I was in an auto accident and the police had called Douglasville auto body because they are a AAA tow facility. I am a widow and didnt know who to call being fairly new to the area. I thought if you cant trust the police, who can you trust? My auto insurance didnt recommend them. I should have listened. I just didnt want the hassle of towing my vehicle again. I found them to be very condescending. Typical way many garage guys treat women. Really ticked me off because I do know some about cars. My husband was a car guy. I had to take my vehicle back 4 times to get them to fix the door correctly. The 4 th time because it wouldnt pass inspection. My mechanic ( who I trust) told me to make them fix that door ! It works but still isnt lined up right. The latest thing that happened was a wheel bearing recently broke that Douglasville replaced due to my accident.My mechanic told me after he fixed it , that instead of a new bearing , Douglasville used a used old one. Didnt even last a year. There are a couple more things I could write but, this is getting long. Bottom line - dont take your vehicle here, especially if you are a single woman ! In response to Douglasville - first, my door handle wasnt ripped from the door. I dont even have the strength ! It was put in improperly . My door doesnt hang low, its high with a huge gap on the left. When Im driving, inside it sounds like there is no door the wind noise is so loud . My insurance company came out and inspected my vehicle recently.Ive been reimbursed for my out of pocket expense for the bad bearing. My insurance company wont be recommending anyone to you anytime soon...

Had an oil change done there, and they told me that my car was rusted out underneath, would need $1500 worth of body work to pass my upcoming inspection, and that I should probably just sell my car and buy a new one (hands me a business card for a we-buy-any-car type place down the street). I took my car to a garage near my work, and the mechanic took me under my car to show me that their story was complete BS. There was only one small questionable spot of rust underneath my car, and it would most certainly pass inspection. (Needless to say, he now gets my business). Never listen to a body shop that tells you your car will need expensive body work without a second opinion. In response to the owners comment: there is not any evidence whatsoever that the frame rails are beginning to rot. The quote would not be in your system because it was not an inspection, it was verbal by the mechanic and person at the counter. It was a "safety recommendation" based on a mythical problem. The entire transaction was shady. My review is completely valid, just not what you want to see in your reviews

My experience here was not well. I dropped my vw off on a Tuesday and I had to contact him on Thursday only to be informed that he would need my car an EXTRA week but still wanted to charge me $750. He failed to keep me informed and we even scheduled my appointment but he worked on other cars during that Tuesday that i had my appointment. not a good place, would not recommend.

Prompt service and personable staff. To the point and will not give you the run around. Its hard to trust anybody these days and thats why when you find someone you can you stick with them. Plus who doesnt like a business that supports its local Police, Fire and EMS.
