After putting in an application and paying the $30 fee, I still have yet to here anything back from them after 2 months. They answer my phone calls every time, but always give me the same run-around that the owners havent made a decision, despite the fact that the apartment went off the market more than a month ago. Its frustrating when there is little to choose from in the Yachats area and they cant even dignify you with a simple yes/no. I would encourage anyone in the market to think twice about applying with this property management, or at least not expect too much in the way of a response. I hope you have better luck than me if you choose to go through them. Its not like you have much selection here on the coast, and I think they know that. ***update*** Upon seeing my review, Assurance Real Estate contacted me to let me know that they never even ran my application because there were more qualified candidates. They claim they attempted to send me my $30 fee back and that my address and phone number were incorrect. Thing is, they were somehow able to call me when they saw my review and I never gave them my phone number outside of my application. Keep in mind that I had called them many times in regards to my application and they assured me that I was at the top of the list and they were waiting on the owners approval (and this went on for well over a month). Additionally, they now claim that my application was not even screened, but I know for a fact that they called my previous landlords for a reference. Anyway, I told them that I would update my review when I got the check in the mail, so there you have it. Still 1 star and they managed to make themselves look even worse in the process...at least I got my $30 back.

DH - Yes, we want you to call. AR - I am Jann Pate from Assurance RES, responding to ARs post. She had three renters in her home through our company. The first people were not homeless prior. They allowed their granddaughter to move in. AR required quarterly interior inspections, which is extremely rare and difficult for renters. It was five months since my previous interior inspection. In those five months, they lost their cleaner/friend. The house was destroyed. It costs thousands. We went through the court process to get a judgement from them. They are paying $75 per month. It will take more than six years for this elderly couple to pay off this amount. The next renter was one of our Principal Brokers. She left owing money when I terminated our agreement with her. Who knew that a professional person would flake like she did? The third and final family spilled a red sugary drink on the two year old carpet and tried to get it out with bleach. She moved out. He did not pay rent their last month, despite saying that he would pay. He did not purchase a new living room carpet, despite saying that he would. Once again, a renter owes money to AR. I get why she is upset. I wish things had been different. Other people love us. We are friendly, we thoroughly credit, criminal and previous rental history before anyone can move in. This system did not work well for AR.

Hands down the most awful, unprofessional company Ive ever dealt with in my life. I signed a lease in early May for a rental they guaranteed would be ready to move in by June 3rd. June 1st, I called them to inquire about the status regarding my moving in. They said there was miscommunication within the company, and that the rental wouldnt be repaired/ready until mid July. Due to my circumstances & the coordinations I made based off the initial time frame they gave me, I had no choice but to move in anyhow. Im about to pay my 3rd month of rent ($1,500 by myself, after paying a $3,400 security deposit) and hardly anything has been repaired. There are dozens upon dozens of hazardous, uncleaned, inconvenient, and absolutely unnecessary problems Ive had to deal with CONSTANTLY since my arrival. I tried being understanding, patient, and lenient for the first few weeks. But now, Im so stressed out from this situation its literally nauseating. Dealing with these people (Kat, Jann, Maggie) has caused me extreme anxiety, discomfort, and overall disappointed. Do yourself a favor, and do NOT get involved with this company.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! I thought this company would be professional. I did not expect to be lied to and ignored. The ladies Jann and Kat did not hold themselves accountable for anything. They reassured me I was first on the list then the next day I saw the same rental I applied for posted on Craigslist. Jann accused me of being a criminal and later apologized for the misunderstanding of her direct accusations. She blamed the beauty of the American language of "you" vs other "Jamie Witts" Jann informed me the background check would take two weeks. I have never heard of such a thing! I was relieved when Jann finally texted me to come in the office to let me know I had been denied because they chose another applicant instead. They did give me my money back which tells me they never ran a background check. Also I ran 3 background checks from different databases and nothing. I truly believe that delay was an excuse. Everyone I talk to say they sound unprofessional and should look elsewhere.

I hired Assurance Real Estate Services to manage my rental property. This was a HUGE mistake that cost me thousands of dollars. Jann moved homeless (they were living in a motel) tenants into my house, and 3 years later, I replaced flooring in the entire house, re-painted the entire inside, and spent days cleaning the filth and trash that was left behind (including human feces). I asked Jann to do inspections several times, and she failed to complete them. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS BUSINESS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PROPERTY.

All you have to do is be straight up, and honest with them, they will work out a solution thats within their power to resolve any issues. I am a renter of an older house. I now understand the difference between a list of things I would like to have done, and the things that need to be addressed due to the well being of my family...Thanks to Kat! your a very good listener! she explained everything I need to know.

I simply attempted to find a website for this company in order to attain information about a home in Lincoln City in front of which I saw an Assurance sign. Apparently one has to call these folks as no real website can be found, and thus no information about their listings. I dont think I would want my home being represented in such a fashion. Not really professional.

Most horrible management company. I truly recommend you stay as far away from them as possible!!! They prey on weak and vulnerable owners and care nothing for the renters. My rent increase since "ASSurance Real Estate" has begun managing my home increased by $550 per MONTH. Get REAL!!! AWFUL people

I am currently renting from assurance real estate. I had an issue with the shower backing up from the kitchen sink. I called that next morning and they sent out a plumber the same day. I respect the managers they are all very kind and supportive. I give them two thumbs up!
