Recommended my friend get his laptop fixed since its USB port was busted and I couldnt fix it. They said the whole motherboard had to be replaced because of physical damage, which was about what I had diagnosed myself. My friend decided to have someone he knew do it because it was cheaper, but when he went to pick it up they told him there was a problem with it; they had uninstalled windows and couldnt reinstall it. They claimed they might only be able to save some of his files (baloney, either they back up the hard drive and save everything or not) and that the hard drive needed to be replaced and he had to pay for it. The hard drive was perfectly functional before he turned the laptop over to them. After negotiations, he got it replaced at a small discount and even got his system restored to the new hard drive as it was beforehand. This hard drive came with the as-was image along with the added bonus of a huge package of scareware, rogueware, spyware, and adware installed onto it, making the computer barely usable. This made Chris free backup CDs of the laptop worthless. Cleaned the PC up myself and removed 192 malicious files in total. Huge hassle took at least a week and a half, felt scammed, wouldnt recommend anyone else again.

Absolutely terrible! Do not go here!!!!! These guys suck. They have 6 guys working there and it takes them a week and a half for a diagnostic because they "have a computer on the bench right now" Really? 6 guys working on one computer? They never called when they said they would, they didnt have work done when they said they would, and their customer service was terrible. I had marked express for one of my items and the guy who I dealt with said "oh, it should be done by the end of the week" then I pointed out to him that I marked express. He then replied that it should be done within a couple days. Three days later I called and they said it would be done sometime the following week because they were busy. I told them that I had marked express and they checked the paperwork to see that I, indeed, had marked express. They guy on the phone said: "oh, Chris didnt see you marked express" when I clearly had a conversation with him about it when I dropped it off. Not a way to run a business at all.

Just not sure. Had XP and Win7 problems in an effort to avoid future problems I bought several more Used XP computers and wound up with more than a dozen different computers from Win98 to Win7 they checked out everything from my XPs to the Win 7 machines. Replaced lots of Hard Drives in the computers. Now Im getting symptoms of Hard Drive Failure again and Im not sure whether they can/will fix them or not. Currently have all the computers in my possession because the last time the computer I took in "Had no hard drive problems, and no software problems according to their testing" and the business was busy and they couldnt get to it. But theyre the only company that worked on them. Still looking for a reliable Computer repair company. Seemed like I was going to the shop every week to get one of the computers fixed. ------------------------- Not happy, going somewhere else.

MORE THAN YOU COULD ASK FOR. Let me begin by saying that Computer Wizards customer service is beyond what I would ask for. Everyone I spoke with was very knowledgeable and has patience explaining everything to me in a way that I could understand. I knew they have been around for awhile, but it took me numerous bad experiences elsewhere to finally take my systems there. They have fixed four systems for me, and have kept me informed through the entire process. Computer Wizards has been the choice computer shop for almost all my friends and family, and I have never heard a single negative thing. Sometimes it does take a little longer to get the job done, but they always let you know when they are backed up. Like i stated previously, they have been around the area for awhile, but they are becoming VERY well known. I STRONGLY reccomend those guys to anyone, for any electronic need.

Every experience Ive had at Computer Wizards has been great. It really shows that they do all that they can for their customers. As a KU student Ive consistently recommended them to my friends/fellow students who have had computer troubles because I know that they will be well taken care of and treated with respect. This is stark contrast to places like best buy or staples who treat you as if you were just a number in their database. They are also involved with events on campus. Without Computer Wizards, KUs Computer Science Clubs LAN party would have been impossible. Remember... They Can Fix That!!!!!!

Excellent Service-- I have used Computer Wizards many times over the past 6 years or more and I have never had a problem with their service. Their technicians are knowledgeable and their customer service is top notch. They do something that many other computer repair shops dont do. That is communicate and answer any and all question that you may have. I have seen the service of other shops and their prices and I have not been impressed. I will continue to go to Computer Wizards for all my computer needs and walk out smiling when my problems are fixed in a timely and cost effective manner!!!

Computer Wizards was recommended by a friend. After phoning and visiting the store I am happy to say well be returning. Chris made our visit and purchase a pleasure. We had a small issue with the purchase and Chris was *immediately* on it creating a resolution. Wow! Try to get that at a big box store. NOT! The service was personable, warm and friendly. Heres to Chris and his team . . . I recommend shopping with Computer Wizards!

I needed a part for a sony vaio laptop. They sold me the standard part for sony vaio, but it turned out my computer had a non standard part, go figure. When I took the part back they said they couldnt get the one I need, so they took the old one and the new one and combined them into what I needed. Oh and they did it free of charge. Ill be going back there for all of my computer needs from now on.

Quality work and service. Good prices on refurbished and new machines. Always has fixed any problems with any current computer of mine without a problem. The only negative I can think of is that service is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and this place is worth it. Chris is a great guy.

Im a computer scientist, and this is the first time in more than 30 years of computer ownership I took a machine in. Top notch place. They couldnt fix my laptop but were more than fair. If youre looking for a place that works for free, ask your Cousin Charlie. These guys are fair and honest.
