I wish I would have read other reviews about this company before hiring them. They did not do an OK job let alone a good or great job. First of all the sales person--as sneaky sales people sometimes tend to do--did a site survey at our house. He verbally told us all our furniture would be included in the move rate but then removed a lot of them from the fine print. The movers--getting paid hourly--moved very slowly. Again they were only moving furniture not boxes as we moved those ourselves and took 4+ hours to move a 3 bedroom house. Moved very slowly a lot of chit chatting and whenever we asked questions, their responses were very snarky. When we arrived at our new house they refused to move certain furniture into certain rooms. Complained about how heavy items were (Im sorry arent you working for a moving company?!?!) and made several comments about how the sales people over promise so they under deliver. When I spoke with the customer service rep and manager I was told it was my fault for not calling and complaining during the move (even though they called the depot and the rep said she would call discuss my concerns the next day). Super unprofessional. A personal friend of mine had to move 2 large items (by himself) because they refused to (a crew of 3 people). They also told me the move took so long because most of my items were large furniture (as agreed in my quote) and they needed 2 people to move the items but only had 3 people so most of the time 1 person was on the truck waiting for another person to get finished with the item they had. Call 2 men and a truck or some other company but certainly not Planes!

Planes has been very responsive to any request made and handled issues with the sense of urgency I expected. My issues mostly all stem from an inaccurate initial estimate. This resulted in not enough boxes coming, meaning packing was not done properly for all items (thankfully nearly zero damage occurred to those items), there was not enough space on the truck they sent, meaning there were items left behind of which multiple items were damaged, some intentionally to fit the shipping requirements for UPS. Zero damage happened at my origin home, where as there was multiple wall and floor damage to the destination home. The two shipments did not arrive together resulting in me having to take two days off of work to receive them. Overall everyone involved was very nice and easy to work with, and while there were a few problems I know with my experience now that the next time I move I will be much more proactive at a few key points (initial estimate and load/unload crew expectations.

As someone who moves every few years because of my employment, I can tell you that I have never had a worse experience than with this company. Be prepared to be charged for items you didnt need, have precious items completely destroyed and others "lost" with promises that theyll look around for them. Not to mention they will arrive late and will be spectacularly unprofessional. They will commit to reimbursing for damages then change their mind and refuse. Then theyll randomly reimburse you for a much less expensive item that is clearly not covered by insurance for reasons that are completely inexplicable. Do yourself a favor, use someone else to do your move.

I moved my stuff from California to Indiana. I just got out of the military and had some meal-ready-to-eat (MRE) packages inside some boxes. When they dropped my things off I didnt have a problem until the day after I started opening boxes and saw that someone had opened my MREs and ATE them! They left the trash in the box, there was half eaten food left also. This couldnt be rats because it was clearly a knife or scissor tear in the packages. Super disappointed would NOT reccomend!

Our crew, lead by Jim, were fast, efficient, courteous professionals. I also like the protective runners they used on the carpet and floors. It was nice to see them again in our new state and home as well. Robin, our move coordinator, answered all of my questions promptly. Susan, our representative, was also helpful and friendly making our decision to use Planes United Van Lines, an easy one. I highly recommend Planes.

Extremely patient, responsible, respectful and helpful. They coordinated my move and explained every step in details and gave me options whenever they could. Kathy at Planes was such a pleasant person to deal with. She missed an email from me and was so apologetic that she offered to arrange delivery on a weekend to make up for it. Avoid this company. I paid almost $13K in moving expenses to Mayflower Movers, who outsourced to Planes Moving. Planes moving was unable to get my delivery to my new location in a timely manner. When their late delivery caused me additional personal expense, they refused to compensate us for expenses we incurred (hotel stay) due to their incompetence.

From the initial phone call to the delivery, everyone who helped was pleasant and provided clear communication. All items were delivered in great shape - nothing broken or missing. We will definitely be using Planes again for any future moves!

We had a great experience. Everyone was perfessional & extremely friendly. Our driver & move coordinator could not have been better. They handled the move like it was there own. Id give them a 4 1/2 star on our move. All of our position we carefully box or wrapped. Only some very minor bruses. Would highly recommend.

Had a great experience with Planes. Guys showed up on time, worked hard, treated contents as if they were moving into their own home. Very pleased with the overall move. Planes employees were professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. We had a glitch and delivery had to be delayed but Planes arranged storage and new delivery date. Even though a few things were broken I was fairly compensated.
