This company was unfortunately the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I hired them to move my furniture from Miami to North Carolina as I started a new research job. I chose them after the owner, Gary, guaranteed that they would be able to deliver the furniture before my job began in NC. I explained that my family was taking time off and driving up with me to help organize the apartment quickly before I started. The pickup arrived and was good except for the fact that I saw bhe option to buy insurance and called the office to purchase this. They didnt pick up so I left a message. No response so I wrote on the form that I specifically wanted to purchase insurance and to call me about it. Never heard back. We then drove to NC and called a few days later to see when the truck would arrive. He told us at that point that the truck had gotten stuck in Georgia because of a failed inspection and he was working on it. He was rude and said specifically "if you ever get off the phone, I can do my job." Over the next three days, we had to call Gary twice a day to ever get an update on the delivery. He finally told us that truck had come back to florida from georgia for repairs, and was not headed up to NC. Frustrated, my family headed back having wasted three days of work and gas money. We called later that week to get an update and a different employee told us that what had actually occurred was that there was another delivery in NC that had delayed their delivery date, so Gary would not ship our order by itself. We had been blatantly lied to unfortunately. I started work without furniture or all my clothes, and still no updates unless I called to ask. I finally got the delivery two weeks later. The delivery individuals kept calling to delay and finally arrived to my apartment at 1am that night. They spent form 1-3am moving in my furniture and I had neighbors who called to complain about the noise. As they left, I noticed that my bed was broken, they "fixed" it with super glue. It broke again one day after they left and I had to throw the slats away. They also told me my coffee table was broken and being repaired in Ft. Laud. The delivery individuals told me I couldnt pay with CC (I preferred this for financial protection) after business hours. I paid cash since I had no other choice at 3am. He told me that he would personally make sure my table was fixed or replaced. Since that day two months ago, I havent heard from that individual or gotten a call back. I finally called the ownership and was told the table was lost and I could fill out a claim for their general basic insurance...for 60c per pound of furniture, a loss of over $150 for me. I dont typically post but I feel as though I lost hundreds of dollars property and hours of time and effort by choosing this company. They may be adequate for local deliveries, but I think they are absolutely incompetent at long distance deliveries and quite possibly will lie to you when there are issues. They dont consistently pick up the office phone because its directed to the owners cell phone. He was unprofessional and non-responsive to customer issues throughout the process. The employees do not respect normal hours for their customers and the other apartment inhabitants. Unfortunately, this has been a frustrating and terrible experience and I cannot recommend this company.

Ft Lauderdale Moving has been in business since 1999...We have outstanding references and we stay in business by very little advertising and 80% word of mouth. We try our best to satisfy all of our customers. Unfortunately some are harder then others. Please excuse the 2 bad reviews on this listing...out of countless positive reviews...only a few 1 star reviews stand. We make it clear to our customers pick up and drop off dates and times as well as payment arrangements. We are a fair and honest company. We are a Dad and son operation. We depend on each other everyday, work 7 long days a week, and our reputation is our livelihood. We are not so much concerned about money as we are in helping people in there most stressed time. Fort Lauderdale is our home town and it is our survival town. The legacy of Gary Muraco Sr is to love the moving business and have a moving company like no other. In all the years of moving we have acquired a clientele on Ft Lauderdale beach and cherish the privilege to do business in Florida. We promise to give a great job at the best price.

I had 3 great guys for my local move in Fort Lauderdale. These guys were all professional. I moved to a high-rise condo on the beach, and the length these guys had to walk from point A to point B was ridiculous, but I didnt hear any complaining. It started to rain during the moving-in phase, and these guys pushed to beat the rain. They took every precaution to make sure my stuff was protected. I was very worried about how painful the logistics of my move was going to be, but these guys didnt seem phased and did nothing but assured me it was no problem. The owner, Gary, was there too overseeing most of the process; great guy. Not only was I quoted a great price but it ended up costing less than the original quote. I would definitely recommend Fort Lauderdale Moving.

This second time we have used Ft.Lauderdale movers, first time when I moved from West Palm to Ft. Lauderdale and second time when my parents moved their 4 bedroom house + study and piano, I was impressed the first time but they even did better job on the big house they had 3 trucks, six movers wrapping the furniture and putting them in the truck we did not think that our move it can be done in one day but after 13 hours later it was done. If they did not have to repack some items we packed that was not safe they would of be done an hour earlier. These guys are awesome, I feel comfortable referring them to any one who needs to move. Thanks, Thomas, Gary, Eddie and the rest of the crew for your hard work. you made my parents move very easy and also no damages.

Unfortunately my experience with this company and its alternative name (Authority Van Lines ) was not good. I hired them to move furniture out of a storage unit in Ft. Lauderdale and up to Saugus Massachusetts. They quoted me a very (too) reasonable price and took a $ 1300 deposit. We settled on a delivery date in Saugus and the furniture was picked up on March 4, 2016. Shortly thereafter they reported a major problem with their truck and they would try an alternate. Too make a very long story short, they put my furniture in a different storage unit across town. I had to pay $ 265 to get the key (in July) and pay another mover to ship. They have apologized many time but refuse to return the $ 1300. I would not recommend this company.

As a father I was concerned about the interaction between the guys and my daughter (this is the first time she has left the nest)....but after her report, my concerns were put to rest!!!...perfect gentleman!!!All belongings arrived without a scratch and they even helped rearrange the furniture after my better half kept changing her mind....lol...thanks guys!!! Very impressed and I highly recommend this company!!
