On the worst possible week and with an important interview just 2 days away my Kia Sadona broke down with a bad alternator. In a tough spot and with no time to spare I called York Kia. They quoted me 600.00 dollars and 3 days for an appointment. Then I called my regular mechanic shop and was quoted 380.00 and an appointment the next day which could have worked. However In a last ditch effort I remembered Kars garage because it always looks so well kept when I drive by the name came to mind and I called them. Frank the owner answered the phone and he was very polite and professional. I first asked if I could bring my own alternator because I was in a hurry and a local auto parts store had one in stock although I will say if I had the time to spare Frank was right in line with the price I was getting from the parts store. Recognizing my urgency he offered an appointment and was totally understanding about me bringing the part. Upon arriving I was immediately impressed with the clean accommodating waiting room complete with TV, magazines, coffee and spring water. The pride of owner ship is obvious right away, Not only did Frank save the day the total job was still 70.00 dollars cheaper then my mechanic I have used for years. The job was finished in a timely manner and they even give you an updated recall list for your model when they are done. Like all places they look your car over and let you know other things that need fixed. What sets Kars apart is Franks professionalism and no pressure approach to mentioning the things you vehicle needs. Instead of feeling like I was being sold on extra work I trusted the assessment and welcomed an estimate on the varies things they found while repairing my vehicle. Frank was nice enough to break it down in to logical estimates so I can decide what and when to take care of the few things they found. Based on my experience today I would recommend Kars to everyone in the area. I would also mention that I would have no problem trusting my wife would be treated just as fairly as I was today just based on the care and effort made in the cleanliness of the waiting room and Franks wonderful disposition. My only regret is not meeting trying them sooner!

My son was going away to college and had 2 leaking tires which we proceeded to take to NTB on Sunday. My son was leaving in 2 days. NTB tried to tell us there were many things wrong with the vehicle, not tire related, and the tires that they did look at were not even the tires we were having issues with. They wanted to charge us an exorbitant amount of money to fix all the issues. Im not so sure they werent the ones who implanted nails in the wrong tires as they looked like shiny new nails which forced us to purchase new tires. In a panic, I called Kars who are our regular mechanics and they graciously fit us into their schedule at last minute, addressed the issues that were brought to our attention and did so in a very honest and helpful manner. My son was on the road to college in time, and I felt rest assured he was going to make it there as Kars took the time to go over the car, explained everything to us in detail, was very polite and courtesy and did not charge the exorbitant amount of money that NTB was going to charge. I would highly recommend Kars.

I took my car in for a simple oil change only to be haggled about flushing fluids, changing filters, replacing bulbs. Once I said no....he continued to make me feel like my car wouldnt survive if I didnt have these things taken care of. Why were they looking at such things when I just wanted an oil change? I asked what the total would be with these things being done....$162.00! Again I said no. He showed me a filter and yes, it was dirty, he said that would just be $5.00. My total bill for an oil change and this filter was $60...I used a $20.00 off coupon. So all in all this was not a pleasant experience for me. I will also like to state that I had a scheduled appointment and was there 1 1/2 hours....for a simple oil change. Highly disappointed. I will not be returning there for anything coupon or not.

Poor-Fair is too generous, my rating would be less than poor. The service at this shop is sub par and the mechanical work is horrible. After spending 1000$+ on a repair, my vehicle is having more issues than what I started with. The prices here are outrageous, higher than dealership prices. I was told that they specialize in my make of vehicle and after seeing the quality of work I highly disagree. You live and learn I suppose and I definitely will not be using this business for any other services. As stated in previous reviews RUN RUN RUN! They are an overpriced rip off and will only cause more damage to your vehicle.

During the last snow/ice storm my truck’s brake lines were badly damaged by an errant chunk of ice, and my truck lost almost all braking ability (they were also badly corroded after only 10 years of use). Since this is my only vehicle, I was in distress. KARS scheduled me quickly, was able to provide a detailed estimate and performed the repair quickly and carefully with better parts than the original. Brakes work better now than they did before the ice damaged the brake lines. As a side note, this was the cleanest automotive facility I’ve ever been in, and the office staff and technicians were courteous and honest.

I am so glad I have found Kars to bring my cars for inspections. I used to bring it down the road but each time it cost me more and more money. I always felt there was a little dishonesty going on but what do I know about cars. I have been bringing both of my automobiles to Kars now for a few years and it hasnt cost me anywhere close to what it cost at the other place. I feel like they are very honest and they are very friendly when you get service done. Hopefully I never need other repairs done but Kars will definitely get my business if I do! Good Job guys!!

I moved just over a year ago, so I needed a new place that I could take my vehicles to for repairs and regular maintenance. Kars is only a half mile from my house so I decided to start there. After service from as simply as annual inspections to 90,000 miles service on my vehicles, I see no reason to go elsewhere. They are courteous, accommodating, and they communicate with me before they perform any work. As far as their pricing, from my experience, it seems reasonable. I would recommend Kars to anyone.

got my vehicle inspected here a few times, one time I needed tires, I dont think they are on the rims correctly because I have to put air in one of them quite often, also got a battery there, was suppose to last 6 years, it lasted 4 and when I replaced it somewhere else they said my battery was wrong for my vehicle. I dont think I will go back, they are always trying to sell me stuff I dont need and since the battery and tire issue, my trust level is low
