Unbelievable service above and beyond! I manage a rental in Portland that used to be my permanent residence. I received a call from the tenants that the lights had gone out on the main floor. This had happened to me in the past and at that time it just needed a fuse. I had them give this a try and it would only get the lights on for about ten minutes and then they would go out again when they flipped the light switch in the bathroom upstairs. I called Advantage electric and explained that this would be a simple short in the bathroom. When Clayton got there and opened the attic door smoke started billowing out. There was an electrical fire because of some questionable electrical work from the previous owner. Clayton called in Bill (his boss) and they made sure the smoldering stopped and the house was safe. This ended up being a major electrical problem and an insurance claim which I do not have a lot of experience with. They were in constant contact with the insurance adjuster and even went to great lengths to make sure all of the damage would be covered. The insurance company was a challenge but they handled it with ease and grace. The tenants were very happy with the service and felt very comfortable with Clayton and Bill made this as enjoyable an experience as possible. They ended up rewiring most of the house to repair the damage and they even recommended competent professionals to do the patchwork afterwards. I have never been more impressed with a service company and go out of my way to recommend Advantage electric.

We are in the middle of a major remodel and our electrical work is extensive, both in replacing old wiring and redesigning lighting to fit the new house design. Our contractor introduced us to Advantage Electric. After meeting Brian, their senior electrician, and receiving his comprehensive bid, we hired Advantage and so happy we did. Brian has been excellent communicator, keeping us posted of his schedule and work progress. He takes the time to explain what he intends to do and the reasons why. He also offers alternative options we had not thought of, making our decision more effective and cost efficient. We have also had good communications with Judy, Advantage scheduler and bookkeeper. She is quick to respond to our emails and has spread our contract payment over the length of the work, helping to manage our cash flow. We highly recommend Advantage Electric if you have a large construction project. Obviously, your electrical contractor has to be someone you trust, have the expertise and experience to perform quality work, but most importantly this important subcontractor must have the professional integrity and follow through. We have this in Brian with the added benefit of a great sense of humor. As icing on the cake, we have appreciated the administrative support provided by Judy.

Ray Bachle come out to my home to diagnose a short circuit and do a repair. He found the issue quickly and was very good at communicating along the way so I'd know what I'd be paying. He offered to take pictures and email them to me along with a write up for my records. I needed the pics and write up so I could pursue reimbursement from the company that caused the short. After 4 days Ray didn't send the pics or write up. I emailed him and he said he would send them the next day. Next day, nothing. I asked him again and he finally told me he lost the pictures he took. When I asked him to at least send the write up, he stopped responding to my emails altogether. The repair itself was decent, but Rays follow through afterwards was terrible! UPDATE: 1.5 weeks later, Ray found the pics and sent them to me. Better late than never, Im glad he sent them! The report finally came too and is pretty good. I Upgraded the star rating. :)

I had an electrician from this company to my house to fix a problem. I had no power in half my house. They notified me of a 200.00 diagnosis fee and I accepted. They found the problem in 20 min minutes and offerd to check my electrical panel for loose connections at no additional charge. They found some loose connections and and a BURNT LUG IN MY PANEL. They showed me the problem and I realize that was why I would occasionally smell burning in my basement. I had them replace the panel in the coming days. I couldnt be happier with the work they preformed and they prevented a fire in my home. They even applied the 200 diagnosis fee toward the replacement of the panel. I rarely have this level of customer service from home repair companies. My neighbors have also had them do work and are have expressed the same satisfaction. I will definitely have them out for my next project. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK THANK YOU Drew.

I used Advantage Electric to repair some fairly complicated electrical problems in my 77 year old home. Clayton did a thorough inspection and explained in detail what was wrong and what it would take to fix the problem. Clayton and Brian consulted with each other about the work. The work was done very well and Brian even repaired the wall damage around the plugs. They were both very friendly, kind, hard working, and very patient with my 2 dogs who were underfoot a good deal of the time. I felt the price they charged was very reasonable. I highly recommend them for electrical work.

I asked for and was promised the services of an electrician to run low voltage wiring for home theater gear plus other electrical work. The idiot who showed up (after getting lost 3 times) said they didnt do low voltage work because they are "qualified electricians" and that I should go to Best Buy, or somebody like that. I reminded him that Advantage had done low voltage wiring work for my son in Portland this summer. He said he would check and get back to me. Predictably I have heard nothing further. Recommendation: dont use these people.

This is the 3rd time I have used Advantage Electric and every time they have far exceeded my expectations. I just had them replace my electrical panel. They were on time, explained everything they were doing, always were able to answer my questions and cleaned up after themselves. They were also dog friendly! I really appreciate them looking over my house electrical system. I got great electrical work and an understanding how the electrical in my house works. I will definitely use them again.

I had Lee come out and replace a power panel and the electrical meter and the wiring to both in a older house and bought everything up to code. Installed a hot tub circuit. He showed up on time, cleaned the area up after each day. Answered all my questions. Affable and clean. The best part of Advantage Electric was the price quoted was what the final bill was, even with some unexpected details. I would HIGHLY recommend Lee, and Advantage Electric. C
