I asked for a simple tire patch, they said " it was unrepairable". Well im here at another shop that showed me that it can be done. And is being done as we speak. Ive driven on this small nail for months without so much as tire pressure being lost. Yet they cant patch that?? They said they would have it done in 2 hours, I waited 3 just before they even started on it. Then there is their "salesman". He got on the phone trying to pitch me not just 1 new tire, (which I can understand you buy in pairs for even tread), not just 2 tires,( I only came for a 30 dollar patch job!!!) But four tire replacements. Oh..because my car is AWD. So what they lack in salesmen tactics (too much pitch on everything they have, not enough let the customer talk and sell based on what their needs are first, THEN upsell) they must make up in psychic abilities or tarot card readings because they assumed I even had a car with AWD. (Must have super natural abilities because the car wasnt even at their location when I dropped it off, the tire was off the car id10t...) As I went to pick it up they wouldnt even put the tire back on the rim for easier handling, or respect. I gave them the tire put together, but just like a child they dont want to put back my property as I gave it to them, unless they charge me a fee to do it. As I called them out on this, his response was and I quote "we are here just to make money" While you try your shoddy sales pitch abilities, and yes I CAN sell better than that personally I welcome the option to prove it, you expose yourself for being theives. Selling grabber hts tires for 350 dollars above market price and screwing the customer over when you realize you cant make your grand sale. Do your own research before coming here people. Or be prepared to give them your wallet just to be treated with respect and heard.

WOW! What a great experience. I was searching for the best and a friend recommended South Hanover Automotive at 604 Frederick Street. I own three cars, a new Ford Escape, a 2003 Ford Taurus with 237,000 miles, and a classic 1941 Plymouth P 12 Special Deluxe. So you see, taking care of my cars is very important to me, keeping them in good running condition and reliable on the road a must. WHAT I FOUND ~ A clean well organized work shop with a place for everything and everything in its place. I noticed two mechanics working together while my car was on the lift. I learned from Phil Grob the service manager that this was part of their standard operating procedure. Two sets of eyes is better than one. Later, I was given a Courtesy Inspection Report Card as Phil reviewed it with me. I recommend Mike and Christine Cooper, owners of South Hanover Automotive to everyone in the Hanover area. Im new to PA and needed to have some work done to my car. Quite by accident I found South Hanover Automotive. To be perfectly honest...I thought I was calling another automotive business. I explained what I needed and booked the appointment. Being female, I was hesitant to take my car by myself for fear of being raked over the coals! I can honestly say...I wont be going anywhere else for my automotive needs! Best customer service ever!! Pricing was extremely fair. Bil, Phil and Rick (I believe) made me feel like an old friend!! I will be making an appointment for my husbands truck very soon! I especially liked how they showed me what was wrong and even emailed a report!! If you are in need of automotive repairs or just an oil change...do yourself a favor and call Bil Dooley @ South Hanover Automotive!!!

Found South Hanover Automotive on the web when looking for a new place to take my Miata. Read all the positive reviews, and decided to try them. Had a brake fluid leak, so this was an important repair. They found it quickly (2 places), offered me a loaner for a few days, quoted me a price up front, and got things fixed timely and at no additional cost. I just got it back yesterday, so I cant comment yet on the quality of the repairs. But I expect no problems. As for customer service, it was excellent! Thanks!

I highly recommend them! They treat their customers like family. I have been taking my car to South Hanover Automotive, Frederick St. for all my maintenance and repair needs. They have excellent service! They are always friendly and helpful. They have kept my car running through many issues and always keep me informed and help me prioritize when it comes to making repairs. For a mother of three small children it means alot to have a place you can trust to keep your vehicle running safely.

My wife and I are new residents of Pennsylvania. We needed to get both of our vehicles inspected and a friend highly recommended South Hanover Automotive. Im glad I took my friends advice. I spoke to Bill twice on the phone regarding questions that I had. He has great customer service. The shop does great work! They finished inspecting both cars in a timely fashion. My wife and i drove down from Buffalo NY to spend time with family in Gettysburg. We had some car trouble on the way down, the next morning i called bill and he told me to bring it in. The car was done in 2 hrs and we were relived that it was minor but he was great. Thank you for a great experience and not trying to mess around with us 10 out of five stars.

"pretty much the best car service youll find in york county " I use my car for my job; I drive around 300 miles a week. Having a car service provider that I can trust is imperative for me. If the South Hanover techs miss anything it could effect my job, but they havent failed me yet and I doubt they ever will.

I had a tire pressure issue and had to stop by South Hanover Automotive twice to have air added to a tire before the replacement was installed. The staff was helpful, friendly and took care of the issue quickly. As a female customer I appreciate not being talked down to when Im dealing with auto repairs.

Excellent service and repair. I bought some updated ignition and fuel components for my 77 Plymouth and had them install them. The car runs better than when it was new now. They also took the time to transport the vehicle to and from a local exhaust shop for a new dual Thanks. exhaust system.
