BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! They are the WORST! HORRIBLE! I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau! DO NOT hire or contract this moving company. First, it supposedly took the company almost 40 minutes to drive 2.4 miles (which I was charged for). I understand it was raining but it does not take 40 minutes to drive 2.4 miles in the worst conditions. Then, I prepaid 3 hours for 3 men and only two showed up. The manager/owner gave me this sob story about how two of his employees were in a car accident and couldn’t come to work (which was a lie because I overheard one of the movers saying that they called out bc they didn’t want to work), but miraculously, about an hour later a third man showed up. So while I was trying to clear this situation time was running on my dime and no one was doing anything (another 30-35 minutes wasted). Since I only prepaid for 3 hours, they only wanted to work for that time. They said they had another job scheduled at 11:00 and had to go. THAT’S NOT MY PROBLEM. I paid them to move me not to tell me you only paid three hours. We can’t take this we can’t take that. Long story short, they worked for a total of about an hour and 15 mins and only moved my bedroom set! I PAID almost $400.00 to have a bedroom set moved about a mile. They also ruined the ceiling at my new place, ruined my neighbors sprinkler. I was furious. I called demanding to speak to some, but could not get anyone to listen to my complaint. I was refunded a measly $40.00. Moving is hard enough and they made my experience horrifying. So I paid for an almost 40 minute “joy-ride) another 30 to 35 minutes of back and forth because they can’t get their story strait. I paid for 2 men the first hour (and only one worked for about 10-15 mins of that hour and brought down bed railings). And for 3 men the next two hours and only 2 worked. After all of this, I had to hire another company to move me and pay $350.00 to have them move me. a moving company should never tell anyone we don’t have time we can’t take this. I was told it was a two hour minimum and any extra time would be more. I was fine with that. I wasn’t fine with being told you only paid 3 hours and we have another job so we can’t take your stuff. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are dishonest, unprofessional, and just the worst company ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We moved on Jan, 13 of 2017. I rarely post reviews online but felt compelled to do so after our amazing experience with Lawton Moving and Storage company. We had an extremely complicated moving situation. We had to move out of a large house in RI (4 stories high), and organize and store things in two categories; half the things would eventually go to a condo in Boston, the other half would go into a storage facility in Needham. The movers handled this seamlessly and everything was labeled and organized perfectly. When we finally moved into our condo, the movers had to bring the things going to the condo, stop at the storage facility first and pick up things that were going to Boston and then handle a move in the heart of the city. They were amazing and it took them less time than we expected. We also had Lawton Movers empty out our storage facility and repack it correctly since it was a mess and we couldnt get to any of our things. I would highly, highly recommend this company and if we ever have to move again, we would use them in a heartbeat!

Lawton Moving & Storage provided excellent service! In advance of our move, administratively, they were communicative, easy to work with, and transparent. Thank you Tom! On the day of our move, the 3 movers - Rick, Matt, and Ukeme - arrived on time and were absolutely fantastic. They were efficient, careful, gentle, kind, and both serious and had a good sense of humor. They finished in less time than expected, they charged us fairly, and nothing was damaged. In fact, once we saw them get started and how well they worked together, we were quickly put at ease and just tried to stay out of their way. We had a 100% positive experience and are extremely grateful to Lawton, Tom, Rick, Matt, and Ukeme. I highly recommend Lawton Moving & Storage.

Lawton Moving & Storage provides awful service. We received our furniture damaged and many smaller times that were packed professionally in wrapping paper were yet broken. There was a very solid coffee table that survived many previous moves undamaged (including one transatlantic move) but Lawton managed to knock of two of its legs and scratch and splinter the wood all over. Upon contacting Lawton they simply rejected any sort of responsibility and the manager was frankly just rude. Never again.

Lawton moved us on 2/19/16. We moved from W. Geenwich to Warwick. The 3 men that moved us were very professional, and quilted all our furniture. They worked very hard and quick, we moved to a 3rd floor apartment. I would definitely recommend Lawton Moving & Storage. I also used them 2 months ago from Warwick to Lakeville, MA. They are a very professional moving company.

Ive used Lawton Movers to move me twice over a 10-year span. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tremendous continuity, with one crew head employed for 20-25 years. They delivered, both professionally and figuratively. No drama, no surprises. Provided the option of a 3- or 4-man crew and a timeframe and price estimate that was spot-on! I moved last on 1/24/17

Lawton moved us about 2 weeks ago. I want to thank them for a great job they did moving us from Pawtucket to Warwick. The men were polite and professional. We will definitely use them again the future.

Beware, this company is the worst moving company I ever used, they scratched and broke lots of my stuff and refused to admit up to it. Than just gave me the runaround on fixing the damage items.
