***1/13/16 Edit - to 1 star*** (Due to deceptive reviews posted) Parents take note, the two reviewers defending this business are an employee (Chelsea Wellwood), and the owners sister, (Linda Reinhardt). I did attempt to resolve my concerns about the decline of quality with the owner, and I was met with defensiveness, ignored and brushed off. At one point when I wanted to have a private conversation with her she would not even get out of her recliner to speak with me in the office. I have since spoken to other staff who left before I took my kids out and learned of some terrible things going on there. Neighbors in the apartments have videos of kids being pushed and yelled at by staff. I personally observed a special needs child who needed a wheelchair, about age 5, being left in a baby walker by himself with his legs folded underneath him. I also observed a potty training child being yelled at and shamed by a staff member for having a poop accident in his underwear. I personally observed a little girl, about age 4 or 5, who escaped out the front door and into the parking lot when no one was paying attention. She was found and brought back inside by another parent. My son (at the time about 2 years old) was once left alone in the baby room with the door closed and lights off. No one noticed he was missing until I came to pick them up and said "where is he?" the teenage girls left in charge looked around the room and said "I dont know," then went looking for him. This daycare has had multiple complaints filed against them which you can obtain by contacting DSHS. ***8/31/15 Edit - to 3 stars from 5 stars*** Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this daycare as wholeheartedly as I did above. I was very happy with Small Wonders for quite a while, and then suddenly and inexplicably, the quality took a nosedive. The majority of the staff is now comprised of a revolving door of teenage girls who do not have enough experience or authority to watch so many children with any kind of discipline or order. Kids run around throwing dirt and sand, yelling, hitting, and biting. There are much better options in this area for the price. ***Original 2013 Review - 5 stars*** We are very happy with Small Wonders Daycare! It is a nice happy medium between in home daycare, which can be unreliable and/or lack accountability, and center daycare which can be impersonal and/or too profit motivated. Wanda is a wonderful woman and it is obvious she does daycare because she loves the children. The same can be said for all of the ladies that work for her. My one year old twins love to come here, which speaks volumes to me! I have never had any safety or cleanliness concerns, nor have I met any staff that are difficult to deal with. Quite the opposite, I have seen staff handle unreasonable parents with grace and a great attitude. I have also seen them deal very well with difficult children. I highly recommend this daycare center!

I have been around Small Wonders since its beginning. If you want a wonderful place to bring your child to, I highly recommend it. While Wanda puts a lot of effort into making sure she is following all of the required things necessary to please the licencor and the state, she, along with her employees, is also making sure to show lots of caring attention towards the children. It isnt unusual to walk in and find a child standing close by her because they like to hang out with her. I disagree with the review given by the mom with the twins. I happen to know those two children were really well cared for at the daycare and very well liked. Its too bad after all of the time they have been there that things couldnt have been brought to someones attention maybe it could have been worked out. Who knows? Bummer, since Small Wonders is a place that kids seem to be at home away from home. And what they learn there is incredible. They also do fun arts and crafts. I recommend trying it out. Families usually stay there for a long time.

I completely disagree with the parents below who gave Small Wonders a bad review! This place is awesome!! My son has been going to Small Wonders for 4 years and they have been consistently amazing. They take very good care of the children, are super understanding of not only how to take care of children, but of the love and individual educational path that each child takes and needs in order to grow. They know exactly what to expect at every age and how to communicate in a completely professional manner. Its a home away from home for my child, and honestly what more can a parent ask for! Kids are kids! Accidents happen of course, but the staff is amazing at making sure that everyone is as safe as possible. I highly recommend this place to any parent looking for a warm and nurturing environment for their child.

My 3 year old daughter attend this daycare and the director and staff atre WONDERFUL!!!! I have no idea what that other review is about saying that it is horrible. They bend over backwards to work with you as a parent, provide a quality of care for your child that is second to none, and I never ever had to worry about my child. Additionally, I had been trying to teach my daughter to count and learn her ABCs. After being at this daycare for 3 weeks she was counting to almost 20 and had her ABCs memorized, along with several nursery rhyme songs to boot! Even my mother noticed a big difference in everything my daughter was learning at this center. I would hghly highly recomend this center and you will not be disappointed :)

Wow, that Anna Bruen person sure seems like one disgruntled person. I decided to google her for fun and apparently she posts bad reviews everywhere. She even complained to Jack in the Box for having a back door open... Doesnt seem all that right to me. I personally say let the daycare speak for themselves. Go there and check it out, dont rely on one persons negative review. My sons been going there for 2 years and loves it. The ladies are amazing and he is always happy to see them. Now THAT speaks volumes to me considering he hates being left with anybody else! Again, this is an AWESOME daycare and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

I worked here. Many of the bad things parents have said are very true and people denying it are wrong because its the truth. When a kid isnt going to lay down do you put your legs over them so they cant move? No you dont and i saw that as very wrong. When the licensor came by to check everything out they would freak out and move chairs away from the fire exit and plenty more. I dont not think you should take your child here. There are much better places for them to be.

my son absolutely LOVES this place. he has always been super attached to me so it was a hassle leaving him to anyone else for daycare but whenever I drop him off at small wonders, he doesnt even say his goodbyes anymore! he gets totally excited to play with the other kids and hes great with all the care givers there as well. Ive never felt so comfortable with any day care before this one. I would definitely recommend !!!
