Misdiagnosed A/C Problem, High Prices For Some Parts & Wont Let You Watch Work. My opinion is that any auto repair shop that wont allow customers to watch their mechanics work on your car is a place to avoid. They wanted to replace my cars expansion valve, evaporator, and dryer to fix an A/C leak problem. I went to a Lexus specialist and got a second opinion. He found a pressure switch that was leaking. On 4/10/09, Carolina Car Care would have charged me about $900 more than my specialist to try to fix my A/C, and it would still have leaked! Their estimate for other work and the A/C totalled $2,294.34 parts and labor at $74 per hr.. A local Toyota Dealers total was $2,046.55 at $90 per hr. It has now been many months (A/C parts they wanted to replace are still OK - 4/6/12!) since the pressure switch was replaced by my specialist, and my A/C still has no leaks in it. I also had a bad oil leak from a ruptured PS hose that started in their parking lot after their mechanic got in to drive it on to the lift. I assume it was just a coincidence. The owner of Carolina Car Care agreed that it was my "lucky day" that the leak happened while I was at his shop.

do yourself a favor, go elsewhere for service and repairs. This shop overcharges you for everything. At no time will any repair be under $200. You no sooner have one thing fixed and upon return of your vehicle something you never had a problem with before breaks down or is not working when you get your car back. You let them know immediately of this and you get an attitude from them right away that they did not cause the problem. The turn over of help at this place is way too much. Your never shown the old parts they replaced nor will they let you see what is being repaired. I cant even give this business any stars!

After being told by Tidelands and Beach Ford that they could not take 5 minutes to hook up my 2013 F250 to check the warning light I was referred by a local Advance Auto to Carolina Care Car. AWESOME service!!!! Not only did they hook up two machines, they called the Ford dealership to check on the part. Assured me I would make it home and that it should be covered under warranty. All at NO cost. Thanks for making time to check out my sensor, unlike the Ford Dealerships. Honest and friendly customer service.

Great place. Paul and company really know cars the old fashioned way. Nice and prices are very reasonable. They service all FIVE of my cars including oil change. They did a valve job on my 2001 Honda Civic...did a great job.

Terrible service. Had an appointment at 9, made me come back at 1 just to sit there for an hour and not even get my car worked on. Will never come back to this horrendous place.
