My wife and I bought a used Ford at Forrester Lincoln today. We were helped from the get-go by the friendly Travis Mummert. We had already decided on the specific vehicle we wanted, and Travis had it ready for us to test drive within five minutes of our arrival at the dealership. He guided us from the rear seat in a test drive loop around Chambersburg that included city, rural, and interstate roadways. He was amiable and easy to talk to, answering our questions clearly though allowing us ample opportunity to listen to the vehicles operation as we drove. We had already shopped around for financing and had come to the dealership prepared with a pre-issued check from our lender. Mr. Mummert asked what interest rate wed gotten from our lender and was confident that he could do better. We decided to let him try. This was the longest part of the purchase process, but as we had given permission for Mr. Mummert to run our credit, this wasnt a surprise. He returned with a comparable offer to the one wed gotten (from the same lender!) and he urged us to consider an official Ford extended warranty—though if we wanted the warranty we had to take the dealers financing plan which would have lowered our monthly payment (but by extending the loans term a whole year, likely increased the total amount wed have paid in interest). Compared to other sales associates and dealership sales employees Ive dealt with in buying cars, Mr. Mummert was one of the best. He did his best to make a case for the extended warranty and worked very hard to make it as attractive to us as possible, but did not judge us, scold us, or berate us in any way when we declined the couple of offers he made (again, at our request) to include official Ford extended warranty coverage to us (not some fly-by-night third-party extended warranty scam program). He kept a cheerful, attentive and respectful attitude toward us regardless of us opting out of the extended warranty. Its always a trade-off; if anyone could convince me that an extended warranty was worth the added cost (and interest), I think that itd have been Mr. Mummert. He answered every question clearly and concisely, and neither my wife nor I ever felt any pressure to take his financing offer rather than the one wed come with. The price we ended up paying was the price listed on the internet (i.e., what wed expected) plus a negligible dealer documentation fee which is fewer than $10 from what Im finding online to be listed as the Pennsylvania average. Dealers charge this fee to cover the cost of filing out contracts, state forms, bank forms, etc. as part of the sale. Pennsylvania doesnt limit these fees, as far as I know (call/write your state legislator), so its nice that the dealership didnt use this opportunity to drop a major charge on this. Mr. Mummert informed me that this fee is applied to every car they sell to anyone and cannot be changed. Again, compared to other experiences Ive endured, this seemed completely normal and in keeping with what I would likely pay at literally any other dealer in Pennsylvania. A few perks of shopping at Forrester Lincoln: they gave us both keys for the vehicle (used cars are often sold with only one key). And they offer a free (nice) loaner vehicle if ever we need to take advantage of their service department while our vehicle is in the shop. Ive only owned the car for a few hours, but it made the two-hour drive home just fine. I would recommend Travis Mummert and Forrester Lincoln again in the future. Good work all around!

Car shopping, for me, is stressful enough without being pressured by a pushy salesman and his boss to buy something I cant afford. I spent weeks pouring over the internet searching for cars to look at on my one day off following an accident which totaled my vehicle. I had a fixed amount to spend from the insurance and I wasnt looking to haggle price or finance anything, I just needed to buy a clean reliable car with the money I had. Enter Joshua Myers and Forrester Lincoln. My day started here as I had half an hour to kill before looking at a private sale Mustang. I had seen a couple cars on Forresters site that interested me and thought Id give them a look. A Town Car had caught my eye and Joshua offered to let me drive it to check out the Mustang. I must say I was hooked by the car and then by the service. As my title suggests Joshua was very helpful and the whole experience was relaxed and low pressure. While I loved the car it was just a little more then I had to spend and I left for another dealer. To keep this short I can tell you the rest of my day was the exact opposite, filled with less desirable cars and horrible salespeople. Dejected at the end of the day I went home wondering what I was going to do. Saturday came and with it a phone call from Joshua. They could drop the price just enough for me to buy the car. What a Godsend this was for me! I am now the proud owner of a fine Lincoln Town Car thanks to Joshua Myers. He went the extra mile on the day of delivery by getting the car Maryland inspected for me, staying late and picking me up at the rental car location across town. I highly recommend Joshua and Forresters to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. You will not be disappointed!

I saw this 1990 Dodge 150 E on AutoTrader and it said 69813 miles original and one owner. I called Dealership at Forrester Lincoln and Larry answered. He explained details and assured me twice everything was correct. He sent info via email and pictures in more detail. I was so impressed with his salesmanship that I gave him a deposit to hold via credit card. I search for classic trucks all around the country for rebuilds and other customers. I was looking for a Dodge truck exactly like this for a family member. I rented a car and drove from Atlanta to check this vehicle out. I was blown away by the service and hospitality by all when I arrived. Escorted to local Hertz and driven back to dealership after agreeing to purchase. The dealership service department and Larry Howell had prepped the Dodge to get ready for me. I had every intention of putting the vehicle on a hauler and renting another car. I drove it for thirty minutes and was amazed by all aspects of the truck. I came back and Larry had all the paperwork done and drive out tag ready to go. We signed documents and I was done...less than an hour at the dealership. I drove it back to Atlanta that night and enjoyed every minute of the ride ....incredible service and honesty from a salesperson and a dealership. Larry Howell was awesome. I cannot say enough about Forrester Lincoln. I have been buying and rebuilding vehicles for over 25 years and I have seen many dealerships...This is one is a Gem and future favorites on web searches. If they do this well with a used truck...imagine what they do with a new vehicle. Check their website and Call Larry Howell!! Adam P. Decatur, Georgia

I drove from 3:30 hours away to view and test drive a sports car at Forrester Lincoln Mercury. Before making the drive, I called up the location and spoke with Mike, who informed that he would put the keys in his desk, if I was interested in purchasing the car. Upon arriving at the location, Mike had the keys in his desk, just like he assured me. While present, I was unbelievably impressed with the 51 year old family business. While taking a test drive of the vehicle, Mike gave me a history lesson on the dealership, as well as the neighborhood. Upon heading back to the dealership and getting ready to purchase the car, there was a misunderstanding on the sticker price of the car and the price of the car online. Even though, the car’s price online was less than the sticker price, Mike and Bill honored the lower car price online. Mike and Bill are 100% honest, straightforward and trustworthy businessmen. These character traits are almost impossible to find in the business world today, but not at Forrester Lincoln Mercury. I have met a lot of business people in my life, but the way Mike handled the entire situation, was legendary. I can’t stay enough of how professional he, his family, their employees and their business is ran. Mike did not try and sell me a car, he advised me on the vehicle and let me make the decision for myself. If you are interested in purchasing a car, I highly recommend traveling the extra distance to see Mike at Forrester Lincoln Mercury. See what he can do for you! The next time I know anyone is in the market for a car, Im sending them to Mike.
