Have no idea why some of the other comments are so unfair. Must be small town drama. I am probably the most picky person in the world when it comes to my hair. I am 43 yrs old and have had some bad cuts. I have been to Sheer Elegance 3 times now. I have had the best 3 haircuts, I have ever had. Kara did my hair last. She did an amazing job. There was communication about what I wanted all thru out my haircut. She did nothing without explaining what she was doing. My haircut is hip and up to date. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and convenient. And the prices are very reasonable considering the financial turmoil of everyone over the last three years. I am very very pleased with the new haircut. My hair was damaged from coloring all the time myself to save money. A couple of swipes by Karas blade and I walked out of there with gorgeous hair. Thanks everyone. Hope my comment helps! I will be back to Sheer Elegance.

When I got there the person that was scheduled to do my hair wasnt there, and didnt call me to cancel. I was stuck with someone else who must not have known what they were doing. He proceded to chop my hair off and then buzzed it into a short-10-year-old style haircut (When I specifically asked to keep my hair a medium length). He was texting the entire time. I will never go there again and urge the rest of you to do the same.

Its Cindy & her staff all the way. The talent in this salon fills the room. Cindy is an amazing, caring stylist, and spends quality time with her clients. She is constantly marketing and growing her business - always looking for ways to improve and expand while supporting her community and staff. Way too few people have this initiative and drive. Congrats to her and 12 years for Shear Elegance!

Great atmisphere..friendly staff.very clean and well organized. Staff will go out of there way to help you chose the style color and cut that you want.prices are reasonable.Some of the products they use in the salon are for sale also and i like that you can purchase a product that your stylist helps you look great with. 5 stars ladys.keep up the great work. Your all awesome..

I will not go anywhere else! I have been all over Central PA and no one has ever been able to do my hair that when they were finished I actually liked how it was styled. The prices are beyond reasonable. They also offer a host of products...its really your one stop shopping and pampering place! I highly recommend Shear Elegance!

So this site is suppose to be used to rate and review local business. Not to bash other salons that do better work than you. Why dont you grow up, and let your work speak for itself. If your that shallow that you need to come on this site to bash your competition, that shows how mature you really are.

The worst haircut I ever had. She was in to much of a hurry to even make my hair wet. I freaked out we I got home and took a good look, then my wife had to try to straighten it out. I was the last one of the day and she just wanted to leave and didnt care enough to do a good job.

Last time i got my hair done here they ended up having an orangle tint to my blonde.. my hair pulls it but you can fix it also i did not like my hair it was not the style i even wanted and way overly priced.. my experience was terrible..

i love this salon! its soo awesome. they did my hair and i love it and eveyone else likes it :) oh and another thing..... american hairforce sucks!! i mean they talk bad about other salons and they do bad jobs on other peoples hair :P

I love this salon! I went to the salon great american hairforce once and my hair came out orange shear elegance did an excellent job fixing that mess. Not to mention I seen a roach in american hairforce as well. OMG never again.

Good experience, pleasant staff, but received sticker shock ($30) for 2 kids haircuts (ages 2 & 3). If I remember correctly, several months ago I only paid $7 for my own cut.
