When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we decided to use AAA to help us book our honeymoon because we were not at all experienced in traveling abroad and needed some guidance. When we first met our travel agent, we made sure to explain that we never traveled abroad and we that we were using a travel agent to make sure everything was done properly and nothing was overlooked. We also made the travel agent aware that my now husband was not an American citizen just in case that would affect anything. We were three weeks out from our wedding with everything needed for our honeymoon booked and paid for when one of my husbands relatives mentioned that he, not being an American citizen, may need a visa. Being unexperienced with traveling, this wasnt something we had known and this had never been mentioned by our travel agent. To make matters worse, as soon as AAA realized the issue, they wouldnt return our calls or emails. Three weeks before our wedding, we ended up having to cancel our booked honeymoon which caused us to lose thousands of dollars. We went as high up the ladder as possible and AAA ultimately took no blame for the incident.
