This company was a nightmare to work with. If youre looking for an electrician in Portland, dont choose Global Electric. Our condo building in the Pearl hired them to do some electric work when our rood was replaced, at the recommendation of our roofers. Bad decision! They were supposed to disconnect and then hook up various things again. To start with, they forgot to hook up my oven hood. Took me two weeks to get them back out here to fix it. But it gets worse. They unhooked my water heater for my hydronic heating system, which was suppose to be taken off the roof an replace with a new one in a utility closet in my condo. The latter would require a bunch of rewiring. So the one off the roof was taken down. And then Global Electric disappeared. I spent TWO MONTHS calling them regularly, asking them to please contact me and make an appointment to get my heater hooked up. The lady who answers the phone always said they were busy but would call me back, yet they never did. I told her every time how long Id been trying to reach them, and she didnt care. One time her response was: "Well, hell get to you when hes done. And if he doesnt have time, then he wont be able to get back to you." What kind of answer is that, when you have a half-completed job??? It was completely baffling... like I was in some kind of weird prank! Eventually in late september it started to get cold outside, and I still had NO HEATING. The electrician had already billed the job to our roofers, who had billed it to us (though we had no paid), but at this point I had no other choice but to call someone else. And of course most companies were booked 6+ weeks ahead. Which would leave me in the cold without any source of heat! Eventually I got a company called PDX Electric to finish the job for me. Only took them an hour or two. On top of abandoning me mid-project in a house without heat, with winter coming, Global Electric fixed some kind of junction box on the roof, but has not responded to our request to tell us which unit it belongs to, so the owner of that condo can pay. They keep sending us reminders to pay the bill, yet after SIX MONTHS of frequent attempts to contact Global Electric, weve still received no response. Avoid at all cost!!

Someone in this companys van almost ran down my husband, 10-year-old son, and my sons friend. These three were pedestrians crossing the street at an unmarked crosswalk, when the van rounded the corner and sped up towards them. My husband had to yell at the two 10-year-olds to jump back out of the way and the van never slowed down. I wouldnt give your business to anyone with such a lack of regard for human life.
