short story: They ditched me and still want me to pay them. The mover tried to contact me and could not, and they bailed after 15 mins. However, they still want me to pay more than half ($175) of 4 hour work ($332). Full story: The mover contacted me and asked me when they should come to my unit at 10:30am. My initial appointment was 11am and as it was pushed to later with my preference + because they had another job beforehand, however, they finished the first job earlier and they contacted me. I asked them because I am still packing, would it be Okay to come at noon, but driver told me we were supposed to come later, so its really up to me. Therefore I suggest 1pm more suitable time, and the call ends. BUT, THEY COME AT NOON ANYWAYS, and when I didnt pick up my phone, they just left and never answered my phone call around 1pm. The dispatcher told me to stop calling their main office so he can locate movers, then around 2pm when I called their office the dispatcher went home without telling me that the move is canceled. How convenient. I am sure they really enjoyed the trip back with the thought they are earning $175 without any work. Well, I am going to make sure that never happens.

Beware....this company. Numerous problems between owner and driver F. Miscommunication and misrepresentation to us, the customer. The driver F walked off our job --my husband and I worked over 6 hours to help crew finish the job before the house closing and walk through the following morning. Owner lied to us on numerous occasions about price; fitting a tractor trailer in our driveway; poor communication with her workers; placed our stuff in a storage unit and never advised it was not covered. Lack of professional and responsibility of the driver/of tract trailer with a turbulent temper. Numerous (48+) broken items of serving dishes; dishes; glasses; statues; scratched and nicked furniture. The owner does not take responsibility for her drivers behavior or actions. It was a nightmare The owner states she is a representative of Allied Moving Company however when you call them they say she does not register her paperwork with them.

I used Allegheny Valley Transfer to do a move across town. I live a very active and busy life and didnt have the time or help to move completely on my own. I called Allegheny Valley Transfer and even though I spent more than I wanted, the move went absolutely flawless! I used the packing service and that helped me out a lot! I didnt have to do anything in terms of packing. The drivers brought everything including boxes, tape, and stuff to help keep my stuff from breaking during the move. The whole move lasted about 4-5 hours. I was also pretty impressed that nothing got broken either. If you are looking for a moving company that makes it easy to move I highly recommend this company!

There was some confusion on my part over what size truck I would be getting for my local move, only up to 26 foot trucks are used. As a result I thought we would get everything in one trip, we did not. I ended up moving the remaining items on my own. However the overall experience was great as stressful as the process was there were no surprises on price, and the friendly and hard working crew worked fast and were careful and courteous. If I ever move again, I will need 2 trucks but I would use them again.

Recently, I moved from one part of the town to the other and when I was shopping around to find the best rates to move, Allegheny Valley Transfer blew the others away. I was nervous with the whole process of moving but was comforted by the AVT team. Their customer service really was the difference for us, as they answered any questions we had throughout the process. Our transition worked out great without any hiccups and I would recommend them to others who are sitting in the same boat as us.

I would give this place a .00001 star if I could. A mixture of lying to the customer... Delays far beyond shipping window, missing boxes, not telling the customer that the "broken truck" isnt a regional truck and lying to us that it was broken and all of our stuff is unloaded without notice at a "warehouse". Thanks for destroying my home theater system, B&W speakers toast, most boxes damaged. Will NEVER recommend you to ANYONE!

We built and optimized the website and when the invoice came they said they were on the verge of bankrupcy so they couldnt pay... The Website is still up and people are still answering the phones... Be careful when dealing with this company and NEVER give them 30 days to pay demand all money upfront

Great experience overall. Staff was professional polite and helpful. Packers and movers were hard working. Everything arrived and was placed where I requested. Staff was patient when I had some difficulty making up my mind as to where to put items.

The team of men I had were lead by Larry. They were efficient and quick as well as polite and careful. The hustled to get the job done. They could be booked on short notice for my move and were very well priced for movers in the area.
