We hired Halvorson-Mason for an initial project to find the source of a leak in our house on the Oregon Coast. An earlier attempt was not successful when another contractor failed to find the actual source of the problem. As a second attempt, we hired Halvorson Mason/All-Pro Handymen and found them to be a pleasure to work with. They were thorough in finding the source of the leak and the extent of the associated damage. This ultimately resulted in replacement of all ocean-view windows in our great room and repair of structural damage to the exterior walls and floor below. Brian and his crew communicated every step of the way, and once we knew what we were facing, they worked with us to plan the corrective actions. With their long term experience building on the Oregon Coast, they were able to give us the advice needed to select the right materials and make the repair decisions suitable to make the house withstand the harsh coastal environment. When one of those decisions was to switch to high quality vinyl windows because of their good track record at the Coast (but not my design preference), Neil was able to custom build the interior window trim such that we maintained the look of gorgeous wood windows. More recently we embarked on a much larger remodel project that included a master bedroom/bathroom remodel, relocation of the main floor powder room, and creation of a new entry closet and a much-needed storage closet (the “bonus room”). Our experience with Halvorson-Mason again was a positive one. Since remodeling often uncovers “interesting” things about the original construction, they communicated with us constantly, made good practical and design suggestions and involved us in any problem solving decisions that came up. We again found that structural repairs were needed to correct water damage from the old bedroom window and to further strengthen the ocean-facing wall so as to better withstand the high winds and rain. We found them responsive to any questions or issues we had, and Brian regularly followed-up to make sure the work met our expectations. Brian and his crew made every effort to give us the master suite and reconfigured entry closets and powder room we envisioned. We are so pleased with the end result!! We will certainly call upon them for future projects.

My wife and I love the Orgon Coast and its unique lifestyle. We purchased a lot on the Oregon Coast and began to work with Brian Plechaty of Halvorson-Mason (HM) to build our dream house. We were impressed with the craftsmanship of the homes built by HM. We decided that HM would build our new home. We have always been interested in architecture and construction, so from the onset we intended on being very involved in the design of the house and the building process. Throughout the entire process Brian was always available to meet with us and discuss our ideas for our new home. He had many helpful suggestions for us in determining the style and size of house to build on our lot. Once construction began, our only major concern was building our new home from such a long distance, since we live 2,350 miles away in Illinois. However, this was not a problem. Brain communicated with us throughout the entire building process. He kept us informed, sent pictures and answered our frequent phone calls and questions within the same day. We visited the house several times during construction and were always impressed with the quality of the materials being used and the attention to detail and craftsmanship. We could not be happier with the home HM built for us. In addition, we have also used All-Pro Handymen, a Halvorson-Mason Brand of Service for routine projects around the house. After buying a duplex in Lincoln City we needed some remodel and a variety of repairs to the property. Halvorson-Mason was recommended to us. It was important that it be someone we could trust because we live in Alaska and would not be able to oversee the project. Brian from day one and was great about calling several times a week to keep us up to date as well as always sending photos of the progress of the job. There turned out to be some major problems with the house including zoning issues with the City. Brian not only had his crews address whatever was needed but went out of his way to help us with the City requirements and how to deal with them. Even when they were very busy, when the City came in with another requirement, he was able to bring in his crew on a weekend to complete the work. It has been great to have the quality of their work as well as the excellent customer service from him, his crews, and Mindy in their office. Highly recommend this company and their All-Pro Handymen Division.

Brian Plechaty at Halovorson-Mason Corp. just finished building our beach home in Gleneden Beach, OR. I cannot say enough good things about the entire process! From start to finish Brian and his team were on time, professional and an overall PLEASURE to work with! They completed the project just 4 weeks over schedule and that is only due to inclement weather this winter/spring season!! Brian was ALWAYS available to us 24-7 to answer any questions we had or to offer some much needed advice (it was our first build!). His 20+ years experience building homes has served him well and he DEFINITELY knows what he is doing. Our home is GORGEOUS and we will be hiring him in the future should we take on more properties in the Lincoln City area. TWO THUMBS UP!!

My wife and I have worked with Brian of Halvorson Mason the last year having a custom home built near the Oregon coast. It has been a very satisfying experience. The subcontractors used were top notch. The crew that works directly for Brian are exceptional. Their workmanship is excellent. We did a lot of homework so we pretty much knew what we wanted. But even so issues came up. There were some changes and a few things that weren’t quite what we wanted. These things were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Brian was always available for questions and kept us up to speed on what was going on. Halvorson Mason won’t be the lowest bidder, but as they say you get what you pay for. You will get a quality home built by a responsible contractor.
