I bought a car back in September of 2015, but just now got around to posting this review. Since this is 6 months ago, take it with a grain of salt. Some things may have changed: I was extremely underwhelmed by one member of the sales team. Omari, the salesman assigned to me, was forgetful and made answers up to my questions. I asked him how often the map in the Kia Soul would need updating. He said every six years. I looked it up myself, and updates are released much more often than that. Once I had taken the car home I said the Navigation system did not identify two specific addresses. I sent them to him. He lied and said it did in the Kias they had on the lot. One of the addresses I gave him was nonexistent. It couldnt possibly have been found. He lied (perhaps unknowingly) to my dad about there not being a military discount, not once but twice. Eventually his manager Scott came out and told us there was one after we had to press for it during negotiations. Omari said the financial papers would be a ten minute wait. We waited for over an hour. During this longer than expected wait, Omari did not come back and check on us or update us even once. We had to go and find the information for ourselves.I would overlook this if he had other clients and was busy.Often times I saw him on his phone or wandering around. I did not see him with ANY other customers the entire time we were at the dealership. Once I did pick a car, I had to hold his hand through the process. Omari there are streaks on my car even after it was washed. Omari when could I get the pin stripes put on? Omari did you remove the license plates from my trade in vehicle? Omari did you put in the Navigation chip? Omari could I have the spare set of keys? One of the worst parts was that we had made plans to put the pin stripes on my new car on Wednesday and confirmed those plans twice on the previous Saturday my father and I bought the car. I also requested door guards multiple times. Omari said he would check with the part shop on Monday for the door guards. My dad shows up on Wednesday morning just as he said he would and shocker Omari was nowhere to be found. No pinstripes or door guards for me and instead a waste of my fathers time. I later rescheduled with his manager and got the door guards the next weekend. I dont want anyone to think Omari was rude or unkind. He was very personable, and maybe he was just having an off day. But I found him to be somewhat incompetent and ill-informed about the cars he was selling. He has potential as a salesman, but he needs to care more about his customers and be proactive in assisting them. We did get a good deal on a car, but after 4 hours of gnashing teeth and pulling hair. If you go to Koons Kia be prepared to spend a significant amount of time there perhaps while feeling frustrated.

After spending 90 minutes @ Nationwide Kia in Timonium, MD listening to a laundry list of excuses on why they couldnt deliver on a new Kia Optima with the price that was quoted in no less than 14 emails between myself, the internet sales rep, and the sales manager, I left the dealership in a bad mood and headed to my back-up plan that was Koons Kia in Owings Mills. The level of trust, service, and profissionalism between the two dealerships was night/day. I was given a price that was negotiated through email, never had any "back and forth" with the sales manger to haggle and actually never dealt with anyone except our sales rep (Paula) and ultimately the finance person who was also incredibly nice... From the time we walked in until the time the deliver was complete, including the trade-in of our existing car, everything, including financing was completed and we were on the road in right around 90 minutes. I commented to my wife that I should have trusted the dealership that explained everything and was honest over the chop shop that is Nationwide Kia that quoted a price (many times; and confirmed the exact car many many times) and tried the play the classic shell-game when I arrived to close the deal~ A HUGE Thank-You to the sales manager Wendy Aston and her team at Koons Kia/Volvo in Owings Mills for everything they did, including staying and working hard well after closing time to get us our new car... Hope its a great holiday and Ill be sure to let everyone know about both our experience with you, as well as the one with the other guys up in Towson! Thanks, JB.

I had a hassle free experience with the service department. I called in a service appointment on Friday December 13, 2013 at 7:45 pm to have the fuel pressure regulator in my 2000 Volvo S40 replaced. The appointment was for Saturday December 14, 2013 at 8 am. I arrived 8:20 am Saturday morning and Laura /Rachel Barnes processed my request within minutes. The notes from my previous service appointment on November 5, 2013 and my call on December 13, 2013 were already updated in the system. Bruce Silvers is my usual Service Advisor but he was not in today. Laura /Rachel Barnes provided the same level of service as if I was dealing with Bruce. Once I left to take care of business, I received email alerts and two phone calls as to what was going on with my car and when it was ready. I dropped my car off for service at 8:20 am and my car was ready at 10:20 am. Also, my car was to receive a car wash. Laura/Rachel Barnes was considerate enough to call me and let me know that due to the inclement snow and rain today, a car wash was not advisable today. I picked up my car at 2:45 pm and was back on the road again. Today was another service visit that was outstanding. Koons Volvo has done ALL my major service repairs and I trust no one other than the Volvo technicians to touch my car. Thanks to the technicians and to the service advisors, the reason why my car is STILL on the road is because of ACCURATE diagnosis and RELIABLE repairs. Keep up your excellent work! My P0#: C82814

This is the best KIA dealership in the area, by FAR! I had been wanting a KIA Soul for many months. I was waiting and waiting for what i owed on my current car to be less than the Kelly Blue Book value. I thought I was at that point a few months back so I went to Kia in Timonium. I stated I wanted a new Kia Soul, I was told they had them. When i got there i was told they only had used souls but not to worry because the mileage was only 1700. When I got in the vehicle for my test drive I saw the speedometer read 17,000 miles- BIG DIFFERENCE!! I was told by the sales clerk that I would get the remainder of the 10 yr 100k mile warranty though (turned out that wasnt true either!!). Well after sitting down to crunch the numbers and back and forth with the sales man and the manager both not listening to what I could afford I left thinking that I would not be getting a new car anytime soon. Then I found Koons Kia- they were AMAZING!! Tom Little worked with me over email and phone to assure me that they would work with what I could afford. Mike Williams (Manager) emailed me the day of my appointment and told me they were looking forward to making me a fabulous offer. Boy did they deliver. About 90 minutes after I came in, I was pulling out in a brand new 2012 Kia Soul!! Everyone was a joy to work with. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car!!
