Aamco- the experts in transmission repair (hah!). The only thing that they are truly experts at is taking your money. I brought the car to them because it was leaking transmission fluid and running poorly, and asked them to diagnose it. I also asked for them to do a state inspection while it was in the shop. I did not receive any calls with an estimate or to authorize any repairs, just to let me know about delays (it took 4 days) and when it was finished and I owed $1100. Once the car was home, it still leaked transmission fluid, so I took it back and was told that the transmission lines needed to be replaced and this is a $150 job, "no more than 2 bills tops" - a direct quote from John. Another three days it takes to fix and when I get there, I am presented with a bill for $327. I also noticed the car had grease marks on the headliner, steering wheel and gearshift after being worked on.This shop is not to be trusted. My advise, find somewhere else. Update: the transmission still leaks.

My truck got stuck in 2nd gear. I took it to the dealership where I got it and they told me I needed to replace the transmission.They gave me an estimate of 2400$. A coworker told me to call John at AAmco. They had taken care of his sons car.He towed it to his shop at no charge. He did the work for less then the dealership and in half the time. John made the entire experience as painless as possible. From no on, he is the only place we will take our cars.

What is so hard? Those guys took care of me. My car went from running like sh## to running like a champ. When John showed me the price, it was fair. My friend was treated good by them, and told me to have work done there. I am glad to have listened. Thanks AAMCO Colmar !
