(Note, this review may update in the future once I start going to the place more often) Update 3: It looks like the photos I posted on here got removed with no explanation. Conspiracy much? Bumping my rating down to 1-stars. Please go to Planet Fitness or a different 24 Hour Fitness. Im looking at the one down in Beaverton and that place looks real nice. Update 2: After going to this particular gym for 2 weeks now, all I can say is save your money and go to a different gym or a different 24 Hour Fitness location. This place is filthy and outdated to the brim. The mens locker room is a nightmare every time I step a foot in it. Its like walking into a serial killers den. Theres ALWAYS trash laying around. Trash like newspaper, used bandaids, pills, clothes, books, and much more atrocities. Also, the toilets are always clogged up and disgusting to use. Theres always used toilet papers laying around on the floor and on the toilet itself (lots of poop and blood scattered everywhere too). Outside of the locker room, people almost never wipe down the gym equipments. This was something that I never seen happen at Planet Fitness. Update 1: Going to the gym after trial day: The place is old. The equipments are yellow stained with dust. The machines at Planet Fitness is 10x cleaner and more modern than the ones here. The scenery of the gym is colorless and depressing to look around. The locker room is outdated too and I sometimes feel uncomfortable to stay in. I say uncomfortable because right outside the locker room is a sign that warns people of thieves that steals belonging in lockers and cars. You wouldnt see something like this at Planet Fitness. Also, ALSO, there is no wi-fi. The water fountains are outdated as well (have fun standing around for a minute to fill up a single water bottle). People dont wipe down machines and trash cans and paper towels with sprayers are rare in this gym. Original Review: Ignore all of the past negative reviews of this location and listen to mine. I went inside today for the first time to have a tour around the place. I recently canceled my membership to Planet Fitness and I wanted to give 24 Hour Fitness a try. Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a lady at the front desk. She was a little unprofessional, but managed to point to the right direction on how to get a tour. Once a the tour was setup, a gentleman by the name Rick acted as my tour guide. He was very nice and explained everything very thoroughly with great real life examples. We went to each area of the gym and it seemed very nice. A lot more spacious than Planet Fitness. However, as I walked around more and more, it didnt have the home feeling that Planet Fitness had (this will likely change as I spend more time here). Something that Planet Fitness offers in terms of "home feeling" that 24 Hour Fitness doesnt have is the homey environment. Planet Fitness has their own branding, their own motto, and their own quotes that are displayed everywhere. They even do monthly free pizzas and bagels and they have two buckets of Tootsie Roll to grab on your way out of the gym! Meanwhile... 24 Hour Fitness gives you the corporate feeling upon stepping foot inside. Theres also the vague smell of the swimming pool too. Okay, I sort of gotten off track in that last paragraph, lets start where we left off at. Once the tour was done, Rick started to ask me about what membership I wanted and etc. He was very nice and helpful, I like that staff members like him. Rick gave me a 5-day trial to let me decide and Ive already decided that Ill be getting a 2-year membership to 24 Hour Fitness because of their great service and the things they offer. Ill be sure to update this review in the near future once I start coming here more often. This review is just my first impression of what the gym looks and feels like so far. If anybody has a question about the gym at this specific location, contact them and Im sure theyd be happy to help.

This gym is generally dirty smelly and the basketball ball court is badly maintained. Its like playing ball on a ice skating rink. THE WORST THING OF ALL: I was a member there since 2001. I started to do off and on membership because of back problems. During one of these off periods THEY messed up and didnt process my cancellation. I never stepped foot in the gym and they continued to charge me. So they decided to not give me a refund claiming that my cancellation wasnt in their computer. No craap it wasnt in the computer because they messed up. They could have researched and looked at my history to help support my case but they chose not to. Any business that feels like that they should keep money that they didnt earn is a slimeball company.

I only had the membership for 1 week and tried to cancel it, and I never saw such change of personalites. Rude and unco-operative. Wanted to talk me down to something cheeper just to keep me, and my issue was, I am unable to use the services due to my doctors orders. Plus an up coming surgery that will keep me away from the need of the gyms services all together. NEVER did I ever see such rude management. I will have to turn this matter over to pre-paid legal services. However, what do those without such services do to rid themselves of a transaction that was only purchased a week or two? I only rate this one star to get this posted. Hope others take notice.

Possibly the most disappointing location outside Portland. Its extremely small for the number of people trying to rush the doors at 6pm for classes and evening workouts and the membership staff are rude. We went in with a pass and were pressured to sign up. When I explained wed checked the location out several years prior and wanted to make sure it would suit before signing up he got very aggressive and tried to charge me to use my 3 day pass. I never tried the classes, the location was that unpleasant. Ive since signed up after visiting another location and drive the extra distance for a better club (I live only a few minutes from this location)

I now have a bacterial infection in my left foot from the filthy conditions at this club ; no janitor showed up twice last week and germ-filled towels, bandages, personal items littered the floors, sauna, whirlpool and pool areas; the sauna drain was so clogged that the janitor who showed up on the third day showed me how slowly the drain went down and informed me that he had had to clean up urine in the sauna; I have complained about these dangerous conditions to the front desk and maintenance without result; this is a place where an infection is a highly likely outcome; beware!

Terrible management practices regarding cancelling of contracts. we cancelled our membership only to find that they had labeled it "frozen." 6 months later we have reoccurring charges posted to our account! When notifying Molly Huyck(the manager in Hillsboro) she refused to reimburse and hung up on me. Not only have they lost our family as patrons but we will now pass the word around as to their poor business management practices. When are businesses going to get that losing just one customer can equate to 100s. poor poor management training/structure.
