Take your car somewhere else. My impression after three visits is that they often cant finish your car the day you are promised it to be finished and they do not pay attention to details of doing good work. Here is my experience: First visit Sept 2013, OK CV shaft boots replaced. Second visit March 2014, One CV boot replaced in September failed after 4K miles but they fixed under warranty for parts and labor but they took 3 days to do this-this is a 1/2 day job. They never cleaned up the grease that leaked and this in turn required me to clean the grease off the wheel well one month later when I noticed it so that I could be sure the CV boot joint did not fail again. Third visit November 2014, I had them reseal two valve covers. One day later my check engine light came on, I made an appointment to have this checked and they could not get to it during the entire day I made the appointment for. I picked up my car that night and took it back to my local Tires plus. They found that a vacuum hose was at the rear of a valve cover was disconnected from its fitting, I am 99% sure this happened during the valve cover reseal. In addition one of the valve covers has so much old grease and dirt at the gasket boundary I am left with the impression that it was not resealed or if it was it was really poor job with no regard to surface prep and cleaning the valve cover before seating the new gasket and RTV sealant.

Began driving large cars after being hit in the rear some twenty plus years ago. Had a few Cadillacs then switched to Mercedes Benzs. The MB is a very good car but after about 80,000 miles they always seen to go "south" with one problem or another and always seemingly expensive to correct. In a recent conversation with a cousin in January 2014 I was told about Charles (C.S.) Cantlin MB Service in West Conshohocken and the great experiences he had with service and maintenance with Cantlin. Thought I give it a try, as I was on the edge of getting rid of the car a buy a Lexus. When entering Cantlins business location, I was very impressed with the appearance and the professional / courteous staff . (Thought by appearances that I was in a MB Dealership and with my negative past experiences with the Dealership I was hoping I wasnt). Turned out fortunately within a short time I was able to most satisfactorily have my car back from Cantlin in great running order and a reasonable price. Thanks Cantlin.

It is with pleasure that I write about my outstanding experience at C.S. Cantlin Automotive Service. I have owned three Mercedes over the past 13 years and have been a loyal customer of C.S. Cantlin for over six years. The first few years I owned a Mercedes it serviced by the usual suspects and after a while; I quickly grew tired of the big dealerships. I was thrilled to find an alternative to the dealership without having to sacrifice any of the amenities I had come to expect. At C.S. Cantlin, I have always experienced courteous, on time delivery, and my car is always delivered freshly cleaned and repaired correctly the first time. A few times I chose to wait while my car was in for a minor repair. During my wait, I enjoyed C.S. Cantlin’s well-appointed reception area complete with free Wi-Fi access, great coffee as well as thoughtfully selected reading material. When I am on the run, I can always count on C.S. Cantlin for a lift to the train or the use of one of their loaner cars. Overall, Charlie and the staff at C.S. Cantlin provide outstanding service and a great value. Whenever I have a car in for service, I come away feeling like they genuinely care about me and my vehicle. Sincerely, Rob Robert J. Roath

I actually am very busy so I usually dont write reviews unless there bad, other wise I just give the company a 5 star and move on but anyways I went here once for service thinking I could save money by not going to devon mercedes for my simple b service but then they found a hole in the tire and I was like okay you can fix it should have been like $20 to plug but it was $80 for a small nail hole but the kicker is for a place called cantilin mercedes they broke my engine cover, which is ridiculous since there suppose to know mercedes yet, if your hire inexperienced right out of high school people what can you expect(apon further inspection of who does there work) not good. l I was there when the dealler opened the car for another service later on for my a service and they properly went to open it and it was broken not the hood cover but then engine cover but still a $100 for a new one and they said for people who dont work on them often the little clips are easy to break. I called them and they said the owner would be in I called for 1 month straight and they gave me the run around, I dont like saying this but I would rather just go to the dealer out of warranty than here if its going to cost me more plus I get a loaner car.

Rip, Rip, Rip off. For the tiny amount of money you may or may not save, this place is not worth the rip off. Cantlins charged 149.00 for "diagnostic testing" which needed more "tests" to figure out my slk hard top problem. Mercedes in Devon visually inspected the car, and told me for FREE/NO Charge, that an idiot could tell you the top would not retract based on the alignment of the trunk after an accident. Said they couldnt take my money for such an obvious issue. Cantlin had no problem taking it, and I sent Charlie Cantlin a letter asking for a refund, as he inspected the car with me, and put it through "diagnostic tests" just to make a buck and no response. Save your money, go to Mercedes, they are honest and dependable, at least in Devon, PA
