We were in desperate need for help in installing our new ceiling fan and a couple of wall sconces before our house warming party. Our ceilings are 18 feet high and this created a challenge for many other companies, but not West Side. We did as everyone does, we looked around for different quotes and estimates and we were quoted at really high rates with other companies, in the $600 range. There was no way we could not swing those fees. We called to get estimates from West Side and their rates were better than their competitors and fairly reasonable. They had the equipment to reach our high ceilings, which other locations required renting, which leads to more fees. We settled on scheduling an appointment for after our party, but we asked to please place our name on a waiting list for an earlier appointment in case someone cancels. Low and behold we got a phone call about 20 minutes later and said someone can come over right now. We said perfect! Jeff arrived and assessed the situation and said, "Lets do this". Honestly, he was in and out in a little over an hour. He didnt mess around he got straight to work. He was kind, courteous, professional, efficient and speedy. He did such a wonderful job and we will definitely use West Sides service again. Thank You! West Side has saved our House Warming Party, well, at least added to the enjoyment!

In selling my house, it was inspected and the (non-electrician) inspector had some questions about some electrical work. The buyer asked for an electrician to come out to reivew and bid on the inspectors comments. Westside came out and provided a bid for work they said needed to be done. Then, later, they sent out an electrician to do the work. Problem was, in following the electrician around, none of the work that the earlier electrician bid on, existed. Thus, there was no doorbell wire that had to be disconnected, there was nothing out of code in the electrical box, and my house was already grounded (and the guy dug a second ground wire from my house - he said it was probably the most grounded house in PDX). And, despite the fact that none of the work existed to be done, I still had to pay them! I think, in terms of work for sellers/buyers, theyre making up stuff to do! I felt ripped off and would not use again!

After driving around town for almost three hours to find a specific mounting bracket that the electrician told me he needed to hang my lamps after I told him everything that was used to hang them the last time was in the box, I returned annoyed and sweating to find he was hanging the third and final light sans the mounting brackets he had to have! Apparently my time is worth nothing, and he did not feel the need to phone me and let me know he didnt actually need the parts- as I told him he didnt at the get go. Do you think they will deduct those three hours off the labour bill?

West Side Electric saved our Thanksgiving Day... I went to change the bulb in our double oven (simple enough right...wrong) After changing the bulb I went to plug the stove back into the outlet and pooof. Electical arc and we were done for. I called West Side in a panic they got an electrician over to us right away. He replaced the 220v outlet and even went so far as to replace the cord from the stove which actually caused the short. With the wink of an eye he was off to the next appointment. Thank you West Side for saving our Thanksgiving.. You guys truly Saved the Day!!

After receiving several bids from other electrical installers for my business needs, I remembered WSE was in my neighborhood. Their bid was much lower than any of the others so I hired them. I was concerned that because their price was so reasonable, I may not be happy with the work, however they did an excellent job, got it done quickly, and were very polite and a pleasure to work with. I highly endorse WSE.

Estimator was fantastic upon appointment. I was promised a written estimate that would take less than 20 minutes. 2 weeks later, I am unable to get any response from this company. No estimate was ever sent. No return calls. Needless to say, my business will go elsewhere, and I will make sure others know that dealing with West Side is a waste of time.

Completely agree with the previous poster. You pay dearly for these guys and, to use the words of the electrical inspector that FAILED the work West Side performed, "I expected a lot better from West Side". On seeing the failed inspection, West Side sent me a quote for correcting their own problems. Bad, really bad. Not recommended.

We needed to upgrade our electrical panel and get an attic fan installed to help keep our bonus room cool in the summer months. I chose West Side because they had been voted Best Electricians in Nashville Scene. I liked that their owner is a Master electrician and doesnt cut corners. All worked out great and prices were fair.

Westside Electric has come out three times to the church where I pastor. Each time job has been done professionally, good protocols followed and analysis of the issues and each employee has been helpful and courteous. They are prompt and problems were resolved quickly so operations can continue with all building occupants.

I called two other electricians two weeks ago. Neither returned my call. Today I called Westside, they answered the phone and made an appointment. Their technician showed up at the designated time and fixed our issues. I will use them again in the future.

I was billed $133 for troubleshooting a no power issue that was just a tripped GFCI + replacing with a regular outlet. 1.25 hours billed.
