I am very angry at this point about The Longacre Companys heating department. This company is expecting me to pay a big price to train their technician! We were asked to pay $770 for fixing a problem as simple as the cracked insulation over electrode Here is the story. In Nov and Dec last year, they came to my house 4 times. 1st they did an annual oil furnace tune-up/cleaning ($159 paid), then days later (warmer days didn’t turn on heat), heat was not on, the first tech came, changed the TRANSFORMER, (we paid $133.34); after that we had a couple of warmer days and the heat didnt come on. 5 days later, when I tried to turn heat on, furnace didnt come on, we called and the same tech came again, and this time he changed the OIL PUMP and nozzle, still couldnt make it run, then he thought its a problem with the ELECTRODE KIT (he spent 2 hours this time). He ordered the kit, and we waited almost 10 days to get them to come to the house again. This time, is a different tech. Once he opened the furnace and realized the part ordered was wrong and he knew right way whats wrong - cracked isolation over electrode. He went back office and picked up the part, came back and changed it. The furnace is up running ever since. But a month later, I received a bill asking me to pay $477.42, thats on top of what I already paid $292.34 ($159 + $133.42). For a simple fix - change the part (electrode kit - only cost $25), The Longacre Company is charging me a total of $769.76 - unbelievable. Tried talk to the man in charge a couple of times, the final result came back from his boss (company owner) is they can only give $112 discount on Labor. I was asking the owners contact information, but he refused give it to me. The point here is, this company is trying to get its customers to pay for training their technicians (because they are not knowledgeable enough) and paying to change parts that were still good and any associated labor for changing good parts. Dont use this company. You may be the next one to pay a big bill.

We were faced with replacing one of our heat pumps and it was the newer of the two that we had! With having put over $2k in the older, circa 1981, unit in the past 2 years we decide to bite the proverbial bullet and replace both units. We requested 4 competitive quotes from larger HVAC companies in the area and we only received 2! So much for the theory of a poor economy! The Longacre Company showed up on time, assessed the home for the proper size units and then sent a quote within 48 hours. Using the larger companies in the area we assumed that the estimates were going to be on the high side but we were pleasantly surprised with the estimate from Longacres. Once the contract was singed the install was scheduled and the crew that showed up was as professional as I could have imagined. Their quality of workmanship in how the unit looked was impeccable. Every wire was neatly placed every line was secured in a way as not to impede access, the system layout was well thought out and looks great. They took their time every night (the install took 4 days) to explain what they did and what the next steps would be. They were insistent about using shoe covers and drop cloths despite my pleas not too. These guys have a customer for life! Bravo Longacre Co.

We used The Longacre Company to install a new bathroom in our farmhouse. Working with Darin and the rest of the employees at Longacre Company has been great. They came out to the house and looked at what we had and helped us decide what would be the best for us moving forward. We went from a bathroom that had been there since the 60s to a very modern and functional master bathroom and we could not be happier. All their people who came out and did the work were very courteous and made sure that when they were done for the day the upstairs was cleaner then when they arrived. We are now also using them for installing new carpet upstairs and plan on using them for our other outdated bathroom in the near future. We highly recommend The Longacre Company for any remodeling needs.

We bought a house with a tiny kitchen that ended with a 3 foot wall dividing it from the next room. Darren problem solved and layed out a workable floor plan, making adjustments as we discovered what was in the wall and they were unable to move the support beam into the ceiling. He also worked with us to find options for saving money since big projects come with big numbers, even though it was a fair price for the job. It took a couple custom cabinets and creativity, but we have an all new, bigger and better kitchen. The guys who did the work were friendly and professional throughout the 2 1/2 weeks they were in our home. They also kept things as clean and organized as possible, which was great since we have a curious 2 year old.

Great help and installation of our new air conditioner. We could have gone elsewhere for a little less money, but wanted the quality services. We expressed our interest in future projects with them. However, after the first cheap plastic part broke on the AC they gave us only excuses as to why they could not service us under the warranty. So, for a $30 part they lost all of our future business. We were looking for a company that would take care of us, not leave us high & dry, what a shame. We expected better service for the extra money, we did not get that.

Things dont last forever! I was faced with replacing both HVAC units. Based on several competitive bids, The Longacre Company impressed me from all aspects...Job assessment, Quote Turnaround/Competitiveness, Job Scheduling, Impeccable Workmanship and more. The installation team was punctual, helpful and very professional from start to finish. I recommend The Longacre Company to anyone who wants the job done with quality and care!

Extremely fast & very professional service! Our central AC stopped working mid-afternoon on a very hot day in July. At about 4 pm, I called The Longacre Company to see if they could come out. A technician was at my house within 45 minutes of my call, and the AC was running again by 5:15. Amazing Service!
