I was in a bind and I needed help immediately from a plumber. Im from out of town, and I was doing work in the area. I googled plumbers near me and Roto-rooter popped up. I gave them a call and the answering service gathered all my information and said someone would be out to me shortly. I received a courtesy call stating they where running a little behind, but would be to me soon. When the service tech showed up, I showed him my needs. We discussed a fair price and he proceeded with the work. During his repair, my boss called and added more to the list of repairs for him. He was happy to do the additional repairs for me. The service tech and his apprentice were very polite, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. During the repair, another gentleman showed up. I believe he was a safety inspector to review the work. He also was very polite, and very informative about the local codes, which helped me a lot. Ive never needed a plumber before, but I was very satisfied with my choice to call and use Roto-rooters service. Oddly enough I found out there was a local plumber almost right behind where I was working. I did a little price checking as an after the fact for me. They were slightly higher than your company, on all the repairs, and would not have been able to get to me for a day. Thanks for all your help

I called yesterday and they explained the process to me over the phone. I was told it was $36.95 to come out and then they would write a quote and if I agreed then it would just cost the quote amount. Chris and some one else showed up at my house. The first thing he said was how it has been a long day and they were tired. He didnt even go look at my upstairs tub before he told me it would cost $265.95 to fix the tub not draining. He walked into my kitchen and looked at the pipe and gave me that price. No work, no moving of anything: Just with his own two eyes. I told them to go ahead because I needed the problem fixed. Well guess what the problem is not fixed and now they want an additional $395 if I can cut open my ceiling for them and they can gain access to where the pipe bends. Chris helper seemed very uneducated as to what should be done as well. Oh and Chris didnt even write up any paperwork until they were done trying to fix an issue I feel he knew he could not easily fix in the first place. I really should not have paid them but Im not that kind of person. A refund and an apology would be nice.

I called the RotoRooter 24/7 help line Sunday night, a few weeks ago, to see if I could get a free estimate for a moderate leak in the basement. He told me I could. I was contacted the next day by a lady who said that Anthony would be contacting me to come out. Anthony did come out and was knowledgeable, professional, & very thorough with the inspection. He was the one bright spot in this customers experience. He had what may have been an apprentice with him who didnt really look like he knew what he was doing which didnt inspire my confidence. I was told the estimate cost $37 after being told by the call center estimates were free. Problem #1. The estimated price had to be calculated from some corporate matrix out in the truck and came to $1800 without treating potential mold or repairing the walls to be knocked out....Problem #2. Their competitor at Economy Drain gave a free estimate that included all of the plumbing, mold treatment and wall repair for $1300 and did a professional job to boot! RotoRooter Youngstown proved to be dishonest and overpriced.

We had a "lovely" experience with our basement filling up with raw sewage last night. The plumber who came out, Jim, was a pleasure to have to fix the problem. He was honest, answered all of my questions (and there were a lot), and explained everything he was doing at the time he was doing it. Him and my father-in-law talked like they were old friends (my father-in-law is also into doing his own plumbing with the equipment he has, so they talked plumbing talk while doing the job). The prices were actually considerably lower than what I had expected as I was told that plumbers are expensive. Not only did he fix the problem, he also cleaned up the problem and disinfected the basement when he was done. We have been living in our first house for less than a month now and are happy we were able to find a plumber that we can trust.

I purchased a gas dryer and when it was brought to my home, the deliveryman informed me that my gas line was no up to code and the he could not connect my dryer. I called Roto-Rooter and received same day service. Xavier and Scott showed up at my home within an hour and explained the type of gas line I needed a “dog pipe” and that it has to have a residue box. In addition, I had my water pipes re-routed to better service the washer and utility tub. They did an excellent job, my gas line to the dryer is up to “code.” All the work is safe and I have peace of mind. Also, Xavier and Scott were professional, informative and when they left, the job site was clean. Thank You Roto-Rooter!

Of all the different plumbers that I have had out to my home, Rotorooter sent me Chris Rivers to save the day. After he came out and saw how my basement keeps flooding, he not only unclogged my main line but even better...he helped me to get my whole basement cleaned and sanitized from top to bottom. Trash was all hauled away and it smells good for the first time in a long time. Chris had Cleanup crew there the same evening to do an assessment. The Cleanup crew came in the following day and worked all day to clean and sanitize my basement. It has never looked better since 2007 when I first bought the house. Amazing, thank you Chris Rivers and Rotorooter :)

My husband and father-in-law tried to change out our hot water heater themselves. Although my FIL is an experienced steam fitter.. turns out the tank we originally bought (without him) was incorrect and the 2nd tank had a defective control unit. After 12 hours of dickering around with it.. we finally called our local Roto-Rooter and Joey had a new.. third tank, with working control unit in place in a flash. Lesson learned.. call Roto-Rooter FIRST... no more home plumbing projects! Wasted so much time and money trying to save money by doing it ourselves.

We had an urgent plumbing issue on a Sunday evening, we called a few places and Roto-Rooter was the only company able to come out quickly. Our plumber (Aaron) was very knowledgeable and courteous. We needed to have our main line cleaned out from the house to the street and he was able to quickly go and get the equipment he needed and explained the whole process as he went. As much as we hated having to fork out a large sum of money unexpectedly, Roto-Rooter at least made sure we understood what we were paying for and gave us a pleasant experience.
