If you dont want to read a long review heres all you really need to know. Accurate Auto is a great shop. They are thorough, up front about costs, competitive in their pricing, very detailed in the explanation of what is required and why, and above all, HONEST! These are qualities that are hard to find in auto mechanics in this area. I highly recommend you bring your business to them. From oil changes to complex repairs they are my new go to shop! (If you want more details on my specific experience and how I arrived at this opinion feel free to read on..) I first encountered Accurate Auto when I called them late in the day to see if I could bring a car over for a pre-purchase inspection. They were able to accommodate my time sensitive request immediately. The level of detail and depth they went into during the review process was remarkable. The car, a 2008 Nissan Altima, from a used car lot just east of Accurate Auto has a bad reputation for selling crap cars so I really needed good advice. I was really impressed with how professional, courteous, and thorough the mechanic was in reviewing the car. He took the time to explain everything to me in language I could understand (Im the opposite of mechanically inclined). I ended up purchasing a different Altima that was much cheaper and had some issues that required attention. After my initial experience with Accurate Auto I decided I would give them my business again. Unfortunately the car required extensive repairs. There was an exhaust leak that required replacing one catalytic converter and welding a second one to keep CO from leaking into the cabin and an oil leak on the oil cooling unit. They could have told me I needed to replace the entire oil cooling unit, given how expensive that would have been Im sure they would have made money on the parts alone and of course there would have been higher labor costs, but instead they searched around and found a gasket kit that was less that 1/3 the cost of replacing the unit that sealed everything up and fixed the problem. The also managed to save me some coin on the cats by welding the crack instead of putting in a whole new part. The job was expensive, to be sure, but I did a lot of research, calling Nissan dealerships and other garages and got estimates above and on the mark of the cost Accurate Auto quoted. All in all they were very thorough, up front about all costs and required repairs, and very fast. They even offered a loaner car I ended up not needing and threw in a free oil change. And as a nice finishing touch they even installed my new license plates well after all the repairs were finished and didnt charge me anything to do it. It was a new front bumper so it was more than just turning a screw, the could easily charged me $25 to put them on, but thats not the kind of guys they are over at Accurate Auto. This was my first experience with them and I will certainly be returning for all my auto repair and maintenance needs. Gil at the front end is really great as well. I had a special circumstance when it came time to pay. Someone that lives out of state owed me money and agreed to pay me back by covering the repairs on a credit card. Gil was able to take the number over the phone and made an unusual payment process easy. I dont think another shop would have done that so easily. I really appreciated how well Gil handled that and how great he was in the phone calls he made to me explaining everything. I just cant say enough about this shop. Ive had lots of bad experiences in this area with mechanics, I cant express enough how much of a relief it is to have finally found a place I can trust. Thank you Accurate Auto!!!

I will never return to this shop again. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Heres the story: Took our 2002 VW Passat in as the check engine light came on and we failed DEQ. The shop manager Mark ran the diagnostics and informed us that the intake manifold gasket was leaking and needed to be replaced, between $600-$700 dollars. We waited a couple of weeks for financial reasons and then had the work done. When my wife picked up the car, it sounded terrible and the check engine light was still on. The shop manager Mark informed us that the check engine light would go off after driving the car for a little while, especially after some highway miles. OK, fine, seems weird but whatever. Fast forward one week, the car still sounds terrible and the check engine light is still on. We take the car back and inform them the car has sounded terrible since the work was done and the light was still on. They run the diagnostics and inform us that all 4 cylinders are misfiring and recommend a $475 engine cleaning. When my wife asked about other potential mechanical reasons for the misfiring and vacuum leak, the shop manager Mark told her to "get off the internet" because there was too much information out there. WHAT?!?! We refuse the work and decide to take it to another shop for a second opinion, so we find a reputable mechanic who works on foreign cars. Within 5 minutes of having the car, the shop mechanic shows my wife everything that was wrong. The engine cover and coolant reservoir hadnt even been reattached - they were just flopping around in the engine compartment. Another mount had been broken when they accessed the intake manifold and not replaced - so basically, lots of unattached parts flopping around in the engine. A hose clamp on the coolant reservoir was put on incorrectly, so between that and the lack of being re-attached, the hose was damaged and needed to be replaced. Oh, and they also discovered the REAL reason for both the original vacuum leak and the misfires - a broken pipe, which was obviously visible in the engine compartment. The leak could have been discovered easily with a smoke test, which the Internet teaches you how to perform, but Mark doesnt believe in the information contained on the internet, does he? So basically, Accurate Auto didnt find the cause of my engine troubles, recommended unnecessary work, performed that work shoddily, and then provided rude and obnoxious customer service. Lesson learned: 1. Find a reputable mechanic 2. Dont ever take your car to "Accurate" Auto 3. If you neglect to follow Point 2, at least make sure to pop your hood before leaving their driveway, to make sure nothing is broken and/or unattached under your hood.

I have been a regular customer since 2012 and have spent over $3,000 on my car and truck in that time. My first experience with them was stellar. Excellent customer service. Boy has that changed. Heres my story: My 05 Lincoln needed a oil pan gasket they originally quoted in the mid $800s. We dropped off the car prior to leaving on vacation for new years. We received a call that they wanted us to pay before leaving because the car would be done before we returned. What company asks for auto repairs to be paid in advance?! Then they told us it was actually going to be $1,000 because they forgot to add an oil change and alignment in the original quote. Simple bait and switch. Had I received the full quote initially I would have gone elsewhere as I had called other mechanics to compare rates. Everyone else would have been cheaper, but they already had the car and were leaving that day. We returned from vacation as planned, and I called to pay for the repairs and schedule pickup the car that evening. The car isnt finished!! In fact they hadnt even touched it! I was told the car would be finished the following day. I followed up mid-day the following day as discussed. I made payment in full as I was told the car would be completed in a few hours. On my way home from work I received a voicemail that the car wasnt completed and wouldnt be completed until the following day -- once again. They had the car for 8 days and waited until we returned from vacation to repair the car, charged us more than the initial quote, wanted us to pay upfront and made this a huge hassle! Unacceptable. I will not be returning.
