Well, cant say I know what kind of work they do, because they wouldnt even give me a quote. Allow me to explain: Called today explaining my cars situation, and he gave me the 90 dollar price tag for the diagnostic and explained that we could then go from there and figure out what it exactly needed. Sounded fair so far, average price for a full diagnostic, but when I asked him what a full rebuild would be (that being worst case scenario) he refused to give me a quote. Haha I am laughing while writing this because he said quote "I dont like to quote hypotheticals" I tried explaining to him that I am a college student just making sure I am getting a fair price and he said "yea Im on disability, Im on social security--that doesnt change what needs to happen to the car!" I calmly restated that getting a quote for worse case scenario would just ensure that I could afford any further services that he would offer. He then said, quote, "Yea well you could take it to another transmission shop then and call back and tell me that it didnt need a full rebuild, and, nope, just never served me in the past" Well dang dude, guess your prices arent that good and you know it enough to make sure you get my 90 dollars first. Also makes you sound like a liar. Pretty stupid business tactic and so rude I was surprised. Haha guess he needed those 90 dollars bad today, was trying to strong arm me. Or maybe he was too busy and decided to be a jerk to alleviate some of his business. Who knows. Regardless, I hope you read this; Ive got some business tips for you; 1) People like price transparency 2) If you cant beat the nearby transmission shops prices (which it would appear would be the case as you get really defensive about), then explain to your customers why Broadway Transmission would be the better place to go, even if it costs more. 3) Be courteous and professional so you dont get bad google reviews

**RIP OFF ALERT** BROADWAY TRANSMISSON I made an appointment to with Broadway Transmission to look over my trucks transmission. I took my truck down on a Sunday night. My appointment was for Monday. Monday came and went with no phone call. I had to call them to get the status of my truck. I was told that they were waiting on a bay to open up. It was the end of the business day on Monday. They didnt know if I had another vehicle or if I wasnt relying on that truck to get me to work on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went with no phone call. I had my wife to take me down to Broadway Transmission to take back my truck. When I got there, the employee told me he didnt have access to the key for my truck and he couldnt write me up an invoice because he didnt perform the work on my truck. By his own admission there was no work was done only a test drive by the owner. The employee tried to call the owner but got no answer. So my truck had to stay there another day. I finally received a call from the owner Wednesday morning. He basically told me he couldnt find anything wrong but he admitted he only took it for a ride and that was basis that he determined the truck transmission was find. No testing or diagnostics and he charged me $95.00 for a test drive. What a rip off.

Beware of taking your business here as you may get more out of the repair then what you asked for. We took our 2002 Dodge Ram in to replace the transmission, during the replacement the communication was poor to say the least, had to leave messages with snail like return calls to update on the progress. When my husband took the truck on the initial test drive the owner diagnosed the truck as needing a new transmission not anything to do with the exhaust as there was no issue. The transmission was replaced finally and when we did pick up and pay the balance of close to $4000.00, there was a new noise coming from the exhaust system that wasnt present when dropping it off. The mechanics response was we are not responsible for the new damage to your exhaust, it is because your truck is rusted. When speaking to the owner about the new issue his response was we were responsible to take the truck to an exhaust business to prove they did the damage and maybe they would reimburse. Thanks Broadway we now have to repair damage that occurred while you were repairing it.

Hey, Jacob from Broadway Transmission here - heres another happy customer; actually, happy person, but we didnt even do work for them! Heres the quote: "I just got off the phone with Broadway Transmissions. I have a slight problem thats been with the car for 5 years. They told me 800 to 1200 dollars to fix it. They also told me that as it is, I can probably get by without fixing it.Another place I went to gave me a sales pitch to talk me into a 2400 dollar repair. They had dire predictions of what would happen if I didnt get it fixed soon. The other time I delt with Broadway we did need a transmission replaced. They beat the other quotes, and sometime later gave me a break on a needed repair even though it was out of warrenty. The only drawback is that they have quite a backlog of work, which is probably due to the fact that they have a solid reputation." Eric Lowe You can find the review at the PennLive business finder website. Thanks Eric, we strive to be honest in all aspects of service and we appreciate your business!

I took my truck to Broadway Transmission for am installation of a reman from Honda. I got two other estimates and they were the cheapest of the three. They were able to do the job within the time frame that told me within reason. This is the second job they have done for me. Their offer of some financing is something that you do not find anywhere - it is free. Two days after I picked up my car I went out to start it and it would not start. On the telephone I got with Jacob thinking it was something based in the work he did. Saturday morning at 10 am he arrives at my house (yes I said at my house), diagnosis and short-term fixes my issue. It in fact had nothing to do with his job though. Yes Broadway is a small shop, when the telephone rings, someone stops and answers the telephone, when another car is on the lift, yours is not. If this is a problem for your needs, I understand, if you want the attention you deserve and the work done well, visit them.

Best place to get work done.... I had a trans go out on my Ford 500 and they were able to find one at a very good price and replaced it for me.. They had problems getting the trans and the trucking company sent the wrong trans and Broadway Trans went to the dock to get my trans themselves so that they could get me back on the road asap.. Also when they were done installing the trans they even delivered it to my house which is 45 minutes away at no additional charge.... I was very surprised that they did this and they went above and beyond what was required of them.... Brian is great to deal with !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
