IF YOU WISH TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF YOUR CAR, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PEP BOYS. I have had two disappointing experiences with this Pep Boys specifically, both within 2 weeks of each other. I should have learned my lesson the first time, but that realization is hindsight. The first time, I had a front wheel alignment done on my boyfriends car. When I went to pick it up, I noticed his passenger window was down. I turned the car on and the window would not go up. After waiting for 15 minutes for an associate to acknowledge us, the associate with "10 years experience" begrudgingly took the door panel off to see what the problem was. He saw that there was a mechanical issue with the window tract. He zipped through how to "fix it" myself and put the door panel back on, leaving the electrical wires unplugged. He suggested this so a passenger wouldn’t accidentally put the window down again. I asked if that would affect the other doors and windows. He assured me that everything else would work fine, only that particular window would be affected and he knew what he was doing because he had "10 years experience." Well when I got home and went to lock the doors, they wouldnt lock! I had to take the passenger door panel off myself and reconnect the wires for the car to lock! When asked why the window was put down in the first place, the reason was given that the windows had to be down to do the front wheel alignment. I do not know much about cars but that just sounds absurd. The second, MORE SERIOUS experience happened Tuesday August 12, 2014. I had been away for a few days and my father got my car maintenanced. He got me new tires and intended to get a front wheel alignment done. He was at this facility for over TWO HOURS before he inquired why the car was taking so long. At this time, they informed him it would be another hour before the front wheel alignment would be done so my father decided to take the car and bring it back another time. He parked it in our driveway. When I got home on Thursday August 14th, I noticed numerous white streaks running down the side of the car, directly under the driver side mirror. I assumed that someone had dumped a drink out of the window.... until I looked closer. When I got in my car I noticed there was a chunk of plastic missing from the drivers side mirror. I got out of the car and inspected more closely. I noticed this white substance in and around the mirror. The white substance was in the window tract and finger prints of the substance on my front window. Bottom line, my driver side mirror was knocked off and Pep Boys attempted to GLUE it back onto my car. There was no mention of such events to my father. And I believe he did not notice because when he left the glue had not dried, so it was clear. He also has bad eyesight and probably wasnt paying attention to the driver side mirror... Who would be!? The glue has dripped down the side of my vehicle and even under the undercarriage of the car. It is not even adhered all the way. I am beyond appalled and disgusted. Unfortunately, there is no way to prove this. But the car had only been to Pep Boys in Ardmore and otherwise in a driveway in a private area. The employees and Pep Boys employers should also be appalled and embarrassed.

By far the worst experience yet! We dropped off our truck on Wednesday afternoon for an inspection and reached out to them on Thursday morning to see if they had any updates. Anthony, (who is a sweetheart by the way) did not know anything he said Calvin knew the information and he did not come in until about 12pm. I understood and waited until 12. Called back, Anthony picked up and said Calvin would call me back. Never did. Waited another hour, called back Anthony put Calvin on the phone and Calvin said he would call me right back. NEVER DID. Friday morning, I got sweet old Anthony again and it was the same thing. I called about 4 times after that and kept getting put on hold. I had to send my boss over to actually see what was going on and they still had nothing. FINALLY, Calvin calls back and say well you guys can just pick up your truck. Im like sir we are there for an inspection if the truck failed the inspection, you should have called us with what needed to be fixed and how much and we never got that call EVER. My boss had to come over for Calvin the mechanic to call us? Really? They should have some type of system so that Anthony can be notified about what is the status with the cars so he can update customers, something! Honestly, the one star goes to Anthony for be patient with me. I will never come back to this place and do not recommend anyone else going to this Pep Boys again. Horrible service.

4 stars (instead of 5) only because it seemed like I was told Id get answers/calls "in an hour or so" because perhaps that is Pep Boys policy to say that. The positives: very polite and informative staff (Calvin helped me the most, though the others were pleasant). I appreciated being shown what was going on with my car. My Dad used to do the same with me well before I had any interest in how things work. I was extremely worried about the safety of my car, and I was assured theyd drive it around to make sure it was okay...and then refill the gas they used. I appreciate that so much. Kudos.

Dont bother. Brought my car for tire repair recently. Pretty simple. Nail hole I had plugged from the outside needed to be patched from the inside. Im not a newb and I know what I need. Tech tried to sell me a new tire. Also more routine upsells like I need an alignment. He then fails my inspection and lies on the form ("tire previously plugged from the inside") My car is pristine, and these guys are hacks. I write this from a Firestone waiting room while my tire is patched. The state ought to pull their certification.

I visited the service site today. Bad experience, waiting for 9 hours to for changing tires. My schedule has been messed up and it was extremely frustrating and annoying to talk with some of the workers there. They dont even wanna show any apologizing attitudes to me. I have to argue with these guys all the time to get the service you want. Too much hassle. I shouldnt have my vehicle served there. I dont know how other Pep Boys, but I will go to other places next time, not a Pep Boy.

My mother came in with a nail in her tire and was told that "the plug wont hold because there was only 4/32" of tread left." and that she needed new tires. This is, of course, total nonsense. Im glad my mother texted me or she would have gotten scammed into buying new tires. Took it elsewhere. Fixed. You saw an old lady in a nice car and thought you could scam her. Shame. Avoid this place or make sure you get a second opinion before giving them money.

I made schedule at 9am to change 3 bulbs only. When I got there, they told me the mechanician has not arrived. I got back again at 2pm. They friendly told me that I will be next service. But I was waiting for50 mins to do nothing while seeing the guy in charge of my service is wandering around. At last a friendly Latino helps me with it. Good front desk service but bad experience.
