Contacted a fellow by the name of Fran from a referral on Lower Merion Community Facebook posting. Instead of the fellow listed in the number I called showing up at my house, an estimator from Hynes Roofing showed up outside of the scheduled time we had for him to visit. He just showed up one morning where I found him on my gated property walking around instead of the scheduled appointment in the afternoon. Simple project: Install an interior french door, install a door in basement and take measurements and install exterior storm door. He said he could not provide estimate as he needed one of their expert carpenters to be there to go over details. Could I meet with him next week on Tuesday. He would be out but if he is early could I leave the back door open. I was here all day to meet them and they were no shows. Called the number on the card provided and left several messages over the course of two weeks with no return call back. Contacted the office to complain about the employee who clearly impersonated someone other than Hynes Roofing and advised of the no show, no return calls. She was a bit a gruff...then begged to come out and do the estimate herself. We scheduled for the next day, only for her assistant to call and say she wanted to come out earlier. When she got here she had no understanding of the basic door I wanted to install ( a simple french door to shut like a barn door structure with a bracket and roller. She kept asking me about me using a real barn door over and over. Then she said she would have to do research and would have the estimate in a week. Here we are three weeks later and again.. no estimate or call. How clever of her to rate herself 5 stars at the end of the list of other reviews on google. Absolutely the worst customer service. Would caution anyone wanting to work with them. 8/27 As a follow up, I note that Michelle Hines has indicated that I requested work that was something other than roofing. Note, Fran who was trolling the LM community website listed his contact info under a request by a member for a good "handy man service" and made a point not to put down the company he was with. Even when he came out the first time to my house, he made a mention of the "mast carpenters" he would bring back. It was not until he left his business card did I realize..It was Hynes Roofing. Note, I had not interest in ever going through a roofing company for interior work. Frankly, I have little if any interest in dealing with construction companies period especially one like Hynes as they are known for a terrible reputation. There was never an estimate provided thus why my follow up calls to this company. Never at any time despite Michelle Hynes response to my review did she ever contact me to let me know they were not interested. Furthermore, after researching the employees it was discovered many of them have felonies. Ask yourself.. do you want these employees in your house or around your house. Exactly.

ZERO for customer service and ZERO for customer satisfaction. HYNES Home Improvements, Inc. is NOT The Sign of Quality", but rather the sign of a migraine headache. Sign with HYNES if youre searching for a complete lack of common sense and common courtesy. In short, your time is not valued and they will finish the job on their own terms, regardless of the executed proposal you signed and/or your agreement with them. I held up my side of the agreement, I wrote the checks on time and made my home available around their work schedule. Unfortunately, they did not hold up their side of the agreement and took complete advantage of my situation. I wouldnt recommend HYNES services to any family member, friend, or client...or my worst enemy!

Hynes has been around for years, my parents used them and when I recently bought my first home it needed some TLC, from painting to a new roof. I called Hynes and explained to them that I was a new homeower and that my house needed some work, but I was not sure of what exactly it needed. The office staff was very friendly and scheduled an appointment for someone to come out and take a look within a day or two, when the men came out they were polite and answered all of my questions. Within a few days I recieved an estimate, that seemed fair. Choosing Hynes was an excellent choice my house looks like a new house with new stucco work, paint and a beautiful roof.

Hynes Home improvement cheated me out of $1500. They demanded a deposit under a contract for replacement of two exterior doors at my home in Haverford. I paid the $1500. They never did the work and have refused to refund the deposit. I got judgment from the local Magistrate Court for the $1500 plus costs. JOhn and Michelle Hynes will not satisfy the judgement. They are dis honest and scofflaws. Do not give them money or truist them.

Eh, I asked for a quote to build a rear patio / enclosed porch. I had to call repeatedly to get their attention. They finally scheduled an employee to look at the site in person, then didnt show up. Never provided the quote. Then months later provided a quote that was more than double what I ended up paying. Now they keep calling me asking if I still need the porch work done. Uh, no I dont.

Recently back in February 2016, Hynes Construction did a roof on my home. The men were very polite and Mr. Hynes was very helpful in explaining everything about the project. This was not the first time Hynes has done work on my house. Years before, I had the Hynes paint my home, and even then their workers were extremely productive and polite. They got the job done perfectly.

We looked at the work,gave here a written estimate for storm door as requested ,but the interior work I responded explaining that we were not able to do the interior work and appreciate the opportunity to provide estimate.
