This horrible company was moving someone from Wellesley Circle in Highland Park where I grew up and my mother and father still live. As I drove up the hill to pick up my mother for a doctors appointment, a rude guy directing a truck (which was hitting trees and blocking the entire thoroughway) told me I had to go around the circle in a very rude dismissive way. I told him you guys dont own the street my family has lived here for 30 years, he laughed at me. Not wanting to waste time, I backed up and went the other way around Wellesley circle. As I did, another truck from their company blocked my path this way! I went to turn around and the original truck had now boxed me in! Totally disorganized and rude. I got out of the car and told them they had to move a truck so I could get through again this rude guy named Casey Lee (at least he said that was his name) laughed at me. Typically I would press the issue and let them know they are in my neck of the woods and not the suburbs but my mother had an appointment to get to. So I told them how to move their truck and guided my way out. They are embarrassingly incompetent, flippint and rude. Casey is lucky I had somewhere to be or I would have actually got his real name and called someone about their trucks blocking up the neighborhood. I typically dont leave reviews but I own my own business and would want someone to tell me if my workers were this incompetent. Looking at the other reviews its obviously they are a garbage company that just does what they want despite inconveniencing everyone. Definitely dont use them they are dismissive and just stupid. Stay out in south hills not in the city!

We used South Hills Movers to move from Canonsburg, PA to Sahuarita, AZ in November of 2014. They were terrible. Yes, it has taken me a long time to write this because I usually dont like to give bad reviews. Everyone has bad days but I was just looking at pictures of the damaged boxes containing my mothers china and was reminded Im still mad! The driver was rude and dirty. His helper was the only saving grace of the entire experience. He did most of the work while his partner/driver sat in the truck or my bathroom. (of which he never asked to use, and yes I believe when you got to go, go ... but he was not noticeably sick) I had many damaged pieces of furniture. My mattresses were not packed correctly and they were torn which negated my warranty with the mattress company. Fortunately I did pay for the insurance, very expensive I might add, and most of the furniture was repaired. Not only did they damage my furniture but the driver broke our front screen door in Canonsburg. When I called the company and complained I was told they would fix it. The girl at the desk even told Handyman to do what ever it takes to fix it. But when the $500 bill for the new door came in ... they refused to pay it all saying that the driver didnt do it and then threatened me by saying, "youll want to at least split this with the driver, after all he still has to drive your furniture to Arizona. I would never, ever use this company again nor would I recommend them. I would give them minus stars if I could.

Under the leadership of Shane- our move couldnt have been more seamless. Shane, Stan, and Luke were consummate professionals and took extreme care in moving our personal belongings. They absolutely went the extra mile in ensuring that we were comfortable, and that everything was going in the right place at our new home. We have a 5 month old baby, and they relieved a lot of our stress by packing his crib last, and setting it up first at the new house- without us even having to ask. They were always one step ahead of us! In the future, the only moving company I will work with is South Hills Movers- and I will always request Shane and his team by name, to help us out! In addition I wanted to ensure that I mentioned Jan Henderson, who did an AMAZING job checking in on us and helping coordinate all the specifics of the move as our relocation coordinator.

I had used them 20 years ago, they were great. This time they were horrible. I clearly could see that they put heavy items on furniture which broke legs on furniture. Ive had a beautiful lingered chest from Bombay, which cannot be used because the drawer dont fit properly the sides are bowed which causes the drawers to not close properly. It was in perfect condition, we moved 27 minutes away, and the guy told me its from moisture. There was no moisture where it came from and none where it went, so if it was in their truck they are responsible. I would not recommend them. Infact, because they lied and didnt take responsibility for what they damaged, Ill make sure I warn everyone about how they operate.

Zero stars. NIGHTMARE. Thats how I would describe our move experience with South Hills Movers. The majority of our furniture and belongings were delivered to our home completely DESTROYED, in pieces or very badly damaged. Not just scratched or dinged, but damaged beyond repair. After speaking with them about the extent of the damage and being promised they would take care of it, they didnt. Their word means nothing. They fought us for months on the claims after they gave me their word they would "make everything right." I would never recommend them or use them again. This is our second cross country move and South Hills Movers made it a living nightmare for us.

I recently moved my father from Pawleys Island, SC to Pittsburgh and was completely satisfied with the South Hills Moving Team. My initial contacts in Pittsburgh were Steve and Kelly who estimated my costs and organized the move. Eddie & Bruce (our movers) arrived in Pawleys Island, on time and were helpful, courteous and efficient. Our belongings arrived in Pittsburgh on time and in perfect shape - not one dish was broken! Thank you Eddie, Bruce, Steve & Kelly for making this process hassle free!!

I would recommend these guys to anyone looking to move. The move out crew of Darryl, Steve, Sean & Jacque were just incredible. Very considerate of your belongings, polite and professional. Kelly was so organized and on top of things. The move in crew of Cody & Gary again were so courteous and professional. Last but not least was Lexi Brown, professional and organized. Thanks for making the move a pleasant experience.

We used South Hills movers last week for a local move. I could not have been happier with them! I had Mark and his team complete my move. They were very professional and conscientious. All 3 of them were hard working and efficient. They were very careful not to damage anything. They did not bump anything moving out of the old place or into the new place. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dont use with an out of state move. They assure you that do it all the time then turn you down at the last minuite cause no one else is moving that direction. Information like that should be given right way not 2 weeks later.
