Avoid these people and please read all the negative reviews! My wife and I took our Honda Accord in for a routine oil change. We get home only to find motor oil has leaked out of our car onto the garage floor. I called Ed at the AAA store and he ask us to bring it back as soon as possible. My wife stopped by so they could check the problem and was told the axle seal was leaking and the oil wasnt coming from the oil change. This was a repair they could do for 200 bucks! She was talked to like she was stupid the way most car places treat women when she questioned how this could happen just 2 days after getting the oil changed and a clean bill of health. I thought these really nice guys at the counter were different but obviously they are just sales people working to benefit themselves. Please dont be fooled by the nice folks in this outfit. So, I decided to take the car to the Local Honda dealer for a second opinion and boy am I glad I did. The oil underneath the car was just a mess from not cleaning it up after spilling oil all over it during the oil change. As for the seal leaking that AAA said was the problem, this was just a lie to scam a lady out of an unneeded repair. I am never going back there again, canceling my family membership to AAA and making sure to tell everyone how bad these folks really are. I was about to get my insurance quoted from these crooks so glad to figure this out before my assets were at stake under their watch.

All AAA personnel were pleasant and responsive, but the shop worked on my car for nine days and could not get it to run. Your shop apparently charged me for a "diagnosis", but did not learn what to fix. They replaced a lot of parts, and wanted to replace the PCV valve. This car doesnt have a PCV valve, and if they never got the engine running, its not likely that they could diagnose a crankcase ventilation deficiency. My bill was not well itemized, but the labor and parts were shown separately. I dont feel that I should have been charged for labor that did not produce results, and I suspect that many of the parts were not needed. After I paid the bill in order to get the car released for moving it to another shop, I remembered that you had sent me a coupon for a $20 rebate on any service costing more than $150. I went back to your counterman and was told that the transaction had been closed, and the coupon could not be honored. AAA tow service picked it up from your shop and I had it delivered to another shop I have had good results with previously. I will let you know how that comes out.

Woke up, car wont start. Saturday. Call AAA have them tow it to this shop (Ive come here before) Fuel pump needs replacing...There are several jobs before mine. Im in a panic because I have a critical appt on Mon and they might not be able to get the job done. But they are going to try. They drop me off at home and tell me they will let me know. I get a call that they are staying late to finish my car. They come and pick me up. Shop is closed up, lights out but for two guys and the mechanic that stayed to pick me up! Job done, guaranteed, for 150 less than the estimate! Talk about service! They went above and beyond to make sure I got taken care of and could get on my way. This is why Im an AAA member (of course the tow was covered) and why I now get my car serviced at AAA shops.

Being from North Carolina, my family and I were down in Greenville for a day, our car broke down and the tow truck driver took it here. All they did was replaced the top dead center sensor and charged a "fair" price of 526, which included 109 for a diagnostic test, a service which is free at many auto parts stores. The parts cost was $100 and the job was 2.5 hours. After all that, they did not even replace the valve cover gasket, which is as any one who knows anything about vehicles knows, is very poor workmanship. Furthermore, the staff were rude and had no explanation for the charges and with out a doubt took advantage of our family during a time of crisis. I would sooner abandon my car on the side of the road then take it to this shop again.

I usually take my car to this office because I am a AAA member and receive a discount to get my oil changed. Making an appointment is pretty effortless, which I like. Every time I take my car there they find at least 2 things wrong with it at an astronomical price. I always get a second opinion at my mechanic and usually what they expect to be wrong with it is completely wrong, and if they are right my mechanic can fix it for half the price of AAA. I would understand if that happened once in a while, but its every time, and they tell me its a life or death situation, and I cant get out of there with a proposed bill under $1,200. I will no longer be using their services, and I wont be recommending them at all.

I also had my car towed here by AAA. Their diagnosis and solution would have cost $1400. After checking with a friend who has worked on Chevys for years he suggested a much cheaper although POSSIBLY only short term solution which amounted to simply changing out a fuse. AAA Care Care still charged me $100 for this task (they had previously told me there wouldnt be a diagnostic fee unless I had to leave the car overnight) but 6 months later things are still running fine. Maybe the work they suggested will need to be done eventually but then again, maybe not. Definitely dont have work done here without getting a second opinion!

My car would not start so I had it towed to the AAA Car Care Center thinking they might be reputable. Dont be fooled by the nice guys at the front desk - They quoted $500 to replace my starter. Other quotes were less than half this. Had it towed to another repair shop and had repairs done for $230. AAA said the part alone was $245. this is just pure and simple price gouging. Still had to pay for the diagnostics $106 (pretty much knew it was the starter since all battery checks had been done.) Where was the 10%discount???? SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! DONT GO HERE!

AAA Car Care Center on Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville, SC has maintained my car for four years now. The car, a 2001 Mercury Sable, was in fair shape when I first brought it in to be serviced. Now the car is in excellent shape thanks to AAA Care Car Center. I feel they are honest and will try to help you keep your car as long as possible. The staff has been more than accommodating in helping me maintain my car. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Thank you, to the entire shop and staff.

They disassembled part of our car not related to what we brought it in for, WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, and then gave a quote of nearly a thousand dollars to put it back together with new parts. Only after major threats did they put it back together the way it was when we drove it in. We had it towed to a family owned shop who fixed the problem for less than $300 We will never ever recommend anyone use AAA Carolinas. There were some good employees there in the past but they dont stay long.
