I LOVED the food. The two stars are for the service. I usually go for lunch, and the servers then are excellent. The restaurant was practically empty. We thought that was great. Maybe it is because we are not dinner regulars. Our area had no one. She came promptly and asked for drink orders and was going to come back with a sample for us, but she never came back. She never brought us a bread basket. She never came back to get our order. We waited and waited, and I kept looking for her as two other couples and a family filled in our section. I kept thinking that maybe she forgot about the sample; but I think she totally forgot about us. She did appear with many drinks and bread baskets for all the other tables who had arrived long after us. I saw her coming toward us with at least a bread basket, but she put the sample of the drink that I thought she had forgotten and turned her back to us to give the much later arriving couple a bread basket, salads, and wine when she had not even taken our order! I asked her, "Can we please order?" She almost acted surprised. I had to beg for the bread basket too. We overheard the manager in training talking to one of those couples who had come in long after us, and she said, "I like to talk to all the regulars." So I am thinking we are not regular enough to get service. When I finally complained to the hostess and eventually to the manager who asked us how our meal has been, they bent over backward and were quick about everything; but the waitress never apologized and never gave an explanation for why she ignored us. The manager was very nice. He took off things from our meal charges, he said, "She obviously messed up," but I am still sitting at home wondering why she disappeared. We have decided we need to ask for bread right away to get things rolling, clarify that indecision about a drink choice does not mean we do not want to order and give them our order while we have them because they may not come back. It was one of the strangest service experiences I have ever had. I have never had to beg so hard for everything. Kudos to the very nice manager and hostess. The waitress was also sweet-natured, but explanations are always helpful in these kinds of situations. I have to let it go and quit wondering.

The service was very bad. We saw that the waiter offered everyone seating in our section a basket of bread and olive oil. But she never offered it us or even cared to ask us whether we want it. When we told her about this, she said that we did not ask for the bread. We complained to the manager about the bad service. Her opinion was that it was just an error and the waiter has been working for two years. Because of our race, the manager just assumed that we are complaining about racial discremination and started explaining that many types people come to their restaurant and they would not disseminate. Anyway overall experience was very bad. Never going back to this restaurant. We usually take our company guests to this place, but now onwards I am not going to recommend this place.

for starters they sat us at a table and every couple minutes i would have to scoot my chair in for someone walking because there wasnt enough room, at all. They then served us bread that was cold, like it had just been pulled from the refrigerator. and i payed $11 for tortellini with Gorgonzola and i got the portion that a 7 year old would eat. it was under-seasoned and there was only 2 leafs of spinach. My husband got corkscrew pasta with chicken. the chicken was good and the pasta was cooked well but it was still a super small portion and we found 7 uncooked cloves of garlic in it. My waitress only refilled my water after i had to move it to the side of the table she was walking towards, as opposed to my husband getting 3 refills previously. Never coming back here again.

Ordered the Linuinie chicken piccala Menu read, Chicken sauted in garlic servd over lemon based olive oil with capers I was SO looking forward to this Chicken sauted in galic,..Garlic! It wasnt! it was just slices of TOUGH chicken mixed in with the linguine The sauce was ok, but with every bite when it came to tasting the chicken was bad! Of course like many other customers, i was hungrand looking very forward to getting this dish. Manager offered me a different dish, but again to wait for another dish, i gave my sincere thank you, but no It is VERY misleading to advertise this dish on their menu!!! We travel an hour to get to Pastinis every time we have to visit Corvalis and whats sad is that News travels and i hope they fix this misleading dish on their menu

I have a very severe allergic reaction to shellfish. I worry about eating out at any to most places because of their lack of assurance that I wont have a reaction and be hospitalized. The waitresses usually dont take me seriously. But last night I wanted to try Pastini and This restaurant made me feel so at ease. The waitress was very nice, knowledgeable, and prompt. She was concerned and assured me Id be safe eating at this establishment. She informed me about what they do in the kitchen to keep the food from being cross contaminated and also wrote that I have an allergy on the ticket so everyone was extra careful. I think its gong to become my new favorite place to go. I appreciated the great customer servise, all the smiles and the care. Thank you pastini.

We had big expectations yesterday, our first time in this place. 1) Portions for a 5 year old kid. Two leaves of spinach and four cubes of squash. 2) Plenty of space and a big group of people (talking loud) were sited next to us. This made our experience less pleasant. 3) No service water. 4) Flavor of the main dish was not really consistent. 5) the bread: we were three and we received a miserable portion of bread...cold! Thanks God we had olive oil and mixed it with pepper to make a dip. On the positive note: the desserts are really good (first three on the main menu). I would not come back to have dinner....just dessert.

Ive ate at a lot of restaurants. Last night i tried pastini pastaria for the second time now and im not sure why i returned. Both times it has been a very poor experience. There were hardly any customers inside yet they sat us all in the same section. Being a very tight restaurant It was VERY difficult to have a PRIVATE conversation. The quality of the food would be good.... if it was for a dog.The lack of flavor and small portions was really disappointing. I would recommend Carinos WAY before patstini pataria. Heck even Dominos pastas are better.

The wait staff was attentive and courteous but the food and drinks leave much to be desired. First the wine glasses were dirty. I felt squeamish about taking the first sip . My wife and I ordered chicken salads, Cesar and Artichoke, and both consisted mostly of a large mound of chewy romaine and rather tasteless chicken. We ordered them without croutons so that must have been the filler that was counted on to make these salads appetizing. Honestly, we had a better experience eating McDonalds Southwestern Salads at 1/4 the price.
