I have natural type 4 hair and this salon was suggested to me by a friend who has really long natural hair. I went to Harlem and she did a great job on my hair. Only Con is once my hair was blow dried I had to wait 1 hr before harlem finished up with another client so she can press my hair. I wasnt happy about waiting but the results was worth it! My hair has never been that straight and thats even when I used to have a relaxer! Im making an appointment to go this weekend but its hard to get weekend appointments especially at the last minute, I guess thats cause she is so good!

I have been to Harlems plenty of times and was satisfied in my relaxed hair days. but recently I went and suffered heat damage. I am not training my hair to be easily straightened. I loved my curls and now my hair looks like it had a relaxer put in. my suggestion is to use heat protection and to any natural going be sure to ask them to use one or leave. the girl blow drying used nothing to detangle my hair causing more damage. this is my last time coming to Harlems. I loved the ending results but my hair health is more important.

Ive beaten a customer here for a few years but honestly I think I will stop going now. the wait is ridiculous and for a simplep press and trim you will be out 4-5 his after your appt started. the sad part is they only ever have maybe 1-2 stylist working and even with not so many customers this place makes you wait all day. not to mention no one acknowledges you the entire time you are waiting. they just look an say nothing. I think this will be my last time at harlems
