TL;DR: Rosemont tire is just another garage of swindlers - do not trust them and do not spend your money here. Story below. Originally from the Poconos, I moved to Bryn Mawr last year. Broke my heart to leave my trusted mechanics behind, but such is life. Had one good experience at Rosemont Tire with a flat so I returned to them to have my inspection done last week. At the end of my stay, manager came out and explained a lengthy and dangerous sounding problem to me about my alignment, and that they even considered failing my inspection but decided against it, providing advice that this was a serious problem and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. Unsure of spending money on something that I, a 24-year-old blondie, had no idea about, I decided to take my precious Honda home to my mechanics in the Poconos to see if they agreed, so I could depend on Rosemont Tire in the future and stop having to drive 1.5 hours to have my car fixed in the 570. Today, speaking to the mechanics Ive known since before I knew what cars were, they tell me that after FIVE people looked at my car, absolutely NOTHING is wrong with it. My alignment is fine, my tires are fine, my bushings arent "stripping" like the manager told me they were. Extremely disappointed that a business would try and take advantage of an ignorant customer just to make a few bucks. Ridiculous. I am planning on reporting them to the Business Bureau as they deserve to be. GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE YOU GET SOMETHING REPAIRED HERE.

I recently wrote an unfavorable review of United Tire in Rosemont due to the fact that in my phone conversation with them, they told me they couldnt find the remote for keyless entry into the car, which is an old Saab , so any parts are hard to come by, and I was of course upset since it was the only one I had. However, I am rewriting my review to a favorable one. They found the remote and I received a call from Dave who told me they will diagnose the issues and give me an estimate. He promptly got back to me and gave me a full list of all the repairs and what it would take to put the car "on the road." So, since I do know that these guys do good work and get good reviews, I am changing my review. Whether or not I go ahead with the extensive work, I will get them to do the work, or bring my next car to them, which wont be a Saab.

A brief anecdote about why, in my experience, this is a fine place to take your car... My mother in law let me use her SUV to move some furniture. When we swapped cars, I noticed that her "change oil now" light was on. I thought Id do the nice thing and surprise her by taking car of her oil change. After all, shes letting me marry her daughter and I think thats pretty cool of her. So just this morning I drop off her SUV on my way to work to pick it up this afternoon. They call me no more than 45 minutes later to tell me that, in fact, the SUV did not need an oil change. One had just been done, they just didnt reset the sensor. Morals of the story: these people are an honorable bunch who wont do unnecessary work. And just ask your mother in law if she actually needs an oil change.

I had blown out a tire on a nasty pot hole. I went to another tire shop and they were rude and unhelpful telling me there was no way they could help me. I had an 8 hour drive scheduled for the next day. I came into rosemont and had the entire thing fixed within an hour. They were kind and caring and talked to me about all of the options and offered opinions when I asked. I could not have asked for a better experience. I would definitely recommend them!

Quite expensive. Heads up; labor here cost $120/hour. Despite that, I was satisfied in how quickly they got to my car even though it was just before a holiday weekend (when they diagnosed it). Once they reopened several days later, surely with many jobs queueing up, I followed up and they got the part ordered, which arrived the next day, and I had my car back that evening. Their service was very convenient and efficient in that regard.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would. My wife and I both take our cars there, and they are always fast, friendly, and most importantly, honest. The amount of times when they easily could have told one of us we needed a $1,000 repair, but instead they did an easy little fix for free, has been astounding given my past experiences. For as long as I live here, Ill be taking my car to them.

Older car; did not want to seem to help find parts or cost effective solution. Spouted off a large estimate in general ; without breaking it down into detail in writing. Its too bad, as I would have referred a lot of business in that I manage a building down the street. Longtime auto shop tenants go to closed, and I get asked all the time for referrals.

WONDERFUL. I love these guys. They gave me the best deals. Being a teacher, I dont have a lot to cough up on routine checks. They would negotiate prices and knew me by name each time I visited. Hal, Steve, and all the guys made my experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely the place to go =) !

Edit 5/9/15: six stars! They just saved the day again after a flat tire nightmare! All done with politeness, humor and value! Super friendly, non pushy guys. Do just what you ask and honor all coupons/deals....these guys might just be the holy grail: an honest mechanic!

They were so nice and helped change my flat tire with my spare. They were even willing to find a new rim for me since mine were so rusted. Awesome service, I will definitley be back. I would go out of my way from the city to get any repair work done here!

Complete rip off. My inspections were between $600-$1200 every year I took my car here until I finally switched to someone else, and now my inspections are about $200!!! This place always told me my brakes needed replacing, like each year!
