Prior to bringing my business to Firestone on N. Main st in Providence, RI, I did research on the company. The reviews were so/so and the estimate was affordable for replacement tires. Upon entering the shop, I recieved very nice service from all the employees except for one. A black gentleman that I cannot recall a name. They told me the service would be about an hour and it turned into 3. That was fine. There were a few additional charges to my bill, which were also fine. It was not until the service was finished and I went to my car that I discover that an employee had further damaged an already slightly broken window. The window was moved off of its alignment and stuck into the frame. When I approached this gentleman who was a bit nasty with me earlier, he claimed that the damage could not have been done by one of his employees. I had prior adjusted the window so that if it needed to be adjusted up or down that whoever was driving it would have no problems. He did not approach me in a professional manner with the issue and proceeded to try and move the window into its place. This caused further damage and the window would not move up or down. I understand that things like this happen with vehicles. But it was not that way when I brought it to the shop and Firestone was only supposed to replace tires. I was a bit taken back when the gentleman responded rudely by saying "Well I dont know what to tell you, but it is supposed to rain tonight." My feelings were very hurt because I only brought my concern to him to help me out with the matter. Although, for the most part i was pleased with the service, I would not wish anyone to have to deal with the same issues I under went with this Firestone. I would not recommend anyone I know to seek service from this particular Firestone. They need to re-evaluate customer service skills.

DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRESTONE. LOOK AT MY REVIEW AND THE REST OF THE REVIEWS. This is the horrible place of business. I came to do an oil change. They called me saying I need a new oil pan. I said no thank you cause I didnt have the funds to do it at the moment I needed to come back that weekend when I did have the funds. The employee is was rude when I told him no thank you. Saying you should do it and it will not be our fault if all your oil comes out. I come back to do the oil pan and the left my two front tire lug nuts loose! Putting my life and my familys life in danger! I caught one tire a few days after. Then a month after the other tire was missing 3 lug nuts and the last two were looses. (Firestone was the last people to deal with my tires). I came in spoke with the manager jay and he was extremely rude about the situation. I will never come back and never recommend them neither.

After not being satisfied with my current car repair shop I took a friends advice and decided to try Firestone where she has taken her car for the past 2 years. I received a courteous greeting right when I walked in the door and was informed that the inspection on my brakes would be complete within the hour. I dropped off my car and 30 minutes later they called me with a completed inspection. They let me know what it would cost to fix my brakes; were able to work within my budget; and informed me of some other services on my car which were about to be do. Very professional and I am very pleased! This is where I will be bringing my car in the future.

This is the worst experience that I have had since owning a car. The staff here does not know what they are talking about. I received one quote, waited over an hour, to find out that the tire that I needed was not in the store. I was asked to wait over an hour for another tire to be delivered and then 30 mins to install the tire. This was all after I was told my car would be done in 30 mins.... I cannot stand this place and would not recommended it to anyone. Oh, and when I came back, the guy would not honor my quote from the day before and it took forever... Thanks Firestone!!!

Some of the employees are friendly, but overall I was appalled by the service. My bad experience began with a mischeduled appointment. I understand that this happens, and a "were sorry for the inconvenience" would have been more than enough. However, the staff member who assisted me was indifferent and rude. He not only stayed on the phone with his girlfriend the entire time, but actually refused to hang up the phone when I suggested that his personal conversation with his "sweetie" was distracting. After my recent experience at Firestone, I will probably never return.

Very rude and unprofessional service. I ran a state inspection a month ago. They told me to replace three parts: body joints, engine leak and tire alignment. Fail my inspection and give a $1500 repair suggestion. I can believe that and go to another place to inspect the same day, you know what, I got passed! I also looked thru the prices and labor fee of those parts, its 3 times more expensive than others. I would never go to any firestone store. Very bad experience. Your money you decision.

I had used Firestone in Georgia Avenue, MD so when I moved to Providence. I went to Firestone. They had all my car info - 1997 Honda Civic - and always did a great job for a fair price. What I liked is that when I moved they had all the info on my car. That was a nice touch. Im not a car guy so I dont know if theyre the cheapest or the best but their prices were always fair and when I had something fixed or maintained, I never had any problems.

After driving 4 hours from NY I arrived in RI with brakes that were SCREAMING! I took the car to Dave and Luis and they were SO NICE and SO HELPFUL! They even called me a cab so that I could make it back to my conference and not miss anything. The car was inside before the cab arrived and done shortly thereafter. When I returned to pick the car up, it was ready to go. I didnt have to wait. The experience was almost enjoyable :) THANK YOU!!!

PLEASE READ THIS to save yourself money, time and bitterness. This company will deceive you. They automatically apply $80 of "suggested repairs" (changing brake fluid) without letting you know that it will cost extra. They are sneaky. It is very dishonest of them. Id suggest not going, as to not support such a dishonest company, but if you must be VERY AWARE of the "suggested repairs".

I went in for new tires and brake service on a small, older Ford sedan. I came away $900 poorer. If I had accepted all the additional service they recommended, I would have come away $1300 poorer (more than the blue book value of the car, I might add). Theyre a chain, and they arent going to cut you any deals. Be wary of all the extras they recommend.

Be there for 3 times, and I run into problems twice. They always wanted me to spend a lot of money than I actually need. They even broke a small part of my car when they did the "courtesy check ". I spend two and a half hours just change one tire because of that. Avoid this place forever, if you dont want your hard-earned money stolen by them.
