This is the first bad review I have ever written, and in this case it is richly deserved. In fact, one star is too many, because I got absolutely nothing from Ga Square Collision except run around and excuses. On Saturday, Dec. 19 I was run off the road in Athens, GA, about an hour from where I live. The damage to my 1985 300zx was all on the right side - 2 flat tires, one damaged wheel, fender was slightly creased and pushed back about 1/4 inch - not major, but certainly made it impossible to drive the vehicle 50 miles to home. I called the other drivers insurance company and they suggested I have it towed to Ga Square Collision. I followed up with Ga Square on Monday morning, they had no idea the car was even on their lot. I called back Wednesday and they found my car on their lot. I told them I would be self paying for the repairs since the other driver had changed his story. I asked Ga Square to give me 2 estimates, one just to get the car to the point I could drive it home and one where they fixed all damage. They said "No problem!". A few days later, after hearing nothing, I called them back. They said they werent sure how to get the car into the bay with 2 flat tires. I said "Surely you have cars with far more damage than mine that you work on all the time. Mine is derivable, just crank it and move in slowly to the bay". Again they said "No problem!". Fast forward a couple of days, again after hearing nothing, and they tell me they still havent looked at my car. I told them to please just estimate changing the 2 flat tires and replacing the damaged wheel as I need the car. Once again "No problem!". I called back after Christmas (after still hearing nothing) to check on their progress. There was none. I upped the ante and said "I will buy an OEM replacement wheel and have it shipped to your location. Once you get it just replace the 2 tires, please." Their answer was "Let me check to see if we can do that". I called back after the New Year holiday because, surprise, I still had not heard anything from them. At that point Im told they may need to bring in a forklift (!) to move my car to the bay. I again said "Its drivable. Drive it into the bay". Then they changed to "We really dont work on cars that old". Now, my car is 30 years old, a classic to be sure, but it is my daily driver. It is nice, but not a show car. I said "Wheel and tire replacement really hasnt changed since 1985 and thats all Im asking you to do. I just want to be able to drive it home, please. Ill get the fender fixed elsewhere" The tech said "Let me talk to the boss, he may let me do that." I called back on Jan. 12, it had now been 3 1/2 weeks that they had my vehicle. The tech said "Sorry, the best we can do is have it towed to a local tire shop". Really? This place calls itself a collision center, yet they will not even change 2 tires? I told them I would just bring a car trailer and come pick it up. So last weekend, a full month after they got the car, my friend and I packed up a car trailer with all manner of tools (since Ga Square said it couldnt be moved from where it sat). We got there and, after about 2 minutes of looking at the situation, I cranked the car, turned it around and backed it onto the trailer - flat tires and all. It took less than 10 minutes from the time we arrived until we left with the "immovable" car. To add insult to injury, the car had been parked under power lines the entire time and was covered in bird droppings. It now sits at a real collision center that is going to repair all the damage. To summarize, here are the major issues: 1. No communication. In 4 weeks I called them 8 times, they never called me (verified on phone logs) 2. Strung me along for 3.5 weeks then decided to do nothing 3. Couldnt figure out how to move a car that was easily derivable, even suggesting a forklift - really? A forklift? 4. Left the car to gather bird droppings for weeks Based on this experience, my advice to all is "Avoid Ga Square Collision, period"

Georgia Square Collision and GEICO were nothing short of stellar as they turned a pretty cruddy situation into an overall great experience. My wifes vehicle was backed into in a parking lot while she was at work and, of course, the culprit didnt leave a note; just a nice, big crater in the passenger side front bumper, a bow in the fender and door, and a broken piece of trim. This incident happened on a Wednesday. I made a call to GEICO (who has an adjuster on-site at GSC) the next day and she had us in that afternoon to drop the vehicle off and even had a rental waiting for me when I got there. Joseph, the GEICO adjuster, looked over everything with the GSC rep and even pointed out some damage that I had not noticed. He clearly knew exactly what he was looking for, which is great. GEICO didnt short-cut anything, which was a big surprise as I dreaded having to work through insurance for the repair (this was a first for us). I received a call the next day and was told the car should be ready the following Wednesday. Awesome. No sweat. Now to see if it actually worked that way. Low and behold, we get a call from Scott at GSC on TUESDAY letting us know the vehicle was ready. Very surprised to hear back a day early and even more surprised to get there and see the quality of the work - ABSOLUTELY BETTER THAN NEW! And this was on a metallic gray/gunmetal colored vehicle which is already difficult to blend correctly. That said, they did it, did it right, and got it done ahead of schedule. EXCELLENT job and couldnt be happier with the work. And for GEICO, Joseph also worked on the diminished value part of the claim for us to see what we could get back for the depreciation of the car after the accident. He called a couple of days later to let us know that, after reviewing everything, he could cut us a check for $400. Great news since our deductible was $500. All in all, a great service experience all around with both parties. If youre considering doing business with either one, dont hesitate. Two HUGE thumbs up!

Repairs to the accident area were done correctly, but the inside of my car had a few things wrong. First of all, dust was everywhere! I had to clean it two times in order to remove the dust. Georgia Square was made aware of the dust, yet never followed through on cleaning my car. Second of all, while working inside of my car, two areas were broken. The back plastic part of my drivers seat was broken to where it did not adhere to the cloth as well as the plastic area on the floor of the passengers side. When I made my concerns aware to Georgia Square, I was basically told that Georgia Square did not do this. After many phone calls/visits to Georgia Square and phone calls to the insurance company, finally I was able to bring it back to have the inside areas repaired. However, not surprisingly, the back plastic part of the drivers seat is still not fixed correctly. Today, I spoke with the repair person from Georgia Square and again was given the same rhetoric. It is my recommendation that no one take their car to Georgia Square Collision unless you want to deal with a headache like I have for the past 4 weeks. I suspect this headache has happened because Georgia Square is a preferred repair shop of the insurance company that I am dealing with. Therefore, they do not take as much care in fixing the car due to having to fix a car quickly as possible. *UPDATE: After contact from the owner on Tuesday 3/1/2016 and repairs today (3/3/2016), I can say that all of the issues have been resolved. Brad really went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied and apologized for the bad service that was previously rendered. The car was returned today very clean and everything was repaired correctly.
