I just moved back into the Reading area, and I needed a new mechanic. Sadly, its always a problem to find an honest, reputable mechanic especially as a woman because we are often taken advantage of. With much trepidation, I took advantage of a coupon I received in the mail, checked for reviews online and found that Lee Myles on Lancaster Avenue had glowing reviews. This experience was incredible. For starters, I got smiles instead of gruff looks and grunts in answer to my questions. They sent me photos of my tire and the transmission fluid to confirm that I needed to replace the front tires and flush the transmission fluid both of which werent a surprise. The real surprise came when they found the source of the problem Ive been having with one wheel/tire ever since I bought the car from Tom Masano back in 2011. It leaked. I mentioned it to Appalachian Tire and Auto Service in Athens, OH where I lived at the time. I mentioned it twice because after they changed the tire (to fix it), it still leaked. They said maybe the aluminum was corroded; however, wasnt it their job to check and fix that sort of thing before putting on new tires? I had to refill the air in that tire every 2-3 weeks, then it was every week, then a mechanic said it seemed to be the tire pressure sensor and he put stuff around it to stop the leak. For the last 6-8 months, it has been leaking more and more frequently until I had to daily pump up the tire. Lee Myles found the source of the leak! It had a hairline crack in the tire pressure sensor, and they replaced it after calling to tell me about it. Wooohoooo! No more traveling with a bicycle pump in the car to pump my tire! When I went to pick up my car, I asked if they would show me what they did, not having had very good experiences in the past 5 years. Not only did they show me but did so with a smile and patience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lee Myles Transmissions and Auto Care to everyone and will be telling my family about them! Thank you ever so much guys for taking the fear and trepidation out of getting the car fixed. Youve got me as a customer for life! Deborah K.

On April 5th I dropped my van off for what I thought would be a quick check up and minor work to find out I needed work that added up to 1,200. While working on my car I (after having it for 8 days) I received a call on the 5th day that theyve found yet another problem which knocked my total to a whopping 1,933. I picked my vehicle up on April 15th only to drive it for 1 week and still experience the same issues that were supposed to be resolved. So April 26th Brad tells me to drop it off so they can take a "look at it" (mind you there were more than 1 errors that needed to be corrected that were supposed to be fixed after 2k was invested. He picked May 2nd as the date so I can be done in one day telling me it should be a quick fix, yet here I am on May 3rd after store hours, yet to even receive a courtesy call about my vehicle at the least! I stressed that that was my everyday vehicle to work and was told I wouldnt need a loaner because my vehicle would be next up an surely back to me in a short timely manner unlike the initial encounter. It is such an inconvenience and it makes me feel very unappreciated as a customer! I will be taking my car elsewhere after it is complete for a check up on the items I purchased and if doesnt checkout my attorney will be activated! Update: Coincidence or not, I just now get a call at 5:48 May 3rd (after store hours) after posting this earlier. Brad tells me his tech found something he didnt the first time due to the weather being cold and that things have been taken care of and my vehicle was ready for pick up. I am also still experiencing the one of the same issues I had before ever visiting. -Marcus Scott As of 6/1/17 I have had my car back for 3 days and it is running as expected, I also do feel as though they are trying to understand what exactly was the issue. Brad got into detail about the specifics he was researching about my make/model and made me feel as though my vehicle was a priority. Thank you for reaching out and responding to my comment and I will be re-rating.

Lee Myles never ceases to amaze and impress me. My family and I have been bringing our cars here for years, and we are always happy. Most recently, when I was driving home from work on a Friday, my car started making a horrible noise. I called Lee Myles, and they told me to bring my car over right away. Although they couldnt diagnose the problem immediately, I received a phone call early on Monday letting me know what the issue was and what the cost would be to fix it. I realized after we hung up the phone that I may still be under warranty. Instead of making me handle the phone calls and all the BS, Gabe offered to do it for me and took on the burden of fixing a dealerships mistake. I ended up taking my car to a Volvo dealer to have the repairs done (turns out the warranty was still active), but Gabe was such a HUGE help through the entire process. I will continue to take my car to Lee Myles, and I will encourage everyone that I know to do the same!!! Great place with great customer service! 5 enthusiastic stars :)

Well first off let me say that this place is very un organized and has no clue as to what is going on in their own shop. I dropped my car off to get a simple oil change and was promised my car back by 2pm. When ready to pick up my vehicle I spoke with brad and was told car is done and to head on over, when I got their I spoke with Darren at the front desk and told him Im picking up my vehicle. Darren told me he has no recollection of hearing about or seeing my vehicle. So brad and Darren both come to the front and they both try to figure out whats going on. Next they walk off and next thing I can hear them clearly talking about my car and how it was not done, and to top it off they called me annoying and laughed. I will never take my car to these clowns, so unprofessional and clueless to their surroundings & shop.

I cant say enough good things about Lee Myles and the owner Darren. I had my sons old car towed into his shop from AAA and right away I was greeted with patience and understanding and willingness to help me as a new customer. Darren even offered to "loan" out his extra car to my son, so he could get to and from work over the weekend while the car was being looked at, AT NO CHARGE. While the car was not worth the repairs it would take to get it back on the road, the friendliness and understanding from Darren and his staff allowed me to feel better about my decision with the car and know that I could count on him for my future car needs. I would recommend Lee Myles Transmission and AutoCare to anyone and everyone! thank you Darren!
