Ive been a customer of Monte and Sons for seven years now, since moving to Philadelphia. It was just luck that I called when when I had a car problem. Seven years later all I have is praise for Rick, Pete and company. They are honest, friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable. Their prices are fair and reasonable. They are truly the kind of family business that we all hope we will find, but rarely do. Their parents taught them well. I recommend them to anyone who even mentions cars to me.

By far my favorite place to take my car in the 15 years Ive been owning cars. The guys always make time to get my car in and out, even, as today, late in the afternoon on the day after a holiday. Theyll check the car over well, get the work done fast, and they are very affordable, too. Living in Mt. Airy, they are easy to get to, and theyve offered me a lift in the past if the car had to be there for a while. They are also right by the 23 and XH buses to get into town.

Ive been bringing my cars to Ricky and Pete for 18 years. I also have all of my work trucks serviced at Monte and Sons. Both my Boys bring their cars to Ricky. He and Pete have helped them make decisions on what first car to buy. Most of my employees also bring their cars to Ricky. I refuse to move from Mount Airy out of fear of losing my mechanic. Truly the best mechanic Ive ever had.

They wouldnt replace my spark plugs because they wanted to run a full diagnostic on the car see if anything else was wrong and then give a quote. Then they said they wouldnt use the premium plugs I bought from advanced auto because they only used their brand and their brand were the lower quality ones. Will never go back.

Straight up crooks. Took my car to one mechanic. He said I needed 2 tires to pass inspection but couldnt find them. I knew Mont es had found me tires before, so I went to them $600 to pass. Never again. Go see Bob at Gabriel Goodyear on ridge. Cars been running like a dream ever since for very reasonable prices.

Very honest and straightforward service from a family business. I brought my car in thinking it needed a new CV joint and they found it was a wheel bent by a pothole, and rather than try to sell me a new set of wheels they were able to repair it for one tenth what I thought it would cost. Highly recommended.

Rick and Pete run a good car repair shop. What I like most about them is that they repair what they say they are going to repair without any problems. They are friendly and take the time to explain to you what is wrong with your car. I have been using their shop now for 30 years. Wow!
