Horrible service, overpriced, and poor business practices. I had an electrician from BV Electric come out to do 2 projects - install a 220V outlet for my dryer and an outlet for my microwave. I was quoted 1 hour for the dryer project ($129) and 2 hours for the microwave ($258). An electrician came out and took 2 hours for the dryer (1 hour of that was driving around gathering parts) and decided to charge me $592 ($205 for parts - and after he left I looked it up and that outlet cost $35 and 20 of romex cost $12). He said he wasnt able to do the work for the microwave because it would take 6 hours so after using some scare tactics (saying its impossible to do this simply and needs to be done right), he quoted me $1500 for 6 hours of work and would come back later - so I chose to trust him and said ok. He came back a few days later and completed the project in 2 hours and still charged me $1500. So it was $1500 for 2 hours of works. I must be in the wrong business if I can charge clients $750/hour for simple electrical work. After I complained about the price, he said that if I went to him directly instead of the company that it wouldve been cheaper and tried to give me his phone number for future projects (no way would I ever use him). I will never use this company again. Avoid them at all costs! Sadly I cant read the"electricians name on the receipt so I cant let you know who to avoid. When I called the company to dispute the cost, they apologized and admit that it was wrong but so generously offered 10% off my next project with them. Never use this company.

The only reason that this is four instead of five stars is that I called Thursday and could not get help until the following Tuesday. But it was a three-day weekend and I totally understand why I had to wait. Rigo came this afternoon and fixed my closet light. He knew what the problem was right away and replaced a switch and some wiring. He was courteous and efficient and did an excellent job. This is the second time I have used BV Electic and my second review - they have not disappointed me and I will call them the next, and any, time I need electrical help. Thank you Rigo!
