did not even install them properly... I asked Midas to give my money back, they refused, the reason is I should replace the torsion bar, its all my fault... I give up, only about 400 dollars, its not worth the time I waste at Midas. I will never go there again, and my friends wont either. By the way, a friendly notice, next time, if your vehicle got something wrong, you may have your vehicle checked at different Midas, you may get different methods to solve one problem. lol. Midas, auto experts... Lmao!Shame on you!

went in to get a oil change and check on a wheel alignment...car recently started pulling to the passanger side and shaking a little when appling brake when going 40-50 mph ..was advised could be brakes even though they didnt even start the car or anything..told them no not today just check wheel alignment and oil change..they brought my car to the alignment bay to check the wheel alignment ..then brought my car drown to a closer bay to do the oil change..during the oil change ..the found a few things that needed attention. .tires need balance and got a piece of metal in 1 tire..tire was unable to be repaired. .plus the car is off alignment. .i told them go ahead and balance the tires and wheel alignment and finish the oil change. a little later watching the car get finished up noticed they never took my car back to get the wheel alignment bay to get done..when ringing up i asked the man if he did the wheel alignment already..he said yes....rang up and left ..there was no way they did the wheel alignment so i took my car to woodville midas...which is the midas i usually use and had them check my wheel alignment the very next day...told them what happen ...they told me the alignment is significantly off ..there is no way they preformed it yesterday!! so he called glendale to get some answers and they hung up on him!!! the very nice guys at woodville aligned my car!!! but i will never ever go back here or recommend any 1 to use them for anything. .charging people for services that were not performed ..horrible!!!

Good advice - keep away if you do not want to get ripped off. I was away from home when Change Oil indicator came on so my wife decided to go to nearest work shop. Her (our) ill luck it was Midas. She told them to change oil only but an hour later they called her with the list of deficiencies which allegedly were seroiusly threatening safe driving. My wife told them to go ahead with whatever was necessary for safety. At the end of the day car was ready together with the bill of 400+. Of course they changed oil but also overhauled A/C and changed brakes as well. The weird thing is that the brakes had been changed two months earlier (but they did not know that). When I came back home I took my car again to them as it was making terrible noise. Manager was surprised seeing previous service report and started foulling me and making up some "technical-wise" explanations. That mentioned noise came from brakes but it was not their fault and they sent me back to first workshop to get it done !!! It is obvious they simply cheated my wife being aware she was not an car expert. I decided to stop argueing with them and forget about them but my advise to other - try to find someone else to fix you car Tom
