If I could give "zero" stars for this center, I would. This center is currently being investigated by the North Clackamas Childrens Welfare Department, if THAT isnt enough to keep you away, please read on. I received a personal phone call myself for a statement. My children only attended this last summer for a few months before I had to pull them out and relocate due to TERRIBLE staff here. They are Very rude to the parents...which makes me wonder how they treat the poor kiddos there while no one is watching. To boot...Ive been calling them for well over a week and a half now simply trying to get the way too expensive of a rate amount I paid while my children attended, in order to complete my taxes. I keep getting pushed off and being told the manager would call the next day...we are on day 10 of this and the lady on the phone, again, Very rude. The reason I initially sent my children here over summer last year was because their cousin went here and had seemed to like it okay. Needless to say, his mother also had to pull him out months back due to the staff and feeling her child was unsafe due to the way parents were being treated and spoken to, not to mention my nephew began insisting on wearing a diaper the last week of his attendance, because the teacher wasnt taking the kids to the bathroom as often as needed and he felt unsafe about peeing/pooping himself. Also, yes, they do call you away from your job Often for things very minor. Let kids be kids! If a kid has a bugger in their nose, it doesnt condone a parent missing work and needing to come pick them up. On top of this, they would bully teachers who were sick, into still working when trying to call in (AROUND OUR KIDS TO GET THEM SICK SO THAT IN TURN US AS PARENTS MISS WORK??!!) Please do yourself a favor and do NOT go through what we went through in the very short time we had our children. My nephew is the Sweetest and quietest little guy ever too...makes you wonder a bit? All around bad service and treatment. This is coming from a very strict mother myself personally, who is very open to if your child is acting out, you give them a time out, chores etc. to correct the behavior. Kids arent perfect, we all know this. This place is worse than a tantrum throwing child to deal with unfortunately. The staff is very friendly initially when you go to sign up, however, once they have you there for a few weeks they become curt and irrational behavioral wise, even if you pay your tuition etc. on time. On a positive note, I have heard the few NICE teachers that did work there branched off to open their own fyi, and I will definitely trust them with my children this summer, as my nephew is now with them and under their loving care. I will search their new daycares name and definitely refer anyone who requests it to them instead solely on my sister-in-laws trust and experience.

Im writing a review from the prospective of a person who has personally worked at this childcare center. This childcare facility cares more about profit than the children in care. Examples would include: The owner will exceed teacher to child ratio. Would refuse to call parents for hours when children had high fevers, lethargy, crying in discomfort and leaving them in classroom to expose other children. She prioritizes getting new clients over the needs of the children currently in care. This prevents children from progressing into age appropriate classrooms by filling openings that otherwise should go the the current children in care. There were many children in the infant room that needed to be moved into the 1s and 2s room that were held back, leaving older children in with the infants room. The spot that was open in the 1s and 2s room would go to the new client who child was in that age group in order to bring more money in. She treats her staff horribly, is very rude to customers. Their food program is supposed to be run according to the USDA Child Care Food Program. This was never the case, children were given insufficient amounts of food that left many of them still hungry. The particular foods that the children ate was not in the required food groups, an example, snack they were served a rice crispy treat, or on another day a baggie of animal crackers not even enough for 1 per child in class.. Food that was served was to keep her cost as low as possible and not in the best interest of the children. Teachers were bullied to still come into work even though they were sick with fevers, diarrhea ect.. Dont risk your childs health and well being bringing them to this facility.

Do NOT take your children here. They will call you at work to pick up your child for things like "Not listening" about 30 minutes after youve dropped them off. I have a high energy almost 3yr old and yes like most 2+yr olds they go through a phase of hitting, kicking, not listening, etc. This place is a joke. Some of the teachers are nice and seem caring (from my short interaction between them over the 1 month my child went there) but the owner is a real piece of work! Shes very unfriendly and extremely unprofessional, she will even start raising her voice in front of kids and other parents. They constantly lost childs things, taking weeks to find, never answers the phone when you call, no daily reports of potty training or positive interaction, ONLY negative, do yourself a favor and avoid this daycare!!

My daughter, who is now 5, has gone to this daycare center since she was 3 months old - I now have a 10 month old who has gone since he was 3 months old as well. I have nothing but wonderful things to say! They have been so accommodating with mine and my husbands work schedules, making sure we arent overpaying for care when our kids arent there. I would remind others reading these poor reviews that this is one person(s) perspective and Im willing to bet not the overwhelming majority. My kids are well cared for and as a mother thats all you could ever want when you dont have the option of staying home.

How sad the Owners daughter has to comment with a five star review. The long time staff is what really makes this place great, not the employers. I would not take my child here, coming from the perspective of a past employee. If you are looking for low cost, this is it. Staff is (usually) super loving and amazing, but they are stressed and worked until exhaustion, and never heard. Meal time is low quality to save money, and the place needs a lot of work, as does the playground. Wonderful staff, terrible place.

My kids love CDS. They have been going there for over 3 years. The staff are loving and knowledgable about early education. My youngest went through the preschool program and is more than ready for kindergarten. The preschool/kindergarten teacher is amazing! It is so convienient to have my kids picked up at school for after school care. I never have to worry. I am glad that our kids have such a great program.

Clackamas day school is amazing as a parent who has worked at other day cares and my child not feeling welcome the staff at clackamas day school is awesome my daughter loves it I have had nothing but good vibes. From all the negativity about this place is from one over dramatic parent who has been rude to me before you cant believe anything they have said I love it at clackamas day very generous management
