My husband joined the MMA Academy a few months ago, I myself am not to experienced with the knowledge of martial arts, my husband competed for the first time 3 months after signing up, and he won. Professor Pereira encourages his students all the way and leaves them not only with the techniques, skills, and training that they need and want, but also with the confidence that they will win. It has been such an amazing experience I recently registered my 3 boys (ages 12,9,6) they are learning so much so quick but as a mother the best part is the respect, organization, punctuation, and discipline that they now carry upon themselves.

Ive been attending classes at Professor Pereiras school for awhile now, and Ive never felt better! A while back I got into Mauy Thai and I loved it, but as a smaller guy I thought it was important to supplement it with some kind of grappling discipline. I did some research and quickly realized Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was for me. Imagine how excited I was to find a place that offered both AND a full gym (Ive been trying to get in all around better shape as Im getting married in a few months). I was able to get in on a special (there isnt a regularly posted price) which meant I pay $80 per month plus cost of my gear. Although the upfront investment is a lot, once youre through with that you get some incredible value. Think of it like this: For about what you would pay at a higher-end gym like Golds, you get the workout space with the same equipment youd be using there, a class full of people at every skill level who will welcome you and walk with you, options for classes in MMA, boxing, Mauy Thai and jiu jitsu, a Thursday workout group, and the chance to learn crucial self-defense skills while getting into the best shape of your life! By joining youre also becoming part of a global community of practitioners and have the chance to learn some of the most tried and true combat sports around. Professor hails from Brazil and cut his teeth with some of the greatest fighters on the planet. He is very knowledgeable and challenges me to be better and stronger every day. Not only do I feel better when I train, I feel more in control of my body and mind. Im so much more relaxed and focused and I generally just enjoy life more. If youre just getting into martial arts or are looking to branch out, this place is worth hitting up.

After my sons MMA debut, I loved that Professors post fight talk reinforced the importance of strength of character, humility and respect, rather than just discussing the physical conquest. This is what distinguishes Professor Robson in my eyes. I see him not only as a trainer of serious fighters, but also as an excellent teacher for anyone who is trying to improve themselves in life. He has trained many fighters, some with even national and world records, but he also teaches self defense and makes fitness fun. He has worked with children as well as troubled youth, helping to turn many lives around with discipline and hard work. We feel very fortunate to have access to world class training right here in Sinking Spring. Professor Robson has been recognized with National Hall of Fame for his own accomplishments as a professional fighter and for his coaching abilities. As soon as we came, my son immediately felt he had become part of the family he had been looking for. I am filled with gratitude for these experiences which we will never forget! Thank you!!!

My experience here so far has been stellar. Excellent learning structure and plenty of attention towards newer students. As rough as sparring looks, there is great etiquette involved and everyone is very respectful. The first few days were tough, but every day afterwards has gotten a little easier. My endurance is much better. A little history about me. ive cut one of my fingers off, I have screws in my back and 3 fused vertebrae, I have pins and a rod in my ankle. I was also a 2 pack a day smoker for over a decade, and Ive lived in pain for YEARS. If I can do this then anyone can. I decided to make a decision to better myself physically and mentally and joining this gym was on of the best decisions Ive made. I can actually move around now. My back and my leg feel so much better. All I needed was to get active and stay active. Join this gym, learn these arts, learn what it means to have heart. It IS a challenge, but it is well worth it.. this will be one of the best decisions youve made in years.

Ask yourself what you want. If you want professional, personal, affordable. I found professional in Professor Pereira. I came in, asked questions, felt comfortable. In classes, from small children to myself in my 40s, EVERYONE has an option to learn. The speed you learn though, is up to you. The training, the workouts, are all there IF you are WILLING to commit and put the time in. Team Pereira MAKES it personal. Affordable yes. This is not Planet Fitness or Golds people. There are no mirrors. You may get hurt. Its called the MMA Acadamy for good reason. To get ALL of the disciplines under ONE roof, there is no comparison for the dollar. Here, there are NO individuals. You put in the effort, but EVERYONE learns, is rewarded, and whether you just want to learn and get fit, or train and compete, there is UNLIMITED potential in my eyes. In the short time I have been here and part of the team, I have no regrets. I will only get out what I put in. The rest is up to you.

I was looking to get back into martial arts after being out of it for over 8 years. Ive been training here for almost a month. But first I had some criteria that I was looking for. 1st thing is the culture of the school, Professor Pereria and the MMA academy team are amazing and always willing to help me when I have questions or offer that extra push when needed. 2 - The knowledge of the instructor - Professor Pereira has a ton of knowledge that hes able to explain to all levels of students. 3 - The workouts, theyre awesome, I havent had the same one since I started, little variations that keep things fresh and interesting. Im seriously addicted to this place I cant say enough great things. Thanks Team Pereira!

I recently joined MMA Academy and have loved my experience thus far! Professor Pereira is incredibly knowledgable, welcoming, and genuine. He is committed to helping each of his students attain their individual goals while fostering a team atmosphere. As a new student, I felt welcomed and got plenty of attention to bring me up to speed. The studio itself is clean, bright, and fully equipped with all of the bags, mats, cages, and equipment you could ever want to train with. I joined MMA Academy in particular because of the authentic training experience that I knew it would provide. I have gotten stronger, learned a ton, and am excited to continue on my journey. I recommend MMA Academy wholeheartedly!
