Brought my car here for an oil change, and the plug was stripped when they put it back in. No proof that they stripped it, but it was not leaking before the oil change, and they certainly didnt notice the near-constant oil leak before giving it back to me. When I noticed the pool of oil my car was leaving everywhere, I took it back for them to inspect. The owner (?) stood under the car with me and watched the oil drip from the plug (about a drop per second) while denying that they had any responsibility; he said it was dripping oil from many places even though it was obvious where the leak was coming from. I then took it to my regular mechanic (where I should have gone in the first place) and they fixed it quickly, and told me the plug was the only worrisome leak. At the very least, Precision Tune should have noticed the stripped plug after the oil change and offered to sell me a new one, instead of sending me on the road losing enough oil to ruin my engine had I not been paying attention. They also could have owned up to the mistake instead of trying to tell me the plug just spontaneously started leaking immediately after the oil change, or that the leaks were from other parts of the engine. Upon talking to others about this place, Ive found many similar stories. I wont be back.

Completely unacceptable practice. I had come in to replace the rim and control arm effectively leaving it in their care. This is brand new car with less than 10k miles on it as well as on to the fact that I had inspected the whole vehicle before putting it in their possession. There were no damages on the car except for the rim and control arm. The parts were replaced yet when I got my car back, there were multiple dents on the roof of my car. I had confronted them about it and had talked to the owner, Mark, but he refused to acknowledge that damages were done under his care. He then proceeded to blame that leftover wax could have contributed as well as the fact that I myself had damaged the roof. Based on the damages, any one would have known if they had hit something hard enough to create the dents. Mark, the owner, then also proceeded to say that he had looked at a weeks worth of security footage showing the fact that it did not happen under their care but would not allow me to review the footage myself. This is not the kind of place that you should be taking your car. Bad business practices as well as poor customer care.

I liked how they patched my tire for $10. That was great. I do, however, do not like the fact that they left the oil cap off on my car engine, causing massive amounts of oil to leak all over my car and ultimately caused hundreds of dollars in damage. I figured they would fix it for free, but they said they wouldnt take any liabilities. I thought that was the worst of it. After politely telling me that they werent at fault, I politely asked how much it would cost. Ace told me it would cost $800-900. Being a paying college student applying for professional school all by my own support, this was daunting. I was luckily able to find Five Star Automotive who said they would do it for $550. In summary, Precision Tune Auto Care will be nice with the little costs, but will potential tweak your car to continue service with them then overcharge you by hundreds of dollars. They did this with my girlfriend as well, but with difference aspects of the car. This is unprofessional at its greatest.

This was my first visit to Precision Auto, W. Broad Street, Athens as I also got trapped with COUPON oil change for cheap. As usual they made a list of limitations with that coupon so Id to opt for higher price oil change. Im not sure whether it was a coincident or they damaged my car battery, Just a day after their service, car started starting problem. I took back to them, first thing there mechanic was so rude that he was literally crazy us as we were asking any free favor from him. the manager come up with inspection report and told me that Alternator is bad and need to be replaced for $327+tax. I said THANK YOU and took my car to Advanced Auto from where I purchased new battery a year ago. they found nothing wrong with Alternator but the battery was at fault. Advanced Auto replaced it for free as it was under warranty. NEVER EVER go to Precision Tune guys, they are CHEATERS. I HATE them HATE them HATE them

I decided to try this place for a brake job. After looking at it, they told me my serpentine belt also needed to be replaced, since it controls the air conditioner and other things and was going bad. So I told told them ok. Now the air in my car is super cold, and works better than almost any other car Ive been in. But as I drove my "fixed" car out of their lot, my super cold air conditioner was no longer working at all, it was only blowing warm air. I brought it back in, they said theyd look at it. They called me an hour later to tell me the air compressor was out and needed to be replaced, and it would cost $1200. There was no way I was going to trust them again, so I came to pick up my car, and they actually wanted me to pay them again just to figure out why the air conditioner was broken, even though they broke it.

I brought my car in to get the brake pads and rotors replaced on the front of the car. They told me the back pads should be done in the next 5k miles. A month later my brakes start squealing so I bring in the car and they tell me, even though its only been 1k miles, the back pads and rotors ($300) need to be replaced too. Another month passes and my brakes are squealing like crazy and I bring the car into another Precision location. They tell me this Athens location put the wrong brake pads on my car, which is why they are squealing...meaning the second time I brought my car in, the brakes did not need to fixed (or the rotors!) because the squealing was from the CHEAP BRAKES THEY PUT ON THE CAR!!!! SUch a rip off. They even have a nice lady at the front desk who makes you feel secure while theyre ripping you off.

The starter was giving me problems on my 2006 Jeep Commander so I called and got a quote for about $350. Mark says "bring it over lemme check it out" charged my lady $38 which was not initially stated. They gave her paperwork that says the battery was bad and needed replacement. We took the battery to the JEEP dealer b/c its under warranty, and they looked at us confused. The battery is fine voltage wise and cells are healthy. So why did you want us to buy a battery? A quick sale so we can come back next week and say we need the starter You didnt even check the starter, did you need $38 dollars to increase your sales for the month? WTH SMH Your fix was hey bring it back I will test the battery free of charge, dayum autozone will check a battery and a starter for free
